Splendid weekend getaway in one splendid hotel 🙂! Location was excellent, hotel staff was very nice, polite, welcoming and helpful, 10 out of 10 for hotel staff. Food was also great, rooms comfortable and clean with fantastic view. Bus station to Old town right in front of hotel. We would definitely come back again!

The location is excellent, 15 minutes away from the Old Town (by bus) and 15 minutes walking from the Promenada street with a lot of restaurants, Sunset Beach, shops and other entertainments (example: shisha pub). It's also closed to (15 minutes by foot) beautiful sightseeing views, if you go another way. There's everything for everyone as it has very boutique beach as well 😀

The price was very, very expensive comparing to world standards, but Dubrovnik generally seems to be very expensive place and comparing to other prices in the area, cost was marketwise (although it's way high then other cities in Europe - I would expect lower prices). Moreover, you can't eat outside due to many, literally many wasps (unbelievably a lot).

The location was great to walk into Lapad with lots of restaurants, bars and tourist information. There is a bus stop a few hundred metres to easily get to the old town. The beach is at the bottom of the steps from the hotel where you can swim in the sea. The hotel was clean, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is quite dated and needs updating and some minor repairs inside. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis but 1 evening stayed for dinner in the hotel and it was a buffet, not a la carte as advertised (possibly due to being early in the season still). It was much cheaper than eating out so if you are trying to save money it's ok, but the quality and variety wasn't great.

The hotel has a beautiful terrace and access to the sea. You can have breakfast outside looking out over the terrace and the sea. It’s a buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Our room has a fantastic balcony which was spacious with view over bay. I’ve paid a lot more in other hotels for rooms with a view and not had. As good as view as this hotel for the price. Easy to get into old town by bus 4 just down from hotel. The bed was king size and really comfortable. It’s quiet and away from crowds.

Just be aware there are no lifts in the hotel so if you have mobility concerns request a room on ground floor.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Splendid and were very pleased with our experience. The location was ideal, with easy access to the city center just a 2-minute walk to the nearby bus stop, which costs only 2€. Additionally, a grocery store was conveniently located just an 8-minute walk away. The hotel is situated on the quieter side of the main tourist area, providing a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We traveled with a baby, and the hotel staff were extremely accommodating in arranging everything we needed for our little one. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping staff were kind and always had a friendly smile on their faces. We particularly enjoyed the stunning views from our balcony, which offered perfect sunsets that left us in awe. Moreover, the rooms were located on the shady side of the hotel, which prevented overheating during the day. The beach right next to the hotel was private and calm, providing a perfect spot for relaxation. We appreciated the hotel's beautiful green areas, which had plenty of plants and benches to sit and unwind. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Splendid to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. The friendly and welcoming staff, clean rooms, beautiful views, and convenient location make it an excellent choice for travelers. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

The only drawbacks we experienced were the absence of an elevator and limited options for vegetarian breakfast, but we were grateful for the soy milk option.

Location was good, lovely waterfront & swimming area, pleasant gardens, we has a room for three (like a standard double with a small annexe single room with its own balcony). Staff were very pleasant & helpful. 10 mins on the bus to the old town - right outside the hotel. Breafast plentiful & very satisfactory. Dinner the same. Nothing fancynor exceptional just good value. We played tennis - hired court, raquets, and balls - good value IMO @ €20 for an hour all up. If i were back in Dubrovnik, I would stay again & recommend it.

We had nothing negative from our stay. However, it didn't seem to be an easy building to get around if your mobility isn't up to stairs. I don't think there is a lift, and there are stairs that you cannot avoid to get to the breakfast / dining room. Worth noting if this is important to you or someone in your party. (didn't affect us). If I am incorrect, please can the hotel correct me and accept my apologiles

Excellent location for sight seeing around the Dubrovnik area. Good access to private beach . The view from the balcony across sun set bay were spectacular. Staff were very helpful and friendly.Breakfast was generic buffet, not much variety throughout the week but it was well replenished .

The bedrooms were very clean but a little dated . There was a shortage of plug sockets and they were only accessible by crawling under a desk , there were none by the side of the bed which was inconvenient for charging phones.

What a lovely hotel with a fantastic view.!! Very quiet area .Stayed as a family..rooms were very comfortable and very clean..lovely staff , couldnt be more helpful. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it..lovely terrace to eat your breakfast on ! A lovely area roped off to go swimming in the sea and a nice area to sit out or go swimming from..toilets and changing facilities at the swim area..little beach bar down there too..hotel is a 2 min walk to bus stop to old town, fantastic value for €2 each..we can't wait to stay again!

Lovely clean basic room with a fabulous view across Lapad bay, slippers and fluffy robes were a nice touch. Bed extremely comfortable. Pleasant staff. Able to sign into and use my Netflix account. Plentiful and decent breakfast: hot, savoury and sweet. Bus stop right outside, although Lapad in itself is a lovely place to stay and explore, a seaside feel and lots of bars and restaurants, felt we got more bang for our buck staying there. Bus only 2 euros each way but free with the Dubrovnik pass. Would recommend Hotel Splendid and definitely stay here again.

Nothing

The hotel is just beside the sea. Where a whole evening can be spent with fresh air and scenic beauty. The rooms are spacious and clean. The balcony also has an amazing sea view. Breakfast options are just perfect. And can be enjoyed with seaview. Being a vegetarian found a little difficulty in having dinner in the restaurant as the options are very less. However the old city is just 10 mins by bus and has ample options for food. The hotel does not have elevator. And it was a little hectic to carry the luggage using the stairs.
