Room Was fine, clean and bed was very comfortable, pillows were nice and large so we did not have to ask for more. Staff were very helpful. The only problem we had was electrics went off and it took over an hour to rectify, but was done but as we were on a schedule, had to miss breafast.

The only thing that sort of puts pressure on you is the threat that if you get your car number wrong you could be fined, that is the biggest sign in the hotel, some elderly people would be put off by the threats.

Check in was easy, our room was checked by a staff member before we were given the key card. Our room was clean and tidy, the bathroom the same, no issues with towels there were enough and the bed was very comfortable. We were opposite a costa coffee place and we were a bit worried about noise and light pollution but neither was an issue for our overnight stay. We asked for two dinner plates and cutlery and again no issues there. Breakfast was adequate, always difficult keeping bacon etc fresh but it was fine as there was plenty of other choices there.

I would have like a small fridge in the room but as it worked out the gap in between the window and the secondary glazing was cold enough to keep our snacks cool and fresh. Hey you have to adapt.

The room itself was great, the shower while not particularly power worked okay. If I had a gripe it would be the lounge area in the entrance way, it was small and insignificant. Perhaps more and more comfortable would be better.

The aircon in the main reception, bar and breakfast area was set too high. It was too chilly to relax and have a drink and chat, it defeated us and sent us to our room too early. The bar and breakfast room also lacked an atmosphere, it was too clinical, that with the air con setting drove us out on our second night at the hotel.

We have been using this hotel for a few years now and it has recently undergone some changes which have improved it, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is served in a newly refurbed area and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel now provides an evening menu which although basic, means that you can relax and not have to travel out in order to eat.

Shaver socket not working in the bathroom so no way of charging electric toothbrush (forgot the adapter!) They used to have a screen on reception which allowed you to input your car details for the parking but the reception staff now have to do this....worked better with the screen no where to leave your room key on checkout and no one on reception to take it from you....used to have a box for you to leave it in but that appears to have been removed

We had a horrific start to our weekend away the original hotel was something out of a horror movie and thats being polite thankfully there was rooms here within 20 mins of booking the room Jack called and confirm the booking and to ask if there were any special requirements when we arrived Jack H Giani Sam made us very welcome and settled after an awful 😖 beginning we had a beautiful pizza and drinks in the resturant then went to bed. Our rooms were excellent clean and spacious in the morning we were greeted by Jack H and Giani again who despite being run off their feet made sure every guest was sat together with their families and couldnt do enough for us. Sam Nicky & Josh were also amazing a credit to Holiday Inn we will definitely be back and recommending this hotel to everyone thank you so much

We stayed on a Saturday night for an event near by at the Nags Head Pub. The hotel check-in was quick, the room had everything in we needed. The king sized bed was the best part and was such a comfortable sleep. Breakfast the next day was a standard buffet but was just what we needed after a night out and wasn’t too busy. Also right next to the hotel was a McDonald’s, Costa, Subway and a little shop so plenty of options for food and drink before or after a night out. Car park was free to guests after scanning the QR code at reception. Easy to find when driving, staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

Arrived to friendly welcome from the staff. Parking is free and check in easy. The room was spotless, with all amenities. Tea, coffee, iron & board, hair dryer and plenty of room to hang your clothes if needed. The bathroom was clean, bright with a hot shower and fresh towels. There was two single beds which were very comfortable. A decent size flat screen TV and free WiFi with a strong signal. The breakfast was spot on with plenty of choice, evening meals also available and decently stocked bar.

Easy to find (despite satnav sending me across countryside), clean, functional, breakfast included was a bonus!

The heating didn't seem to work, my friend has circulation issues and would like to have been warmer. We had initial issues with the lights until I remembered other stays where you had to put the door card into the slot by the door! (some instructions would have been nice!)

Lack of electrical outlets in the room. No plugs on either side of the bed. Found a USB port in a bedside lamp, but it didn't work. Front desk supplied an extension cord when we advised we needed to plug in a sleep apnea machine. Only one key card given which is required to provide lighting, but awquard when one guest has to leave the room to walk the dog, and the other is in the shower.

Only 2 plugs, one of which was pretty much hanging out of the wall. Poorly lit room Very generic, as chain hotels are, l but to be honest this was exactly as I was expecting
