A slightly faded but really old-style grand French Hotel with loads of character and (for me at least) charm. Staff helpful, parking onsite a massive plus. And perfect location just on the edge of the Old Town so walking into town restaurants etc. I'd recommend it but it is quirky.

So the rooms are a little stuffy and "old fashioned" but I think that lends it a grand charm. If you are looking for something authentically French I don't think you can go wrong here.

It was very close to the railway station. We got very clear instructions on how to access the hotel and our room as we arrived after reception had closed. The room was very quiet and the bed comfortable.

A small and subjective point: the room felt a bit dowdy and gloomy. It was very clean and all the facilities were in place, but could benefit from a lighter brighter colour scheme.

After reading some reviews by disappointed customers we were delighted to find that this beautiful old French stone house was not at all as it had been described. The "receptionist" was extremely helpful and explained the in and outs of parking and local restaurants. The public rooms are furnished with lovely furnishings appropriate to the grace of the building . The floors upstairs are laid with new jonc de mer (hessian) and the walls are tastefully painted with some quasi period paintings. Our room was fair sized, clean and well fitted out - aircon and fridge worked well. the bathroom was compact but you need to be slim to use our very clean shower. This is not a modern, characterless chain hotel but a lovingly restored 1752 french manoire full of charm and character (and the odd spider, no doubt) and right in the middle of town. We loved it and will chose it over a characterless modern hotel any time.

Everything was good, no complaints. Value for money was good. The room was on the small side for two men but the price was excellent.

The location is conveniently close to the train station. It feel a bit charmingly outdated. Friendly staff

The furniture is a bit too old and basic, the breakfast could be a bit more fresh and diverse… this hotel feels a bit stuck in the past. A bit too expensive for what it offers.

Lovely traditional style hotel, a stones throw from the town centre and various restaurants, shops and historic sites. Building itself is very attractive and room was comfortable.

The wifi really wasn't working, a pity otherwise this place would be perfect.

Fantastic location, in town centre and also 3 minutes walk to bus / train station with easy access to Bordeaux, Bergerac and St. Emillion. Very good breakfast , courtyard so car parking available and seating in courtyard to enjoy your won morning coffee or evening drinks
