the boutique itself was amazing and you felt like you were transported back in the. the staff were wonderful and very attentive to our needs:). we would definitely, without a doubt stay there again:). thank you from the bottom of or heart for the wonderful bottle of wine in our room upon arrival ❤️

the only neg thing was the calle Ronda itself as was not safe to walk around after dark:)

Casona de la Ronda is a beautiful hotel in a historic building from 1738 in the old centre of Quito. The rooms and colonial-style patio are lovely (the bed was huge!), but what made our stay exceptional was the charm and helpfulness of all the staff and their attention to every detail. Central Quito has a difficult reputation, and the street, known to everyone as La Ronda, is a major party venue on Friday and Saturday nights, but we weren't bothered by noise, and the staff were extremely careful to ensure we never went anywhere that could be dangerous. Absolutely recommended.

The La Casona de la Ronda Hotel is close to the historical centre of Quito, about ten minutes walk. The staff were friendly, efficient and competent. They arranged pick up from the airport which is about an hours drive from Quito. The main hotel is in a sympathetically restored historic building and has a great atmosphere. However, we stayed in an apartment in a modern three floor annex a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Our one bed apartment had a fully equipped modern kitchen, including a dishwasher. There were also a washing machine and tumble drier. The lounge was spacious and well equipped with soft seating and associated furnishing. There were two toilets. The small restaurant in the main hotel served excellent and varied meals. The hotel staff advised on and arranged private tours around the area. Being in a vibrant area of Quito there were several bright musical bars which attracted local people and other tourists. Hotel security staff were on hand to accompany guests from the main hotel to the apartment annex, if requested. We liked this hotel. We would stay there again.

Quito seemed edgy. We had a few delightful conversations with Tourist Police Officers who gave us normal advice about not carrying valuables and keeping cameras out of sight. This heightened awareness of local petty crime continued with the vigilance of the hotel security team. I wonder if this was necessary or overdone.

This is a beautiful hotel with exceptional staff. Our room was huge with the biggest king size bed I've ever seen. Great service. The restaurant is extremely good. Lots to see and do in the area around the hotel.

You cannot drive your car to the front door of the hotel. I was a little concerned about this because I had a lot of luggage. But it is a very short downhill walk from the street to the front door. The staff are great at handling your luggage to and from your room. After being at the hotel I found this not to be a problem. I plan to return to this hotel often.

Beautiful and very large apartment steps away from lots to do on the La Ronda but also no problems with noise or safety concerns. We loved Quito and this was a great place to stay while we visited for the first time. The staff was very helpful, carrying heavy bags up many flights of stairs, helping with parking, and coming to clean while we were gone.

The staff was very helpful and attentive to our safety and comfort. Most were bilingual in Spanish and English. The location was good for sightseeing and dining.

The hills in the historic city were challenging for those not accustomed to the altitude. The hotel is located on a mostly pedestrian street, so pickup and drop off can be an issue, but the hotel staff does a good job smoothing that out.

The hotel is beautiful inside. There is beautiful greenery, wood furnishings and lovely mosaics throughout the hotel band in the rooms. The breakfast buffet features a variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, cheeses, breads, honey, jams, cereal, granola, and delicious coffee. There is a chef available to create omelets. We enjoyed delicious homemade soups one day. the breakfast wait staff and Omar in the afternoon and evening are attentive, professional, and friendly.

I can’t think of anything except our bathroom was quite small.

The staff! The entire staff was always willing and able to assist us with any problem or questions we had. They at least dealt with the issue at hand and tried to find a resolution. The staff from the front desk manager, the concierge, the restaurant staff, security attendant, even and especially the housekeeping staff all came through for us and they exceeded our expectations.

The penthouse apartment that we rented was not clean. In fact it was very dirty. The floor was filthy. The kitchen was not fully equipped with kitchen essentials for cooking. There was much that could have been supplied like more kitchen utensils, more variety dishware, more cleaning supplies and more dish towels.

Really enjoyed the hotel, all staff was patient and accommodating. Food was very good, breakfast exceptional! Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The old town area architecture was interesting.

The rooms on the street-side/front were noisy at night. Dinner options nearby were much less expensive than at the hotel. I specifically asked about complimentary transportation to the airport, the answer: "we will arrange" did not convey the truth of: "you will pay" which we found out when we got dropped at the airport.

Charming design of the hotel, inner yard, nice personnel. You can drink tea with homemade cakes each evening in the lobby. The lobby has a greenhouse.

The first room that we got because the window there was very high at the corner of the room. But we got another beautiful room the next day when we asked.
