Lovely room with good storage and pleasant, private terrace with table and two chairs, overlooking swimming pool. Buffet breakfast was excellent with good choice of foods, including lovely breads, pastries, croissants as well as cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and juices,bacon, scambled egg etc.

More parasols at poolside. Admittedly we didn't ask for them so there may have been many more available and as the weather was very hot, and not windy, it was a shame they weren't put out to give shelter. There is no longer a restaurant for evening meals (we had been to the hotel twice before when it was not owned by Mercure. There are plenty of places to eat in the delightful "Port" area, within two minutes walk, and more in the town, so it is not a problem.

Nicely designed room with a larger bathroom ( without a bath) which we preferred. Sheltered terrace near the pool. Great sound and light proofing. Breakfast was superb, both in choice and quality. Really great terrace where you could enjoy a drink overlooking the canal. It’s so close to the medieval old centre of Dinan which is the backdrop to this hotel.

No comfortable chairs in the room. Just one hard chair at the desk. I feel couples are always penalised by most hotels - only one gets a comfy chair ( and sometimes not even that) whilst the other has to stuff pillows behind their backs to sit up on the bed. Not great. Bar meals were limited and nothing local or French on the menu. Shame.

Perfect location down in the port. Excellent parking behind the hotel. Hotel restaurant not open on Monday night but that was not a problem as plenty of options to eat 5 minutes walk away. Good sized room. Good aircon. Nice large shower.

One English Breakfast teabag was not enough for two people! Cardboard cups good for the environment but not good for tea or coffee. Water not available in the room. It was available down the corridor in a chilled dispenser which is a good idea, but a notice to that effect in the room would have been helpful.

We love the location of this welcoming hotel right down in the port with restaurants and bars just a few steps away - although we do enjoy an apéro in the hotel’s comfy bar too. It’s about a 15 minute walk up a cobbled hill to the main town so good shoes are a must! Staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Rooms are airy and comfortable, many with balcony or terrace and the breakfast is delicious - although I confess I really missed the raspberry and pistachio croissants! Please bring them back as they were a real signature item to crown a great stay!

What a super place to stay! From the moment we were checked in by the wonderfully friendly and welcoming receptionist, to the moment we were checked out by the same lovely lady, we had the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious with a balcony and the bed was big and very comfy. We enjoyed a relaxing drink in the bar before heading out to dinner to find a delightful variety of eateries on both sides of the river. A beautiful area both by day and night. Everything is within easy walking distance and we were very happy with the on-site parking. Breakfast was delicious with local fare including scrumptious baby croissants with pistachio and raspberry filling. We really appreciated our stay and look forward to a return visit. Thank you!

We love visiting this comfortable hotel, which is beautifully situated on the banks of the river in the port of Dinan. Just a few (very uphill) minutes’ walk to the town and with plenty of bars and restaurants within a short stroll, the location is just perfect. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the free parking is a real bonus. The breakfast is generous and tasty - especially the croissants filled with raspberry and pistachio! Quiet, with airy rooms, comfy beds, squeaky clean, modern bathrooms, this hotel is a real favourite.

It almost feels cheating staying in a modern hotel, overlooking a medieval port. But we loved it, lots of easy parking at the back of the hotel, lovely inside, room was perfect overlooking an outside pool. Staff were welcoming and friendly, could not fault the room or hotel beyond the fact no restaurant on Sunday, It's location is perfect, 2 minute walk and you're in the heart of the restaurants and bars in the port area, a short (but hard) walk up the main road into Dinan itself and you're in the historic parts. I'm certain we'll visit Dinan again, and this will certainly be the hotel to choose again as I didn't see anywhere more perfectly suited for a traveller with a car.

No restaurant - on a Sunday at least, this is very typical in France anyway and we expected it. Thankfully in season (June) there was plenty of choice on the river and beyond.

Stayed many times before, always excellent, good choices at breakfast (albeit this time bread bit hard) . Unfortunately, no evening meal now offered, except prepared cold food, which is good and everything else perfect. Staff brilliant, go above and beyond. Facilities fabulous.

The setting by the river with views up to Dinan. All the local restaurants nearby. The hotel grounds with swimming pool.

The smell of drains in the bathroom. Apparently it happens every time it rains, but only in Room 22. We were told they cannot do anything about it as the problem is in the sewers outside the property. Fortunately it was mainly apparent in the late afternoon or evening and was partly manageable by keeping the bathroom door shut. We were offered a change of room but decided to stick it out as we had an outside corner decking area.

perfect location and good facilities, inc jacuzzi and pool in Dinan Port. next to Rance canal- lots of eating places. Dinan is a beautiful medieval town. varied choice for breakfast. comfortable bed and spacious bathroom
