Entertainment was brilliant. Hospitality and friendliness were exceptional. Management from Norman is brilliant. Food and drinks were very good although a bit on the expensive side.

Being away from the more publicised holiday sites in Fiji, I was unsure if the location would be too remote for our family. On the contrary, we had a fantastic time, and while we travelled south for day trips, we didn't feel that we had missed out on anything, be it beautiful sunrise and sunsets, beach access, or quality of resort with our choice. First Landing is a peaceful resort with all a family needs for a holiday, run by a friendly team of staff who treated us all like family. There are plenty of water-based activities - swimming and snorkeling, kayaks available at no charge, and fishing. We caught a fish from the wharf, and the chef cooked it for our evening meal! A vow renewal service was also organised for us, set in a beautiful location. There are a number of events on throughout the week, including a fire show on the weekends! I'd highly recommend First Landing to others. *we found a rental car was handy, as we went to the mud pools, and water park, and took a few short drives throughout our stay to purchase the most delicious pineapples, watermelons and Bananas.

It was hard to leave, and loved the song after dinner on our final night.

We arrived home yesterday from our 5 day holiday to First Landing Resort. I have travelled to many places throughout the world, but I have never experienced a holiday like this. Not only is the resort a serene oasis, but it is surrounded by beautiful, manicured gardens and water views that stretch for miles. Food is varied and impeccable. But what made this holiday as wonderful as it was were the staff. Throughout our stay, we greeted by name wherever we went. The staff were so kind and happy and genuinely treated us like family. As we left, they came and hugged us and reminded us that we are now new members of their very large family. We left with tears in our eyes as we have never ever experienced such gentleness, kindness, happiness, and humility.. This was the perfect holiday for body and soul. YOU MUST GO TO FIRST LANDING RESORT.

We booked two beachfront villas, and two ocean view bures to celebrate a 50th birthday that was beautifully arranged with Fijian decorations and a feast of local and international dishes. We also had a surprise anniversary celebration, and the resort catered a romantic dinner under the stars, complete with French wine, elegant desserts, and the soothing sound of waves. The team’s attention to detail made both events truly special. In between celebrations, we indulged in resort activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and cultural nights featuring traditional Fijian music and dance. Every moment felt like a celebration of life and love. The Duty Manager, Norman is a gem. He went above and beyond to make our celebrations and stay a memorable one! And not forgetting the ever-helpful staff. Vinaka. we will return soon.

The staff were wonderful. All of them. Always a happy smile, courteous and helpful. The sunsets were spectacular and the entertainment was fabulous.

The rooms are dark. The tea and coffee are very weak, I ended up taking some English breakfast from the dining room so I could enjoy a proper cup of tea back in the room. I had to have 3 bags of coffee for it to taste like coffee. I know I was getting a free breakfast but the eggs were so well cooked there was no yoke to spread on the bread. The dinners were ok but I ended up eating the chefs salad as it was the only thing that was tasty.

We booked the beachfront two bedroom bure with private pool for 2 nights. It was nice and was clean. Beds comfy. 2nd Bedroom could have been bigger with the 2 singles, but it was great they had own bathroom. Having own laundry was great. We spent most of the time on the deck / in the pool lounging, which was lovely after the busy prior days. Service was good and there was a very good variety of items on the restaurant menu. Food / drinks were expensive as expected with the location, except a few of the bar snack items which were very reasonable. It was good that they have their own taxi services for convenience due to location...

We ended up in a Bure that didn't have direct beach (although waterfront view clearly) versus the ones a few doors down, so that was a bit disappointing. HOWEVER, we could easily walk there in a minute or two. It just wasn't quite what I expected. The Continental breakfast was only breads/pastry, yogurt and fruit, so disappointing for the price. The resort is a long ways out. We didn't have a car, so didn't make use of the kitchenette. We took a cab to the nearby marina for two meals which was great food & service - little bit better pricing.

First Landing Resort was our first stop when we landed in Fiji. It was a very convenient taxi ride from Nadi Airport and we were able to drop our bags and use the amenities right away until our room was ready. The bure was a garden bure with ocean views and it didn't disappoint. It was large, clean and spacious, and with AC. There was a kids club that had loads of options if our kids wanted to tap in and tap out throughout the day (necklace making, ice cream eating contest, movie night, etc). The staff were all really helpful and very nice. The sunsets were amazing and the beach is gorgeous. We did a day trip to Laukota to buy sulus and kava root for our following village stays and one of the staff, Meri, met us at the market before her shift to help us find what we needed. She was lovely and went above and beyond for us! We also day tripped to the Sabeto mud baths, which was a fun excursion for the family.

I would note that this whole western coast of Viti Levu is cut back mangrove forests, so you're not swimming out into coral reefs here, nor is the ocean floor sand for miles. We still were in the ocean everyday, but your options of where to swim or kayak are limited, especially as the tide goes out.

Breakfasts were great .lunch & dinners were also great with lovely staff .Very peaceful setting .Entertainment was also wonderful. The room was really comfortable & loved the private verandahs with screening to keep mosquitos out . Loved the welcome spelled out with palm leaves & the hibiscus on the bed .

Little things - We couldn’t find the activities board ,so didn’t know what was available etc so maybe more information could have been put up in a more obvious place . Went to hire a canoe but the shed was unattended & no time given for when it would be open etc .

Our 3-bedroom unit was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed having our own pool. The grounds in the resort are great, and the staff are very friendly, polite and willing to help at any time. The evening meals we had at the resort were great, and the entertainment was wonderful. We loved having a drink, watching the sun go down, then having our meal under the twinkling lights.

The resort is a bit isolated, but taxis and vans are available to be booked for any excursions. Along with the positives of our 3-bedroom unit, we missed having an oven. Also, our bed was quite hard. The unit needs to be given a refresh, e.g., a new kitchen, and more kitchen implements, and pots and pans need to be provided.

Great stay as always, very good breakfast. Staff are excellent. Loved the singers at the bar. Was there for a cyclone passing but went well. No complaints at all really. Food at the bar is not overly expensive.

Not a criticism of this hotel but hotels in general in Fiji have an obsession with playing really crappy American C&W music and not their own lovely songs.
