Loved the vibe, and the decor . Love the modern rustic approach. Felt like I was in a very upscale man or woman cave .

The ac didn’t go past 21 Celsius, it was very hot at night .

Very nice and atmospheric hotel with soundproof rooms, you won't hear anything! Staff were very friendly! Room was big with 2 single beds of at least 110 cm wide. Good working airconditioning. Floor heating in bathroom. Lightning plan of the room was really nice. Blackout curtains! Very big streaming television which worked perfectly. Kettle in the room with bags of tea, honey and sugar, even lactose free milk. Breakfast was excellent with salmon, all kind of eggs, fresh bread, different hams and cheeses and much more! .

Windows in room couldn't be opened, so no fresh air. Cabinet door of the little refrigerator could not be closed. Mattresses were very hard.

We did the booking through an app and the receptionist right away told us we did not choose the best room. She suggested a different one with a better view and we were happy about that. Overall the staff is very nice. The breakfast was delicious, with a lot of things to chose from! We also really liked the location of the hotel.

The beds and pillows are extremely soft. Another thing - that might be just me assuming things since it was my first time in Finland. I love sauna and was excited to go during our stay. I then found out it is reservation only and costs 75€ per hour. I honestly think this is a stretch since the hotel is not cheap in the first place. I was disappointed about that.

The <<Hotel Mestari>> is very well located: Really close to the City Center of Helsinki, next to several tram and bus stations as well as a shopping mall, different shops and really good restaurants. Hence it's really easy to get to many sights and nice places [even on foot], also to nearby cities and national parks &c. [by tram / bus]. Besides that the hotel is really nice / 'stylish' and well equipped (restaurant, gym, box spring beds). To sum it up: I can strongly recommend this hotel!

In general we liked nearly* everything! *Apart of the fact that the hotel is relatively expensive [probably as expensive as other hotels of that quality / located in the middle of Helsinki] the breakfast was not as good as expected / not as good as the breakfast of the two hotels we have visited before (in Riga and Talinn) - but still good!

The location. The bathroom was well appointed. The breakfast was very good with lots of vegan options. Quiet room.

Air conditioning in room couldn’t be switched below 21c and staff told us they couldn’t make it lower, so we were too hot at night. There were two sets of curtains in our room but they weren’t blackout, so the sunlight was very visible and both kept us awake and woke us up early, not ideal when it’s only really dark between 23:00-04:00 in July. I’d suggest packing an eye mask if you’re sensitive to this, which we unfortunately didn’t have with us. Our room was very small and the low ceilings made it feel even smaller. I had noted at time of booking it said 20m2 but I’m certain it was smaller. I had a look at the fire floorplan and saw inside some other rooms from the corridor when they were being cleaned and saw they were larger - we may have just had a particularly small room?

Hotel Mestari has met all expectations. It fits the style of Finland. Not over the top, but efficient, everything works perfectly. Check in, check out, very good breakfast and great location. All highlights are within walking distance. In addition, the city has an excellent public transport system. Buses, streetcars, and electric bicycles and scooters can be found on every street corner that can be rented cheaply. The rooms are clean, cleaned on time. The staff is open, friendly and helpful, but actually there was little to ask. Everything shows itself. We found the diversity of restaurants striking, especially Asian cuisine is well represented in Helsinki. Hotel Mestari is highly recommended for those who want to see everything in this fascinating city in three or four days.

Great location in the city center - a short walk away from the Central Station and the Esplanade, Kamppi metro/tram station is just around the corner (2 min of walking). Lots of bars, restaurants and stores in the closest area. Very comfortable rooms and beds (mattresses a little on the softer side), toiletries, water kettle, coffee and tea all in the room. Flat screen TV with cable channels also included. WiFi working well. Breakfast served downstairs was rich and tasty. Front desk and other staff helpful and polite. Nice little smoking balcony on Floor 6. Fitness room downstairs can be accessed by guests free of charge. We had a great stay and our expectations were fully met. Don't hesitate to book with Hotel Mestari, it is recommended to all travelers!

The hotel is new and has a contemporary chic design. I loved the cutlery(especially the plates) during our breakfast. This hotel is close to the central station and there are many restaurants/bars/cafes nearby(there is a cat cafe very close to the hotel for cat lovers).

Our room was hidden behind another door meaning we had to open/close two doors which were very heavy. (Perhaps because Helsinki is a cold city) There is a lot of empty space in the toilet/shower area which could have been used in the living room but this is about design and should not be an issue, especially for single travelers.

This place was really nice. The location is incredibly central, the staff are super friendly, the room was very clean with complimentary toiletry products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, etc) plus good water pressure in the shower. There was also a nice modern coffee machine with silicone travel cups and a stocked mini bar. The bed was comfy and there is a full length mirror. The gym is complimentary and conveniently open 24 hours. There’s a good coffee shop at reception and a full bar. The breakfast selection is massive with a huge variety of healthy and not so healthy options. The check out time is 12pm which was very helpful. You can do the whole check-in / check-out process using the Aero Guest app to save waiting in the que. Also we found Helsinki to be weirdly crazy expensive so this hotel is a pretty good value considering. Overall we were pretty impressed and would definitely recommend.

The gym rules were a bit bizarre. They don’t let you bring your own water or any drinks and there’s a sign at the entrance saying indoor shoes only and that if you have outdoor shoes you must remove them and go barefoot. Luckily mine were brand new but if they weren’t there’s no way I’d have taken them off and then used the gym barefoot!?

Everything was really great. Frendly stuff provided useful information. Room was clean, comfortable bed, additional pillows and kettle was in the room. Nice surprise is that we were provided with additional thing that we needed before we asked for that. Stilish interior. Delicious breakfast with wide selection of options, availiable gluten free and lactose free options. Nice lounge zones. Location was good for us.

We were glad to stay there. Small things that i can mention is that air conditioner do not go lower 21 degree which can be a bit too much for summer time. It is useful to get to know from the beginning that to use elevator you need your room card. Espresso is not included in the breakfast, but it is availiable to buy at the bar.
