It was easy to get to coming off the M4. Parking was easy and close. The entrance hall/bar area/dining area were light, bright and airy. It was described as dog friendly. It really was! I was bringing my dog to see a nearby specialist vet. The staff all learnt her name and were very friendly, kind and caring. There is a decent sized area of grass and a wooded area just outside which is especially handy when you have a dog. All the food was lovely and well cooked. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym are open to residents.

The bed was a bit small for myself and my 6’3’ husband. There is obviously constant decoration going on but some of the paintwork was a bit tired. The pool was very handy but quite small, more for bathing than swimming. (I am a swimmer though and it’s more than fine for most people)

Booked last minute and found the hotel to be excellent value for money, with extra free facilities like the indoor heated pool.whoch was brilliant for a morning swim with the kids before setting off on the road again. The staff are very welcoming and Mandy in the restaurant is a shining example of a hard working, cheerful, friendly member of staff even in the middle of an extremely busy breakfast service (a group had just come into the dining area and it was chaos, yet she welcomed us with a big smile and kind words for the kids. The room is clean and comfortable, with little welcome treats like coffee & tea bags, custard biscuits etc. We also loved the location on the edge of town (didn't want to go into the city itself) and the easy, free parking.

Not the hotel's fault, but some guests coming back to their rooms at night are very noisy (singing!) in the hallway which wasn't ideal with small kids who go to bed early. It might be an idea to put an extra door in by the bedroom to help with sound travelling.

I have stayed here several times over the years. always very pleased. Rooms clean, good selection at breakfast, friendly staff, plenty of car parking and a convenient garage next door selling food, papers, personal items etc. which is very useful.

The room I had this time, even though modern and clean, was quite small with a very small bathroom, I had a lot of trouble with the TV. a precious guest must have adjusted it for whatever reason and I could not even get BBC 1 or 2. Plus ITV was not on channel 3, 4 or 5. The Receptionist did his best to adjust, but someone from IT needed or a new TV.

I enquired in advance whether it was possible to collect the keys early, around 12pm as we were attending the wedding at 1pm. I explained we didn't want to access the room, just collect the keys and this was agreed. On arrival I was informed the keys couldnt be released as the room was being cleaned. Instead a note was made that we will be checking in late, possibly after midnight. This is all fine and it wasn't a major problem however if it was clarified to start with we wouldn't have to waste time for an unnecessary journey.

Good location, good food - dinner and breakfast. Buffet breakfast as expected from IHG chain - nice selection, good value. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Nice overall feeling with decor, space, atmosphere. Great to have a decent size pool.

Room heating was very noisy at night - radiator ticked on any setting. Swimming pool cold for me! Starbucks coffee too expensive. We changed from allocated room due to buzzing noise on arrival - outside aircon? Allocated room was smaller but fine. Couldn't book second night at the front desk, had to do it online and so lost out on IHG points, which was disappointing.

It was quite noisy on the Friday and Saturday evening, there was a party in the function room on both nights and although we were on the other side of the building the guests going to their rooms drunk were very loud in the hallway. Maybe don’t put family guests near guests that are attending a function and will most likely be loud as a result as we had two toddlers trying to sleep in our room

Stayed in a premier twin room which has a fridge with complementary water and fizzy drinks also given crisps and chocolate and robe and slippers. The staff were very friendly and the food included in the dinner bb offer that we booked was excellent, my main course one night took a bit longer to be brought to the table so was offered a large complementary drink which was a lovely gesture. What was also nice was the hotel offered items such as toothbrush toothpaste razors for free if you had forgot to bring. I really enjoyed the swimming and spa pools and also the sauna. The hotel is very near the coate nature park which was lovely, saw lots of wildlife and had a lovely walk would stay at this hotel again.

I feel the breakfast ending at 9.30 was too early for a family hotel as some people like a lie in when on holiday. On the last morning we overslept and missed breakfast which was annoying. The light from the corridor was rather annoying at night as it shone through the door gaps to the room I like a dark room when I sleep

Room was comfortable, warm and clean. However, there were a couple of issues in room 127, the standard lamp didn't work, the toilet seat was loose, there wasn't any hot water in the bathroom sink tap but there was in the shower. The bathroom itself was very shabby, especially the door from water damage. When we went for breakfast at 09:00, most of the items were cold, except for the baked beans. The dining room itself was very cold, even the staff complained.

Unbeatable value for money. Rooms were quiet, the beds were comfortable enough, and breakfast & dinner were very decent.

The rooms could do with a bit of maintenance (one of the windows could not close properly). In the restaurant, we noticed that some sauce sachets had expired, but the staff member we reported it to insisted the dates were "manufacture" dates.... meaning the other sachets had been time travelling ! That got the kids excited, but, in my opinion, some kitchen staff could benefit from a bit of training.

Me and my family were happy with the Breakfast, room was to the standard requirement and cleanliness was fantastic. we did like the rooms location and hope to return one day. Reception staff Hanna was very helpful and was able to meet our requirement, Tash very supportive and Yolenyana -Housekeeping supervisor was very supportive and friendly. All staff in the Health club including Nikki were all welcoming. and staff from the breakfast and the bar were all supportive,
