The property was clean and Beautiful. Good was very good and fresh.

My Family experienced some racism from a worker in the dinning area where you have open buffet. Her name was Elisandra. On several nights we attended dinner she would purposely not serve my family we are African American and she served the White couple sitting exactly right next to us and even they recognized her behavior and gave us her name. This happend for 4 nights straight and our stay was 5 days . She also was very friendly with other races and disregarded Black people. I had to ask another server for help and the male server gave us water and she stormed over and said to me “I told you to wait” I was so insulted and felt like my vacation I had worked so hard for was a waste. Elisandra at the Riu Republica in Punta Cana made my whole experience traumatizing for me and my family.

I liked everything about this resort. It is really a party hotel. Was celebrating my birthday. Everything was right on the property or they offered transportation. The hotel staffs were friendly. It’s a safe resort. No outsiders.

The resort food options need a whole new revamp. The food is not great. The Dominican Republic national dish Mangu was even disappointing. I want more traditional culture food and taste from DR. The resort didn’t hit that mark for me.

The food options and quality were absolutely incredible! The staff was super friendly. The pools were amazing and loved the options of how each one had a different vibe. The drinks were delicious and loved the beach (was also very clean). Would highly recommend to anyone looking to go to Punta Cana!

My partner and I absolutely LOVED our stay. We stayed from Wed-Sun for my birthday on Thurs and wish we stayed longer! Only about a 25 minute drive from the Punta Cana airport. The check in process was smooth, simple and quick. Our room was 2371 and it had a beautiful view, was just the right size and clean as a whistle. The bed was comfortable although we wished the pillows were a bit bigger (not a big deal). The food was amazing at all of the restaurants that we ate all for all 3 meals. THE DRINKS WERE DELICIOUS AS WELL! There are so many pools to choose from and each with its own vibe (relaxing, party or even both) and the water slides were so much fun, had us feeling like little kids again. The bars were all so quick and great. The music was also poppin, they played all types of genres. Literally 90% of the entire property's staff were friendly, smiling and singing while they worked! We felt very safe and taken care of our entire stay. The beach was absolutely stunning and a nice 5 minute walk through the property from our room. The wifi was strong throughout the whole property even on the beach too , had absolutely no issues with it. The hotel also gave me a little painting, note and pen since it was my birthday which was a cute touch. ALSO there was about 6 random cats that we guess lived on the island near the resort that were walking around greeting everyone, so cute! 100% will go back!

The pillow size, the room got cold-ish at night, the shower head in the bathroom could have been a little bit nicer, the snack at the sports bar weren't the best and the gym was a tad small (all of these not a big deal at all)

Staff were friendly and helpful. Our housekeeper was wonderful and kind. Nightly activities/shows at the main stage were fun.

Had issues with room key not working. Finally got a different room. That room had colder shower, toilet kept running, safe lock didn't work. Our daughter's room didn't lock for over a day--they eventually changed the whole door. Rundown areas. No light at the bottom floor elevator for several days. Dark in that area. Needs better maintenance upkeep. When we checked in the card readers didn't accept my credit card. I had to call my company. They finally used a 3rd, handheld machine, which accepted the card. Very stressful for me after a full day of traveling.

We left very pleasantly surprised by the hotel, huge pools, great beach, delicious food, we stayed 8 days and didn’t leave the hotel at all we had everything we could want and need right there, so many restaurants and all with delicious food, great cocktails, friendly service, definitely more of a partying/drinking atmosphere, but it’s big enough for you to be able to just chill if you’re not feeling like getting wasted everyday, 100% worth what we paid.

The food is good, though it can feel repetitive after a few days. Great facilities, good service (if a bit inconsistent), and good support via the Riu app. Lots of things to do, and abundant food and drinks.

The drink selection is pretty good, but a bit lacking. Some of the ingredients are mediocre quality. I would have expected something better. Especially for a tropical destination it is very disappointing to see how cocktails are prepared.

Staff was excellent .activities where great food was very good no waiting

Only issue was my door key was not work properly the hotel is not a 5 star hotel I'll grade 4 but a very good 4 clean personal very attentive it's mostly a younger people but we senior fit right in the beach should be a little more organized and vendor shouldn't be so pushing they make you feel very uncomfortable but otherwise I we love it

The room was clean and well stacked. The staff were friendly. The entertainment was great throughout the day and night. The nightclub was so much fun. The food was good.

Booking states one price, and when you get to the hotel, it's another price. It was almost an $80 USD difference. They stated you don't need to make reservations for dinner. It's a first come, first serve policy, but it's false. You have to get to the restaurant at 6 pm to reserve your spot. The slides are not in service.

Great room and view! Loved the jacuzzi! Fun events during the day and night! Food was prepared well and was delicious! Staff is very helpful and attentive throughout resort! Spa is small but I enjoyed the services!

Smoking is allowed throughout the property. I wish there were specific sections for this as cigarettes are my biggest annoyance in life lol
