After staying in other Cali hotels, I decided to treat myself to a stay at the Intercontinental for a few days. I felt like I was at a destination resort. I had already explored Cali prior to checking in to the Intercontinental, so for the most part, I stayed on property and was as happy as I could be. The rooms were clean, as were all public areas in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The five on-site restaurants offered an incredible variety of food and drink and the prices were reasonable, considering the premium location. The gym is large and offers a wide variety of equipment. The pool area is enormous and very clean. The on-site spa offered a variety of services. I had a sports massage and a foot reflexology treatment. Both were quite good. I was very happy there was an ATM and bank in the same building. As a single female traveler, I felt safe in the hotel area. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

Adjacent to (part of?) the hotel is the Marco Polo Casino. It was a little sad. To me, it was not a "real" casino, because there were only machines - no dealers.

Everything is well maintained and comfortable.

The service staff at the terrace are amazingly slow, they take for ever to come to the table and even after that they take very long time to bring you whatever you order. Many times I have to get it myself.

The staff were all professional and courteous. The food was good and there was a wide selection to choose from. I think there were 4-5 different restaurants to choose from. The rooms were well kept. My favorite part was the terrace.

The bedrooms and bathrooms need updating, especially the matress. Also lifts very old and getting blocked quite often

No balcony to room, long way from reception and facilities on ground floor to 3rd floor, limited smoking area

The best part of the stay was the service from all hotel employees and the breakfast.

The room could use a little more decor, they need to fix some leaks in the room, because when it rains really hard some of the hallways had water.

Initial staff were not helpful on checkin as had a full house and no additional available rooms. Had to wait a day to book one night then wait the morning to book another was anxious with family of two small kids and moving

the property was very clean. i do not speak Spanish. many of the staff spoke English which made my stay much more comfortable. Room service was excellent. I can not wait to return.

Perfectly located, breakfast was delicious and very rich, the area of the pool for breakfast is the best!

Breakfast was amazing, the staff was really on the ball and friendly!
