We were on a city break to Split and our choice was Hotel Amphora because of its location and Spa and Wellness centre and we did not choose wrong. I could say it was one of the best hotels in Croatia. From the very beginning the staff was extremely polite, they even offered us free upgrade to Superior room with Sea View. Room was spacious and the view from the balcony was fantastic. You could even hear sound of the waves with the balcony door opened. You have everything you need in the room, even the ironboard. Spa is great, even though there was a lot of guests at the time the pool and sauna’s were not crowded and you could enjoy your time. Complimentary tea in the sauna area is such a sweet detail. Location is 10 minutes drive from the old city but you could enjoy seaside walk in the hotel aera which is very peaceful and quiet. The beach is right in front of the hotel, and some people were swimming so if you are into one last swim for this year the location is great. Breakfast was really good and big plus is that you could enjoy your meal while looking at the sea.

Great location, the room and the amenities were fantastic with the great view from the balcony. The food from the restaurant was good and especially the breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice, quantity and quality. The spa is very modern and nice.

The noise generated from slamming doors early in the morning was very annoying. They should replace the door closing system to smoothen the door closure. Also at the pool level there is a bar serving drinks and food but the people who are present at the bar 90% of the time are unable to do anything for the customer and you have to wait for the official “Barman”

This is a fantastic hotel. Desk staff, housekeeping, spa staff, bell staff are all exceptional. My room was completely amazing. The view is breathtaking. The beach is right across the street. Breakfast was very good. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

The food and beverage and restaurant staff. I know coming out the pandemic and staff is getting up to speed, but they really need training and more than 1 competent bartender. To have to hunt down your waiter to get the check and finding them hanging around with each other. To the same exact menu every single day. This place could be amazing if they have a really good restaurant with a variety of dishes (maybe another salad option instead of 4 soups?). Maybe some sandwiches? Maybe learn how to make the drinks on your drink menu? What I received was not a Cosmopolitan. I just feel that the restaurant is such a missed opportunity for your hotel. Given the area, this hotel should be a destination for everyone around it, instead I found myself looking elsewhere.

Staff were not overly helpful. The location is very remote. Nothing around it and beach very run down.

We stayed here for our First Wedding Anniversary. I have stayed in many 5 star luxury hotels and although this is advertised as 4, the service, the rooms, the location felt like 6 Star. It truly is a wobderful Hotel with magnificent staff. I cant recommend it highly enough. The sea view is awesome and the breakfast was great, they had cooked and continental on the buffet. Free car parking, just cant go wrong really. Thanks!!

The pools were amazing one of the best breakfasts that I've had in a hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind. They gave us a wrap around balcony with impeccable views. I only wished that we had stayed here longer.

The only thing that I would say is that they're making a lot of improvements to the property. And this is not really a negative but you'll see them building as it looks like they're making a new restaurant on property.

Hotel is just at the waterfront, first row, much parking in front, absolutely quiet neighborhood. Check-In was very friendly, got two rooms very close to each other. Rooms are nicely decorated, clean and with good equipment. One lounge chair could need some cleaning. Balcony with stunning view over the sea, the islands and the mountains! Bathroom tidy and clean, not smelly or something as mentioned in other comments. Clean and beautiful swimming pool from which you also have great views on the sea and the islands. Sauna is not hot enough, steam bath smells weird. In general, spa area looks really fancy, I had high hopes but it unfortunately lacks the basics of a sauna spa. Included breakfast buffet was enourmous!! Literally everything is there! Good coffee machine, meat/veggy/vegan options everywhere, staff welcoming and friendly! Takes about 25-30 minutes to walk into the old town. Easy to find, you just walk on the nice sea front promenade down to the riva. Otherwise you can take a taxi, takes like 10 minutes. Hotel Location is not completely central so it depends what you’re looking for but if you’re looking for a quiet and spacious hotel with panoramic views in walking distance to Split Centrum, I would highly recommend it! Definitely good competition to Radison!

I loved the room with sea view. Room was spotless clean, had very effective airconditioning and bathroom with easy accessible shower. Bed was big and mattress firm. Breakfast was delicious. Spa area was peaceful and we enjoyed 2 kind of saunas and saltroom. There were nice showers with color and dofts. Heated swimming pool was big enough for swimming and there was also pool outdoors. Staff was polite and nice. Hotel offered a garage parking but there was also free public parking area in front of the hotel.

Shampoo and soap was less then half full, Toilet paper roll almost gone but left in the bathroom for our use. See photos!
