Hotel is a living museum!!! Amazing interior for someone who appreciates history in every detail! We just loved it so much!

Location is very central! And it's good and bad same time! Noise and pollution just crazy! No stop! Although it's best way to experience present Alexandria!

I loved our stay immensely. The location, close to markets and St Marks Cathedral. Room clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a room with sea views. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Terrace was terrific with a great variety of food and beverages. The view from the terrace was fabulous, a great place to sit back and enjoy the sunsets. Breakfasts was ok. Check-in was great, staff polite and welcoming. Common areas very clean. Christina’s greeting was warm and welcoming. She was extremely helpful and accommodating with all our needs.

Breakfast could have a bit more variety, though was satisfying enough. Wait staff in restaurants, in need of additional training to cater for non Egyptians travellers. I didn’t like how locals dining were given preference over in-house guest..(Carol). The golden hour light dinner was unacceptable, food stale or soggy, the choice was limited, beverages only included wine, tea ,coffee, water, juice nothing else offered. Had to purchase all other drinks. In my opinion this is more a high tea, not a light dinner. If this is an attempt at a club lounge, it needs some fine tuning. I would not include this in my stay.

Living in the Windsor Hotel is a magical experience because it is like living in the history of Alexandria. The structure is beautiful and elegant and the atmosphere is full of charm and style as it was in the early twentieth century. The location is perfect for visiting the city's attractions. I recommend a room with a view of the sea and the gulf of the old port. The quality of service is excellent and the staff is always courteous and efficient. Our stay was unforgettable.The breakfast is excellent and the view from the terrace of the restaurant at the 6th floor is superbe.

It's all right!

Located right on the Corniche with easy access to local sights. Welcome drink on arrival. Spacious room with comfortable bed, no street noise (4th floor) well equipped bathroom. Restaurant and Breakfast Room on 6th floor with amazing views, and great choices of food at breakfast and dinner. It was nice that the original lifts had been retained, they worked well. Christina was very helpful with arranging local sightseeing, and also my trip to El Alemain sites and museum. Front desk staff and security staff were all kind and friendly, would definately stay again.

Everything from location, sea view, decoration in the room, and roof-top where you can enjoy a nice breakfast. I will definitely come back next time as we really enjoyed it. You can also walk to get to the citadel. There are numerous restaurants/coffee /juice bars near this hotel.

We booked a room including a light dinner but we missed it. Likely some misunderstanding here. We came back to our room around 6pm and called the reception at 7.30pm to check where the light dinner was and this is when they told us we missed it. They mentioned they had called our room but we did not get their message or heard the phone call. It would have been lovely to be offered a complimentary drink/snack instead but not the end of the world we were happy with our 24-hour stay in this hotel.

Staff, breakfast, cleanness, the view, the spacious room, the relaxing stay, the location and the rooftop, elegant furniture and decorations. I really appreciate the great efforts made by all staff there. Special thanks to Ms. Christina at the reception. She is very helpful and courteous. Also, Mr. Hussein at the restaurant was doing his best to make all the guests enjoy their breakfast. The housekeeping ladies kept the room very clean. I really liked the comfy bed. I could see the citadel from my bed! We had a very easy fast check in and check out. We arrived early and I told the reception that we could wait till the room is ready, but we were amazed to find our room ready while we were having breakfast at the roof. This really exceeded my expectations. I will be back for sure!

I liked that they served filtered American coffee at breakfast, which is not the usual for many hotels in Alexandria (even big names) who serve the dreadful instant coffee. However, choosing better coffee brands (in terms of taste and quality) for brewing coffee at breakfast will be a plus for coffee lovers. I also went to the beach at Paradise inn beach resort twice for two days (extra payment). It would be great if Windsor guests received a voucher for free beach access or with discounted charge to visit the beach by Paradise Inn group.

Old Classic place since 1902 and they keep the hotel as much they can classic and antique, I felt I am living in early of twentieth century, a wonderful feeling . Breakfast area and restaurant location and view are very amazing, you can see sea and the city. Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Christina and Wasef and all other staff members

Food variety in breakfast, coffee machine in breakfast is old and slow , food buffet recharge from staff is slow, nothing special in food , normal food but restaurant location is very attractive you can take your breakfast next to sea view

Christina is amazing and helped us from the second we stepped into the hotel. Check in was easy and the front desk staff were great. Drinks and cookies on arrival while we were being checked in. It is in a great location and has some historical features. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond for every need. Christina helped up book a tour/driver for a full day tour in Alexandria and we loved it. Our local guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all of the best places. Christina also organised a car for us from Alexandria back to Cairo. Our driver was great and took such great care of us on the long ride. I can’t recommend this place more. The free breakfast was nice and the staff who run it do a great job.

Be aware that it is an old hotel so there are some old features to it.

The Windsor oozes old charm and somewhat faded but comfortable glamour. I normally don’t step foot in elevators but loved this beauty from a different era. Breakfasts on the terrace were a morning treat with a wide variety of curated selection; the sunny view of the Mediterranean was hard to leave! Throughout the hotel from reception, to cleaning to restaurant, staff were always helpful and accommodating. We especially appreciated the assistance in arranging drivers for a day trip and to the airport. I recommend using the hotel drivers for these trips outside the city as their cars were new, very reliable and they knew exactly where you needed to go. The airport is a good 45 minutes out of Alexandria. The Windsor was part of the Alexandrian experience and the location couldn’t be better.

At first, we wondered about the traffic noise at night but after closing the doors and shutters it was reduced considerably and not a problem for us.

property is really luxurious reflecting a lot from the royal era of Egypt (40’s &50’s of last century) especially that management succeeded to well maintain its unique antique character & atmosphere!! Once I enter this hotel I feel I travel in time to the past!! it was a very good experience! Thé staff was very friendly especially Christine who made an effort to accommodate my needs & Michael, Lara in front desk with their welcoming smiles, Fatma in room service who was always available whenever needed and concierge/security staff who were helpful as well. Not forgetting the whole staff/waiters/waitresses & chefs in the breakfast area & Blue Harbor restaurant.

I cannot remember a negative side to my experience in Windsor Palace!
