Tucked away near the Valley of the Kings, Al Moudira Hotel is a true hidden gem that offers a distinctive and captivating experience. This enchanting retreat, though 45 minutes away from the city center, perfectly blends antiquity and comfort in a unique, luxurious setting. We spent five remarkable days in a boutique suite characterized by its unique decor and the most wonderful Egyptian cotton bedding, providing an unmatched level of comfort and quality. The hotel grounds are fantastic, boasting an enchanting garden complete with a lovely pool area. The pool bar offers great food, creating a perfect relaxation ambiance after a day of sightseeing. Their dedicated staff deserves a mention. Always available, they add a personal touch to your stay, reinforcing the feeling of luxurious comfort. The hotel's shuttle service, operating twice daily, compensates for its somewhat secluded location otherwise it is advisable to have a car driver, their limousine service is quite expensive but it's easy to find hire drivers in Luxor Center. Despite being away from the city center, the seclusion adds to the hotel's charm and unique appeal. One point for improvement is the restaurant's dinner menu. Nonetheless, the overall experience at Al Moudira Hotel is exceptional. Despite its minor culinary shortcoming, the unique ambiance, beautiful setting, and top-notch service make this hotel a standout choice for any traveler visiting Luxor.

Although the food was decent, we felt it could offer more variety or better pricing for dinner, especially considering the generally affordable food options in Egypt and that their pool bar offers more variety. Same for the other additional services offered by the hotel, prices are really high for Egypt. Nonetheless, the overall experience at Al Moudira Hotel is exceptional.

Luxurious property, suites are enormous and well-appointed, I felt like a guest at a royal palace. Dining area is a treat for the eyes and the food is fantastic (which is fortunate since the location is so remote).

Al Moudira is one of the best hotels inthe world. It is visually inspiring. The staff are welcoming, polite, and invariably helpful. Service is impeccable. The accommodation is superb: beds are huge and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and exquisitely furnished. Our suite had separate toilet, bathroom, and external sitting areas. Towels were replaced several times a day, bedding daily. The very good food was varied and plentiful. The gardens, fountains, and pool make for pleasant recreation. There is also a sauna and massage and yoga available for those who want them. Even the shop has unusually beautfiul products on sale at reasonable prices. I give Al Moudira the highest recommendation.

Excellence comes at a steepish price, but it is well worth it.

The staff's warm and welcoming demeanor immediately made me feel at home, it was a remarkable experience that exceeded all expectations. We ordered the traditional breakfast with hot tea which was exquisite. What truly set Al Moudira apart was the impeccable service, it was consistently outstanding. Five start dining, stay, and service! Will definitely go back.

I only knew about this place by accident, there needs to be more advertising, its such a great place I would love to see more done to get the word out. I will do my part!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff so polite and friendly, especially the reception staff. Due to the location it was so quiet and peaceful which was refreshing after a day of trekking around the city. The room was enormous and was a perfect place to relax when it was too hot outside. The pool was beautiful with ample sunbeds and friendly staff. When our taxi didn't show up to take us to the airport the reception staff were immediately on hand to resolve the situation and get us a hotel owned taxi so we could make our flight on time.

The location is a bit further out but all taxi drivers knew where it was so this wasn't too much of an issue. It's worth it for the peace and quiet though!

Surprisingly a lot of locals don’t know about this place! It is truly the definition of a hidden gem because there is nothing impressive about the road there or the entryway from the road, but when you step in, you might as well have been transported to a different place! This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Every detail in the design is intentional and stunning! It is an oasis in a desert with palm trees, green plants and colorful flowers everywhere! As well as water fountains along the walk ways. The receptionist greeted me with a cold towel which I appreciated because it was so hot and offered me a glass of hibiscus juice! This was so refreshing because I had been on the road for hours! Every room here is different and ours was nothing short of a page taken out of the most romantic novel. The beds were so comfortable and the natural toiletries felt good on my skin and smelled so good! I will be back for my honeymoon in 2024! Don’t hesitate to book this magical hotel!

The best hotel we stayed in Egypt. The hotel itself is beautiful throughout the entire enormous property. Breakfast was fantastic and the service was perfect. It seems strange to mention but the wifi was unexpectedly fast as well.

The only major problem was the location. Don't believe Google Maps. It takes much, much, much longer to go to and from the hotel than Google Maps suggests due to potholes and intentional speed bumps in the road, traffic, police checks etc. I think it took at least an hour to get to anywhere (e.g. Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Balloon, etc). One minor improvement that unlike the location, the hotel could consider improving … the only plugs in our room were two pin circular plugs and the reception had run out of adapters suitable for our devices … all other hotels we stayed had a few universal plug sockets. Only really a minor inconvenience but maybe it's a low cost thing the hotel could consider that would make guests stays a little bit more convenient.

from the second you step inside the door you are transported to a new world! this place is magical probably the best kept secret of Egypt it’s a small oasis in the middle of nowhere the perfect place if you are looking for peace quite and luxury the whole place is meticulously decorated each room is unique which makes you wanna visit again to discover new treasures the staff are super friendly and top notch the food is very tasty we were happy that we stayed here after finishing all our to do list in luxor and we just wanted a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings and al moudira was the perfect option

honestly there’s nothing to dislike about this place i might say maybe adding a door to the bath area in the room would be a good option for non couples

Hotel design, rooms, service, pool & gardens are excellent, as also all staff, and breakfasts with the best breads I have ever eaten,The dining room is good, and the limited choice of Egyptian wines well chosen and good value. All rooms are beautifully designed, each one is different, and they’re massive. Service is impeccable, friendly & charming.

It’s half an hour by taxi to Luxor city, tho there is a twice daily shuttle service. The bathroom lighting is woeful. If you stay for five nights you will have exhausted the menu for dinner.
