I stayed at this hotel for just one night, so I didn’t have high expectations. Overall, the hotel is fine, it's centrally located and lobby looks nice. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was basic but tasty, with everything you need to start the day. It was great that breakfast was included, as the price was reasonable. The room was clean, though there was a slightly strange smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the window in the room didn’t open—I’m not sure if it was broken or just locked, but I couldn’t get it to open. The air conditioning & WiFi worked very well, so that was a plus. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone passing through Swindon.

Staff were excellent Bed was comfortable Shower was very good WI-FI strong, fast and reliable All areas were clean and well organised

Room was right opposite several late night bars and a night club, so most nights you could hear loud music and drunken revellers until 2am The general area is pretty run down with many shops boarded up or semi-derelict Every day there were some pretty dodgy characters wandering around outside One night around 9pm when a taxi dropped me off some guy was actually urinating against a window outside

Extremely convenient for both parking at Shepherd Street and for town, plus 12 O'clock check out time for those who love to stay in bed! Decor was very esoteric in that it felt like being in a toy box, but that's just me having been used to more luxurious hotels. Absolutely nothing wrong with it given the style of hotel and price point, and the very clean room met our standards. Bit strange having a fitted double glazed window with curtains with only a breeze block wall to open into, would have made more sense (and less cost) to just build the room with a curtain only or none at all 🤣. Have already booked again for another event planned later in November 👌

Nothing really given the expectations of just having a bed for the night.

Rooms are very small but for one person it suited me well. TV is nearly as big as the room! Breakfast was excellent and though continental, it was very fresh, good variety and cleanliness was above average. Cleanliness and a comfortable bed are paramount for a good stay and this hotel certainly provides that. The hotel is at the entrance to the town with excellent shopping and a five/ten minute walk to the bus station for onward travel.

There is only one small chair in the room and nowhere to really put things but again for one person it suited me. No kettle for coffee which would have been nice. It's really just a bed and a TV and the separate bathroom is very clean and functional. Overall I was very happy with everything and I think it is great value and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The staff are sociable and pleasant to speak with. They had no issue with helping me with my queries. The room is as shown on the website, clean and well maintained. The hotel was also kind enough to look after my luggage after I checked out so that I could come and collect them later, this was much appreciated.

The breakfast selection is standard, but I would have appreciated some selection of sauces to go with the bacon. No option for ketchup or anything meant the bacon was very dry. The lukewarm milk also tasted off but I suppose that can't be helped without setting up a mini fridge.

The room was spacious with a very comfortable, double bed, large TV with a good signal and a clean, ensuite bathroom with a power shower. The staff were generally pleasant and polite. Regarding the location, the hotel is only a five minute walk from the train station and there are lots of amenities nearby in the town centre.

The check-in procedure was a bit confusing as there was no reception or check-in desk. I had to check in with the man behind the bar, which was unusual by traditional hotel standards. In addition, it was disappointing to discover that there were no kettle or tea or coffee in the bedroom (other Ibis hotels usually provide these).

I thought, like a lot of Swindon town centre at the moment, it was going to be a nightmare to get to to, but it was easy to find & not far to walk from Swindon station. Even though the area the Ibis is in has quite a few late night clubs about, it is quite quiet and for a Friday night, it was a lot quieter than I expected. My room was compact with a ensuite toilet, basin & shower, ample & comfortable double bed, usb sockets by the bed & reading lights over the bed & TV opposite the bed. No wardrobe, but hangers on a rail instead. The only thing my room didn't have was a kettle & tea making things, but the bar downstairs is 24-hr service, so various drinks are available. There was no food (breakfast) included with the room, but the bar area has a restaurant, not sure if it's open mornings though. Both the staff I met were chatty & polite and very helpful. Entry to check-in is through the front automatic doors or the side door through the bar area. No door keys here, only credit card style remote locks & the lift works via your door card, I didn't have any problems here with mine (unlike some problems I've had with another hotel chain.) Overall, for a night out or weekend away, I'd say this place is very good & underused.

My room was 129, on the first floor and near the end of long winding corridor; I went the wrong way a couple of times as the signs saying "which way to the lift" are not near each turn. There was a window in my room, but of no use whatsoever as there's a brick wall about 10cm away as soon as you open it. What's the point ? Take the window out and place a nice picture of the countryside or interesting facts & places to see in Swindon, there instead. The room doesn't need the window as it's got aircon as well as heating. I think it's got free WiFi as well, but I didn't use it during my stay.

A bit confusing finding the entrance because I walked into next door hotel who were very jovial. Getting in late at night a problem despite showing the pot cleaner my key through window he ignored me Trying to find the night button auto fire door impossible until a couple coming back showed me.Continental breakfast and guests friendly Very clean had to tell staff to remove clean film covering from meat dish and ask coffee machine staff more pe occupied with what hours they were working

Mote attenditive staff at bar breakfast

Fantastic budget hotel, nice room with comfortable bed, nice shower with a good quality viewing TV. The staff were really helpful and a pleasure to talk to, concerning any enquires that we had. Being that we are both vegan/vegetarian, the staff offered a fantastic vegan/vegetarian option for breakfast and provided really good quality food.

Not much to not like, although forgetting to read about the facilities available, we would have loved to have had the option of a kettle to make our own drinks.

This is my 4th stay and the breakfast was unusual good standard.

Not the fault of the Hotel, I was awoken at 01.00 to noise outside, the window was open and I went to shut it. I was surprised to see the noise not be generated by drunk youths, but a film crew running around the streets with lights microphone and cameras. I am guessing this was a college or university project by people who do not think before making noise around Hotels at night. Must admit I did watch for a few minutes before going back to bed.
