The location is central to the old party of town, so it’s easy to get to shops, the sites, the port, and bus transport to the airport. I stayed in room 110- it was nearly perfect. the bed and linens were high quality and very comfortable. the bathroom was spacious and the shower had great pressure. The morning breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I would recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely stay at the Heritage Hotel Santa Lucia in the future.

A few adjustments would make this hotel perfect: 1. find ways to dampen the noise. the music that is piped through the hotel plays at all hours, and for a light sleeper like myself it is disturbing. I also found my room was noisy because of the location next to the indoor courtyard. the sound reverberated as a result. 2. the check in person, while very friendly, seemed to be stumped for places to recommend - for dinner, for massages, etc.

Very kind and helpful staff (Drago and Meri especially). Went out of their way to make sure parking was in a good location where I would not get towed (offered their own spot at a rate of $25Euro/day though I found parking elsewhere) and helped to make dinner reservations nearby. Rooms were spacious, quiet and very clean. Breakfast buffet had considerable selection and everything tasted nice. Location was amazing -- quick walk to everywhere you could think of and right in the action if that's what you're looking for.

Amazing hotel!!! Located in the heart of Split, beautifully renovated and the staff was very kind and super helpful. Breakfast buffet included in our rate was decent, nothing special, but loved the sparkling wine offered. Everything we wanted to go to was max 500 feet from hotel, the location couldn’t be beat.

The room cleaning could have been a little bit better (noticed the floors weren’t thoroughly swept) but not too much of an issue for us. This wasn’t an issue for me but since the hotel is in the middle of the old town there is some noise from the street that you can hear at night from people going to/from the bars.

The staff are extremely helpful. They upgraded my room and allowed me to check in early. They helped me with numerous queries about restaurants and travel options around the Dalmatian Coast. The rooms are spacious, quiet and the coffee maker is a good touch. Bottled water and excellent toiletries along with fluffy towels, robe and slippers are available. The location is a bonus. You are in the core of the old town. Breakfast had an abundant selection of food groups to choose from and the coffee was excellent. The lobby has a nice ambiance and the A/C invites you to sit a while after the heat and hussle outside. The terrace leading on to the plaza is a great spot to sip a cool refreshing beverage and listen to good stories, making magic memories.

The location of the property is amazing. Whilst it is not overlooking the water, (2min walk down) it is in a beautiful little square which is quiet at night. Our check in was pleasant and easy and got all the information we needed for our stay. The aesthetics are beautiful and it felt really luxurious. Bathroom was heaven! The restaurant across the square had very friendly staff and great food also. We had some rain during our stay but the front of the hotel has a large undercover area which allowed us to still sit outside and enjoy the serenity and people watch. My son got a kick out of having a two story hotel room and it gave us all some privacy and separation (not that we were in the room much).

Unlike other hotels I/we have stayed in, the staff are not forthcoming with smiles and friendliness when you leave or return to the hotel. The downstairs area of the duplex room has the sofa bed, and this was where the TV is located. Upstairs where the queen bed was there was no TV, not a big deal but found it odd there wasn’t another TV in the main bedroom. Breakfast was included in our stay however unfortunately we didn’t get to experience it just due to timing on the few days we were there

The breakfast was superb and we loved sitting outside on the bar stools of the cafe area at the front watching the world go by after a busy day of travel and site seeing. It was a wonderful place to return to due to really efficient air conditioning inside the hotel and most importantly in our bedroom. I hate air con but didn't have a problem with this system. It worked perfectly as we needed to keep the windows shut to sleep at night as you are in the thick of it .... which is why we loved the location.

We didn't eat at the hotel but might have had we not come across other lovely places to enjoy.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Split, it has a lovely charm replicating an older style. The bedroom was exceptional: parquet flooring, very large bed, large bathroom. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillows/ bedsheets were sumptuous.

The only reason I didn’t give this hotel 10/10 was the breakfast which was a little basic compared to the quality of the hotel itself. The food items were- for English guests - a bit underwhelming (choice of cereal products were limited and not great quality). The fresh bread was delicious (though no toaster). Some juice and coffee/tea was available too.

Got upgraded to a lovely massive room facing the main square. Really comfy bed/pillows, lovely soft bedding, awesome shower, excellent ducted air/heating, opening windows, nice and modern, lovely staff, perfect location in the old town only 3min walk from taxi stand. Private taxi transfer driver carried my bags.

I expected a better breakfast from a 4 star hotel. Terrible hairdryer. Uncomfortable lounge chairs in the room. Airport shuttle is a taxi that costs €45. The dude tried to charge me €52 when dropping me off at the airport.

The location was excellent.

Two things come to mind . Could have done with tea & coffee in the room so you make a cuppa first thing in the morning. The other thing which annoyed me it’s takes ages for someone to ask what drink you would like and then takes ages to come to the table only to see all the men waiters chatting together at the bar. A few times I nearly gave up buying a second drink or waiting for 2 nd drink to arrive a couple of times . Apart from that an excellent hotel .

The staff at breakfast were not very forthcoming and inconsistent with service. No one told us we could order speciality coffees, we had to chase them to take orders from us. Apart from the younger waiter on the last day who was great - wish I could remember his name! I think the cleaners had a storage room next to our room so we were woken up every morning by them
