So much to name. Very warm welcome. Offered to park on the drive straight away. Owner stuck a hand written note under my door regarding local shops Incase I was sleeping. Everything you want from a Guest House was top quality. You name it, it was 10 out of 10. The owner is an exceptional artist too. If I’m in this area again, I will definitely contact here as my first port of call. Thank you Paul & Sophie (and Sky) 🥰

I liked everything. The only thing I’ll put here, as a pre warning to anyone reading reviews, is that the owners have a lovely well behaved and friendly dog. I only put this in here Incase you aren’t a dog person. But I don’t consider this a negative for me personally.

This was a beautiful house with a beautiful room, absolutely beautiful bathroom and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, everything you needed was available, excellent file in the room full of information about the area. The hosts were lovely and friendly and offered lots of excellent suggestions where to go to eat and have a drink. The breakfast was gorgeous with plenty of choice and made even better when their dog Sky came in to say hello. Both hosts asked if we were OK with the dog being there as they will take him away if people don't want him there. We would definitely recommend this place to stay and will be more than happy to return. Thank you to you both for making our stay so enjoyable.

There was NOTHING to dislike about it.

The variety of food offered for breakfast was excellent, beautifully cooked and plentiful. The house had recently been refurbished throughout and is immaculate inside and out. Paul and his wife are really friendly without being overbearing. We shall definitely be staying there again when the need arises.

We were unlucky with our parking as it is in the street and we had to walk a little way with our bags when someone else had parked right outside the property. This was only a very minor inconvenience as it was raining the day we left. It did not detract from our very pleasant stay.

The property is looked after and decorated well. It is very clean and in a great location. We went to a family wedding at Cubley Hall and it was only 2 minutes down the road. The hosts couldn’t do enough and the breakfast was delicious the following day! Thank you both very much. The hosts also went above and beyond to help us check in early so that we could attend the wedding on time. Again, thank you!

Lovely location, beautiful house, Paul and Sophie both very friendly, welcoming and helpful! Great breakfast, sparkling clean and the bed was so comfortable! Great night sleep, we have friends that live locally so we will definitely be returning x

Our only concern was being able to come and go from the house and not be an an annoyance to others but the door/floors were so quiet you didn’t feel as though you were disturbing anyone! (hope that was the case!)

Everything about this guest house speaks quality and attention to detail. Love the fact that they request outdoor shoes are removed when entering the hallway, in respect of their beautiful home and accommodation. Paul and Sophie have thought of everything to make your stay so comfortable and relaxing. The mattress is deep and supportive, the linen crisp and fresh. The towels soft and plush. All toiletries provided and free WiFi Excellent quality cooked breakfast with a choice of cold continental too. Loved the mini fridge upstairs on the corridor and a jug to decant fresh milk for the tea and coffee in our room. Paul is also a working artist with a studio in his garden. A lovely touch selling printed cards of his own artwork. He also runs art workshops from his studio too. A very short walk into Penistone for a variety of shops and vibrant bars in the evening. We can highly recommend the Cinnamon Lounge for a curry

Paul and Sophie's house felt like a home from home. Décor was tasteful, rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. I particularly enjoyed Paul's artwork in the dining room. They are such a friendly couple and make you so welcome. We were in the area for a family wedding and Paul and Sophie were very accommodating and let us drop our bags off early and head to the venue. Much appreciated! The fresh milk available for a morning cuppa is such a thoughtful touch. Thank you!

The warm welcome, and the excellent room which was well equipped. The provision of good coffee, tea and fresh milk in the room. The breakfast was delicious with good choices, lovely bread and home made jams. It was within easy reach, both on foot and by car, of good restaurants and shops as well as stunning countryside.

Lovely warm welcome from Paul on arrival, beautiful room and everywhere spotlessy clean. Great breakfast and a good nights sleep. Paul & Sophie are really friendly hosts, nothing was to much trouble and we would definatly stay here again when we are in the area.

Location was perfect - a side road just away from the main little town - hosts were lovely, the accommodation was absolutely amazing, clean, comfy etc. The room had proper personal touches (proper kettle, tea bags milk and sugar etc) Very well kept property and would absolutely recommend to anyone travelling around that area. Hosts were also very accommodating to protect our bikes from the street!
