The BED is very hard! Please think about changing that. My body was aching very bad

The Location, beautiful views from our room. The staff: Francesas( Select Reception ), Harrison at the Bar was very friendly.

The Food in the Mexican Restaurant was not good It had no flavor our group agreed it was the worst. The Buffet is too small for the amount of people at the resort it’s was too crowded although the seating area reserved for SELECT customers is Nice. The Rooms are outdated and it wasn’t clean, there was stain in the Shower and selling.

The property is really pretty the outside, of course but the rooms was not so so awesome. Our experience there this time around was not a good one. I will not be returning.

I did not like how the workers there treated my sister-in-law they treated her like if she was a criminal from the start, which was not right because she paid more money than we all did and they gave her crappy room.

The location and Hermanns Restaurant

Bed and pillows should be more comfortable and more specialty restaurant should be available especially in the select area.

The rooms in the adult section were nicer than the regular rooms. Obviously more expensive.

Poor Food selection - very limited. Disappointing.

The staff was very friendly, super attentive and took great care of us. While the buffet selection wasn't extensive which is understandable since it was off-season, the food was great and reminded me of home cooked meals. The Select side was worth the extra $ if you enjoy peace and quiet and less crowded pools - a good amount of locals checked in on the weekend and the other pools were louder and had a lot more people, but with 4 pools, a kiddie pool, 4 outdoor jacuzzis and a beautiful beach, you can find plenty of quiet spots to lay out and read a book in the shade or enjoy some cocktails in the water and sunshine. The bartenders were fantastic and brought drinks to us constantly no matter where we were, we didn't have to get up to go to the bar at all. The buffet and restaurant staff were all super friendly and attentive and made every meal enjoyable. Overall, we were extremely happy with the service, the facilities and the great staff.

It's a minor complaint, but at first I found the mattresses a bit hard and uncomfortable. If you're used to a soft memory foam mattress, you will definitely notice the difference. However, I ended up sleeping fine and my initial concern turned out not to be a problem. After a full day of pina coladas, good food and soaking in the pool, I slept like a rock. The one thing I wasn't happy about was that they were doing construction on the roof of the building I was in - again, it was off-season, but it would have been greatly appreciated if they had mentioned it when we checked. The hammering started about 10am and went on through 4-5 in the afternoon. We were out of the room most of the day so it wasn't a huge deal in the end. That lasted about two days and they didn't work on the weekend. I would suggest you ask when checking in if they're doing any work in your building and change rooms if you can. The construction noise wasn't noticeable from the pools and other buildings. Other than that, no other complaints. It's not a 5-star hotel obviously, but if you go in with realistic expectations, you will have a great stay. Most people we met there have been going there for years, and we will definitely be returning, so I would say if you're looking for an all inclusive resort in DR, and in Puerta Plata, you can't go wrong with Casa Marina, and even better with Select.
