Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty basic, cereals,toast,pastries,full English,kippers,omelette or porridge. But was okay for a couple of nights stay. Wi-Fi was very good which was free, the location is great for the motorway. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful! You can feel a good sense of team work in the hotel.

Evening meal was poor value for money, the soup was not as described and was stated ‘served with warm bread’ (it was cold and dry!) the soup was Luke warm. The main risotto was good though but not sure if worth£18. The hotel is dated and does need updating, the bed probably a bit too soft but maybe that’s just my preference.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was a bonus as a disabled person. We booked just for the night at half board for £108, yes you read that right !!!! In all honesty, we didn't expect much thinking it would be like one of the many chain type pub fare. When we checked in, we were told we had a £20.00 allowance each and were given the option to eat in the bar or restaurant. We went with the restaurant and were asked if we wanted to book a table, but as it wasn't busy, we could just walk in. We were shown to a very nicely set table with linen napkins and shown the menu. The options weren't huge but included the usual things like fish and chips, steaks, pie and mash etc. We both chose slow braised belly pork with parsnip puree, julienne potatoes, and cider jus. We also added a portion of vegetables. The meals arrived in about 25 minutes, which meant they weren't just microwave special. The meals arrived with broccoli and grean beans, and the extra portion of vegetables had green beans, cauliflower, and baby potatoes. All of the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we both cleaned our plates feeling most satisfied. The bill came to £44.60, including 2 pints of lager and a pint of soft drink!!!!! Breakfast was both a full continental and a cooked to order full English which was very good and excellent value for money. Checkout was for 11am, but reception told us that they weren't busy and if we wanted a later checkout just to let them know 😉. Overall, we couldn't fault our stay. Yes, the rooms weren't fancy, but they were scrupulous, clean, and comfortable. The room was dedicated for wheelchair users, and there was plenty of room around the bed, and the bathroom was a wet room with adaptations and safety rails. Emergency pull cords were in both the bathroom and the bedroom.

Friday 10th Feb pm The person on reception was rude and unpleasant.

On arrival I dropped my wife at the entrance When she entered the reception was less than cordial. My wife is disabled and clearly struggles to walk. When she struggled to the reception was not happy as she was not happy and would not talk to her until she moved round the corner. Rude and unhelpful I would suggest some more appropriate training how to be polite and helpful especially to those disabled and struggling to walk. Not a good advert for the hotel.

Very warm welcome and staff at front desk and at breakfast were all very friendly and pleasant. Room was clean and spacious with good size ensuite. I had a bar snack in the evening which was good quality food. Hotel foyer, public spaces and car park are well maintained and very clean.

Bar staff did not share the same friendly and pleasant demeanor as the front desk and appeared incompetent with the inability to get draught beer working and had to leave guests hanging while the bar staff disappeared to another bar to get the requested beer.

We decided to extend our stay, a different room was going to be allocated due to the hotel being fully booked. Amazingly the reception managed to keep us in out original room saving us having to pack and move. Could not fault the staff at all, so friendly and can not do enough for you. Breakfast was a typical cooked buffet together with cereals, toast, croissants, and fruit amongst other things.

The lady at check in was lovely, couldn't do enough for us. The room was nice, clean and had good amenities. They accommodated our chihuahua without fleecing us. Breakfast the next morning was nice and well worth the £10 they charged for it.

The people in the room next door didn't shut up although when I banged on the wall the quietened down. The mattress must had been comfy once but dipped in the middle, so my partner and I kept rolling into the middle.

Nice quiet hotel only a little way off the M1 but no road noise to be heard. The hotel itself was very large. Plenty of free parking, nice lobby to meet and greet work colleagues. In the room the AC was great. Loads of space and a bath

Found it a bit weird the front door was locked in the morning and you had to phone a mobile to get someone to open. I didn't get an answer but found someone in the back to open up. Card entry on the rooms. Maybe on the main door would also be a good idea

Friendly staff. Good parking. Comfortable.

The bathroom. Needs refreshing. Old fashioned. Shower curtain not effective - too short. Bath tap - not functioning properly - shower on a separate fitting - was effective - once I had worked out how to use it!!! Plastic glasses!!!!!!!!!!!

Breakfast acceptable. Reasonably good choice of food. Hot food could have been hotter. Dinner - very nice food. Slow service. Location - perfect if you want somewhere convenient for the M1. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Spacious room and nice Dove soap etc.

For my personal preference the bed was too soft, but others might find it comfortable.

The breakfast had a good selection of food, either continental or cooked English. The restaurant was clean and spacious and the food was presented very well.The staff were cheerful and helpful. The bedroom was clean as was the spacious bathroom. The staff in the lobby desk were, on arrival friendly and helpful.
