In short, the accomodation was execellent in all aspects. Just some outstanding features to mention: - the room was perfectly tidied every day - for breakfasts we could choose from a wide range of Nordic and Russian-style options (marinated fish, eggs, buckwheat kasha etc.) - the hotel is located in convenient walking distance to every tourist attracion in the old town, the main railway station and even to Tallinn Port Terminal A (cca. 15 minutes to the port from where ferrys depart to Helsinki) - compared to other accomodations in town, it is the best value for money

We didn't encounter anything about the accomodation that I could consider negative.

The sconce on the piano. Tge candle holders i thjnk when its cold they are close to warm tge face but in summer left wider.

I feel the owner has too nany rooms..! Okay its full peak season but rooms could be bigger most of the year..its same all over thd world..nany hotels never fill up completly..maybe im wrong..it just felt at sometime someone wanted as many rooms as possible . I liked hotel cuz its quirky and the mirrord are fun , also it had a feeling of space even when busy. I liked the breakfast room . I think maybe yoj could make some rooms double size ..the location is far better than hilton..radisson .. u could also do school art competition ..easter treaure hunt..place is so fun.i use to love hoteks whwn i was a kid. Running everywhere! If u need a judge for the art i can help .

Perfect location in a picturesque corner of the city center, a 10-12 minute walk from the main RR station (Baltic), reasonably large, very inexpensive room, excellent value for the money, beautiful and genuine interior with good paintings, other art collector's items and truly gorgeous furniture, exceptionally good breakfast with specials including herring, super tasty, fresh cottage cheese with raspberry jam, beet salad, etc. plus the usual food and drinks, all self-served in two spacious rooms adjacent to each other on the 2nd floor, exceedingly friendly staff with impecable manners, fluent in at least English, Russian and Estonian, all fixtures in good working condition, quite clean.

The only thing we really missed was an elevator, which lack was to be expected in a historic building.

I was very pleased and grateful to the receptionist being on duty 24-25.08. He was so helpful in finding solution of my problem (my child has fallen ill during the trip), and kindly assisted me in my mothertongue (Russian). I am very grateful and appreciate it so much! Finally we reached our destination point thanks to his professional help. I also thank the restaurant staff who allowed me to take some food for my unhealthy child. That was nice of them. I will definitely recommend this place for its professoinal attitude.

I could have missed a lift in case i would live some of higher floors (it's an old building without such a facility), but i happily spent a night on the ground floor, so, me and my heavy bags were not suffering. Just keep it in mind when booking.

Location is just perfect, in the heart of old town, very beautiful and quiet place. The building of the hotel is like a museum, nice small corridors, pictures, rims in old style. Strongly recommended to be visited.

The breakfast stuff was very sad and unhappy. Seems they hate their job and people who come to eat. The customer care behavior is really inappropriate: no greeting; they are rushing to get food for themselves leaving the other guests behind; they answer in Russian although you talk to them English, collecting dishes from the table is also worth to see process. Non of the stuff has smiled at any point.

We were extremely lucky with our room. Upon arrival, we found that there is a nightclub directly adjacent to the hotel. The nightclub was open until 5 am when we stayed over the weekend. We were in another wing further away from the nightclub but could still hear the bass in our room. I would not like to imagine what the night would have been like if we would have been in a room closer to the nightclub. Reading through the reviews of guests staying closer to the nightclub, it is clear that it was not possible to sleep with that noise. We were lucky... But messing with a traveler's sleep doesn't seem fair.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff gave us a free upgrade and we loved our room. Everything in the room worked well. It was clean.

You could very easily hear sounds from other rooms. The breakfast was nothing special and offered odd choices such ass stew and boiled potatoes which are not really breakfast foods? The staff could have been friendlier, especially at check out we weren't even asked if we enjoyed our stay. The person just took the keys and didn't stay anything, eventually gesturing that I should leave. I am a receptionist myself, so I found the behavior especially odd. Booking the stay was not easy either, as no one would pick up the phone on multiple tries and eventually when they did, we just got told that booking was not possible via phone. The email we sent took a long time to get a reply.

Big hotel, about to be a "labyrinth", where it wasn't so easy to find one's room. Quality/Price rate is exceptional. The structure is located in the Historical Center of Tallinn. Breakfast buffet excellent. Highly recommended.

Some services should be improved. For example , the tenth of the shower is too short, and so, when one showers, the bath floods. Wifi is too weak. And sometimes it doesn't work. Nevertheless, the quality/price rate is exceptional. So, these ones are just details. Maybe one would need a lift... But maybe this is the hotel's charm.

I had a good experience staying at this hotel. I arrived after midnight and there was someone to check me in. As mentioned there is no lift and the floor creaks but that is the nature of a building that is like 500 years old and is also the reason why lifts are not feasible. I liked the quirky maze of the hotel as it added to its character. For a "stone" room, it was surprisingly well heated (my heater was on) and though you could hear some noise from the club outside it was nowhere near disturbing and I fell asleep just fine during my stay. For any solo travellers who are female, the area is very well lit (Tallinn was in general) and I did not feel unsafe going to the 24hr cornershop at 130am in the morning (not long after I had arrived). I would return to this hotel as it is so central (less than 5 mins from town hall square) and the area itself was really nice and safe

Not that I didnt like it but an improvement could be to maybe have a charger closer to the bed. There was one at the bottom of the bed which meant it was a bit of a struggle to charge your phone AND watch it in bed.

The location of the hotel is central in Old Town. The check-in was fast, I had a room on 3. floor. The hotel is a maze, a lot of corners and stairs, I loved it. The room itself was large like the king-size bed and the shower was spacious. Hot water with a good pressure, hairdryer ecc. available. A slight sewage smell which did not disturb me. I did not mind the creaking floors everywhere, a charming detail in an old building. The bed was more than good as well as the temperature, I had a good sleep. There was a balcony in the room facing to the inner courtyard but the doors did not open, it seemed the balcony was not in use. No air conditioning available in the room (all rooms), I believe the rooms are hot in summer, other seasons maybe better. The breakfast was varied and filling, especially the porridge was delicious. The coffee machine was slow and the coffee could have been better. I was pleasantly surprised when I came here and I definitely could come back to this hotel! I do not recommend it for people with bad feet or those who strive for perfection.

If the room description says there is a fridge, then it should work. This was though no problem for me. All the rest for me worked well.
