Staff were very friendly upon arrival and also at breakfast. The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size. The spa facilities were excellent - full suite of what you would expect: sauna, steam room, large jacuzzi, pool and plenty of loungers. The quality of breakfast was to a high standard with a strong variety of cereals, fruits, hot plate and croissants. I didn't try the bar/lounge area but was told they provided similar meals to the restaurant with a more relaxed bar setting. It looked very welcoming - there was a TV showing sports and I would have tried if I hadn't of been going elsewhere into town. All in all I felt the experience was impressive for the price.

My biggest issue was the £50 deposit the staff informed me about on arrival (for damages, but can also be used to spend in the hotel bar/restaurant). I really don't see a need for this - most other hotels of this standard do not require it. I had to spend time at check out getting it back onto my card. I felt sorry for the staff member attempting to justify it to me ("you can spend this behind the bar tonight haha" - despite it being my money of course.) The spa area was very warm, I was sweating without having to go into the sauna. However other than this the area was to a very high standard. The gym had good facilities although not much space. If you can remove the need for a £50 deposit upon arrival, I would have hardly any negative points!

i struggled to sleep on those single beds surely twin 4' beds would be better? theres room if the very old large furniture was updated who needs all those drawers on a hotel visit??? Needs a grab bar to get into bath for shower. Theres still a fume type smell comes thru the air con vent smelt on 2nd day. Very disturbed by noisy guests in adjoining room at 12.30 am til 1pm when night porter sorted it. there was no guest book to find to get help. needs soft close toilet seat and a grap rail to assist as they are quite low.

The thing that makes this a stand out hotel for me is the exceptional service from the whole team, Sinead, Tony (maintenance) Pradeep and Sydney especially made me feel at home and like one of the family. I have a hip injury which has caused me months of discomfort and they have done everything possible to make me comfortable, accommodated requests for specific rooms, let me put my cool packs int he freezer, sorted out the A/C for me - and very sweetly gave me a complimentary drink when the A/C wasn't working as well as it could have. I use this hotel when working in the area and always look forward to it because of the team and the comfort of the rooms with baths in every one of them and really comfy beds.

The breakfast was very good. Great variety and the cooked breakfast although buffet style was all piping hot and cooked just right. Equally there was a good evening choice of menu and the meals were a good portion size. The staff on the front desk and in the restaurant were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant staff were polite and kept the restaurant area very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom exceptionally clean. We book this hotel every year and this year we noticed a much improved quality of service, cleanliness and happy staff.

Check in was a bit of a lengthy process but other than that we had a great stay.

Checking in took ages as they couldn’t locate my full booking. When requesting a pillow from reception it took so long I had to call again, this was at 10pm and I was waiting to go to sleep. Breakfast for myself and my 13 year old cost £33 this seemed so incredibly expensive!!

Having briefly mentioned we were visiting for my husbands bday on arrival we discovered our room had been upgraded to a suite and the staff had left a card a bucket with beers and a voucher for complimentary drinks in the bar. Completely exceeded our expectations and aside from the hotel being particularly hot we couldn't fault a thing. We enjoyed the pool area which was very clean and felt very relaxing. Cast iron restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was lovely both food and service were spot on. Highly recommend. Thank you delta hotels

Air con. Always a chance we just didn't understand how to use it properly to get the best out of it and it was particularly warm out for the time of year.

Hotel was exactly what I expected with a delta Marriott no problems whatsoever. Efficient check in and early which allowed us to get ready for a wedding so very appreciated. Late check out also no problems allowed us to enjoy the spa. They were very accommodating and the staff were very nice.

Only thing I’d say was the breakfast wasn’t in my opinion worth the value. Lacked some quality ingredients like proper orange juice instead of a cheap squash like version. No Honey, no tomatoes. The hot breakfast itself was good just needed a few more varieties and better quality drinks.

Can honestly say I have had a really nice time for 4 days at the Marriott in Peterborough. Waking up for a swim, steam & sauna every day was a joy, no need to take anything with me all shampoos, towels etc were all there and complimentary. The rooms were clean, looked after and the cleaners done a cracking job. The hotel was genuinely the best part of my stay (except seeing my fabulous friends) and a big shout out to the beautiful, wonderfully happy and kind sinead on reception who just topped my stay off. - what an asset to the hotel she is. Thankyou Marriott (and the gorgeous scent “delta Marriott” is one I’ll be looking for when I get home.)

Staff very friendly and helpful. Good parking, rooms comfortable. Problem with air conditioning in one room resolved quickly and without issue. Evening main meals very good and choice at breakfast also good.

Air conditioning too cold in one room and too warm in another. No desserts from the restaurant menu available other than ice cream, which was very disappointing from a big hotel chain. Hot breakfast foods looked like they had been out for ages and therefore unappealing.
