The location was slightly away from the town but a short 5 minute drive. It was a short drive from La Fortuna waterfall which was great for our morning trip. The breakfast was great, the separate breakfast area had lots of bird feeders where you could see lots of birds come feed while you ate. We ate at the restaurant on the evening and the staff were great, checking everything was to our liking. Food was delicious. The chef even invited us to a party in the town after we had eaten which was very kind of him. The hot tub inside if the room was fantastic! we sat in there and relaxed after a long bumpy drive over through the mountains. The villa was spacious and had a safe and a large bed, it came with glasses and some kitchen stuff which was great.

It would have been great if there were screens in the big windows so that we could have had them open while in the hot tub to hear the sounds of the forest and to let a little steam out of the room. It would have been great to have more than 1 drink allowance for breakfast.

The view from the room and the bathtub was great. We could see the volcano clearly! There is a nice hike on the property, just make sure you take bug repellant. They did room service for breakfast this time around, which was punctual. They also hand a restaurant near the reception. Both breakfast and dinner food were tasty. The staff is nice and very accommodating.

There was bird poop on outdoor furniture but we wiped it off and it was fine.

The place was so peaceful and tranquil, it captured the essence of The rainforest. The view of the volcano was beautiful. This place Is walking distance to downtown. The staff was friendly, The food was amazing. The views was amazing. The rooms Was cleaned. The hot tub with the balcony is The way to go to experience the tranquility

The mattress was very hard to sleep On.

Our villa was very spacious and very clean. We liked the large bathroom, the outdoor rain shower, the kitchen area, and the living area. Our front porch was the best part. It was clean and comfortable. It also shielded us from rain. If you are lucky to have a clear day the view of the volcano is magnificent. In the morning you can enjoy watching toucans and other birds. We even saw a wild parrot. There are a lot of beautiful birds on the property. The overall appearance of the property is fantastic.

My only gripe with the room was the bed. I am not sure if queen size beds are different in Costa Rica but the bed we had was a full size bed by American measurements despite being advertised as a queen. I have a queen bed at home which is bigger so I felt the bed was too small for me to sleep in with another person. A newer mattress would also have been appreciated. It was very springy as if it was slept on a lot, and slightly concave. I did not find the bed comfortable, personally. I already have problems falling asleep at night, but the small concave springy mattress made it so that I had a very hard time sleeping on the second night.

The house surroundings were lovely and very well maintained with beautiful gardens and the amazing volcano view. The room itself was giant - and the bath tub in the middle of the room with the view for the nature outside was amazing.

Given that it gets a little chilly in the evenings and that we don't want to sleep with the air-co (environmental-friendly couple :)), they could provide a blanket and not just the bed sheet.

A lovely hideaway in the jungle. A bit far from La Fortuna but all the better for it. The staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was simple but served with a smile by the staff. The resident parrot (Matilda) is a great feature - ask about her back-story! 😃

Without a car it is difficult to get around and when the on-site restaurant is closed you have to call a taxi into La Fortuna.

We loved having our own villa with an amazing view of the volcano and garden, especially while enjoying the hot tub or lounge bed on the porch. We spent a lot of time out there. The kitchenette had basic tableware and cutlery, microwave, mini-fridge, sink, coffee maker. The bathroom was very updated and had a great shower. The location on a very quiet edge of town was easy to get to with a rental car but enough outside of the mix to feel calm and serene. We definitely enjoyed having our own parking space. Even though we didn't eat in at the on-site restaurant, we appreciated being able to have room service to our villa. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. And we loved the two friendly dogs that came to greet us over breakfast!

Very minor -- we would have liked to have had an extra roll of toilet paper in the room without having to ask and would have liked the recliner chair to have actually reclined! But those were very minor things.

Gorgeous spot with great views of the volcano, a little out of the town but only $6/7 in a taxi. Nice little restaurant on site with an excellent chef! Plenty of wildlife around

Having read reviews I thought something would have been done about the jacuzzi in the room. We were looking forward to enjoying it, and had the tub mostly filled when we turned on the jets.. Big mistake. Lots of dirt, and gunk came out along with a disgusting smell which was a shame as we had been looking forward to this!

The suite is separate and only a short walk to the restaurant. It is an amazing suite, very large with a king sized bed and luxurious. Sitting on the outside patio you are presented with a fantastic view of the enormous grounds full of wonderful trees and bushes where dozens of different kinds of colorful birds seem to call home. Coffee on the patio at sunrise is not to be missed.

I'm having a hard time finding something wrong with the place.

Resort was absolutely beautiful and staff was beyond accommodating. We had planned the trip as half our time near the volcano and the other half on the coast and I accidentally left a dream catcher gift for my daughter in the room. I contacted tropical suites and they mailed it to me to get at the new resort!! Incredible service, went above and beyond.
