We loved everything about Le Poisson Ivre. The staff is extremely professional, the room was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the port. Our room was well-appointed and was spotless. We received an excellent breakfast of croissant, rolls, and yoghurt in the morning. We loved this hotel and its village. We look forward to a future visit. We give it our highest recommendation.

In our particular room, when the sliding bathroom door was closed, a large gap remained, making the person sitting on the toilet feel a bit exposed. A bit of adhesive weather stripping would solve this problem. It is minor.

Great welcome from all staff. Lovely old building with lots of character. Food was amazing, so good we ate there both nights of our stay. We ate dinner in the garden courtyard which was lovely. Breakfast simple but perfect for us. Great bread and jams, good coffee, delicious orange juice. We ate outside at the front watching the world go by; people, cars, boats, tourist train and even hot air balloons. Bedroom spacious, spotlessly clean and comfy. Great location for exploring the beautiful town of Dinan

Very little to worry about. The bathroom was ok but could do with updating.

Wonderful location on the river; rooms had a view. Delicious dinner at the inn. Owner and staff were great. The half-timbered inn is incredibly charming and makes up in charm what it lacks in comfort. It’s walkable — albeit steep — to the old city of Dinan.

Scary narrow winding stairs— don’t bring big suitcases here. No parking; it’s on the street where you can find something; our spot was a half-mile away. Tiny bathroom with no place for towels or toiletries. But it is a very old building.

the location at the port was excellent . the town of Dian is beautiful, but sadly we were there on a Sunday, so the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed for dinner but breakfast was lovely. the staff was very helpful and friendly and let us leave our luggage until our room was ready . it was a perfect location if you want to be at the port and had free parking close by .

the location was excellent at the port but it’s a steep long uphill walk to the town( unfortunately we were there on a Sunday when most every store was closed. )

We arrived a day the hotel was closed. There is a system of key lock to get the keys to got o your room that was all good but I didn’t look into the booking email and phoned them instead. The person on the phone was clearly annoyed, but I thought even if it was their day off they should understand that not everyone is checking the mess rages on booking. If I had received a text on the morning of the booking I would have noticed.

Well located on the Port with great views of everything going on outside. The accommodation was creative in an old building, but well done - though mind your head if you're in the attic and have a steady foot on the steep stairs. We loved the outdoor eating area and the hotel was quaint and full of character. Breakfast was good with delicious fresh croissants and bread

It was exceptionally hot weather and we had to keep the windows open. Because the port is busy and the accommodation is above an eating area it was inevitably noisy. Perhaps investing in a cool fan for the rooms during these periods would be helpful so that the windows can be closed. Street noise stopped after midnight and started again just before 6am.

Nice location, a good bed and a great attention to the bedroom decoration.

The breakfast was disappointing. We wanted to pay for scrambled eggs or for a ham & cheese plate however, the answer was "this is a French breakfast and that's all you can get!"... My advice to the staff: travel through France to discover that fortunately most of accommodations have meanwhile adopted a more European breakfast style!

We had a nice room facing the little harbor. We loved the attention to the details and the fact that the room was sparkling. The area is quiet and calm at night and vibrant during the day. We have also enjoyed the delicious breakfast. the staff was friendly.

We really loved this place.

This was our final night in France and what a wonderful place to end our Brittany road trip. The room was beautifully appointed looking straight onto the River Rance. I was a bit worried that we were directly above the restaurant but it was absolutely fine. All the staff were very friendly and even though breakfast wasn't until 8am they ensured we could have an early one in order to shoot off to catch our ferry. We also ate our evening meal there (make sure you book!) which was delicious! We would love to return and stay a while longer.

This is a lovely property which has been really thoughtfully designed - I loved my room looking over the river - it was lovely and I wish I could have stayed longer! The hotel offers meals and breakfast which you can enjoy overlooking the river.

It was not an issue for me but people need to be aware the stairs in the hotel are very steep- quirky but perhaps an issue for some.
