November 2021

As a woman travelling solo, though very familiar with Paris, this was my first trip anywhere since Feb 2020 and I found this hotel very welcoming. It is not luxurious, but very neat, there was always someone at front desk, friendly atmosphere. Entrance is at an angle of 2 very quiet and charming streets. Pierre Bayle BTW was an important Protestant philosopher and leading advocate of toleration so spare a thought when going up the tiny street named after him. Probably the most important is that you will be in a typical Parisian neighbourhood far from the tourist trails but with excellent public transport, supermarkets, late night corner groceries, great boulangerie across the street, little 'quartier' cafés and bars. You get your own key and come in and out as you please. Investigate the bus network, very good for museums; métro is a small station and 2 minutes from hotel, you'll be at Nation in 5 minutes. You will be less than 10 min from the buzzing Rue de la Roquette and Place Voltaire, apart from the obvious, a stone's throw from the Père Lachaise. Walkers can be at Bastille in about 30 minutes. I was lucky, staff kindly accommodated my request and give me a 5th floor room, very bright even though northwest facing: not everyone may be so lucky during busy times, so I won't post a photo.

I would have liked a toaster in the kitchenette. The symbols were worn out on the microwave and I had to download a manual to get used to it; but these were minor issues and overall my studio was very cosy. I was told the heating is on a sensor system: when you are not there, or not moving around, it goes down. So when you get up out of bed the room seems cold, but it heats up quickly. Personally I found the heating a bit too high, as the weather got mild, and it didn't seem adjustable.

I loved it that the place was very close to the Philippe August metro station. Loved that coffee is available until 9pm. Daily breakfast is enough to get by. The place was squeaky clean upon arrival. Kitchen facilities are also available in the room. Drinking water is available 24/7.

The only part I didn't like was that there was no daily cleaning. In fact, our unit was not cleaned for the entire 3-night stay. Cleaning every 2 days would have sufficed.

Definitely recommend! Very clean and ergonomic. The personnel is extremely friendly and polite.

The floor was constantly and extremely cold, but probably it's not a big problem if to have slippers.:) Was a bit surprised that no salt, pepper, oil and stuff like that is available (usually it is there in similar apartments). Though, the personnel was so kind and gave us a sachet of salt immediately once we've asked.

Whilst not a luxury hotel, the location was excellent, close to public transport with lots of food options close by plus right next to Pere Lachaise Cemetery. Breakfast option was available and free coffee after lunch, plus there was water in the lobby to drink and refill. The room was big by Paris standards, overall an excellent choice.

We found the toiletries lacking, no hand soap only body wash in the shower.

The apartment is extremely close to a metro station which made exploring Paris very easy for us as you can get around the whole of Paris via the train. We also enjoyed the graveyard being so close to us and having a view over one of the famous sights in Paris. The wifi was good and we managed to take international meetings from the hotel. We had a guest sleeping on the sleeper couch and it was very easy to assemble and disassemble. There was also free coffee from 12 - 9pm. Would definitely recommend it for the price.

The kitchen was a little bit smaller than we anticipated.

The room was big, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils, that surprisingly became useful as our kid got sick and we had to spend 2 entire days in the hotel room. There was always someone on reception. The room had also an atmospheric view to the historic cemetery. However, it can be listed in the cons if you are afraid of ghosts :)

There were problems with clogged pipes in the bathroom.

The rooms were as photographed, clean and spacious for a Parisian budget hotel. The location was quiet, local and very close to a metro entrance. There were lots of bakeries, restaurants and other resources nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful, printed off documents I needed for travel. The kitchen area was well stocked with appliances and dishware.

The lights in the room didn't work well. They flickered a lot, and the bathroom light especially had issues turning on at all.

Good sized clean room with everything I needed. The wifii was really fast and the roon was nice and warm in January. I really liked the location and proximity to the metro.

Everything worked really well for me as a solo traveller but the sliding bathroom door was a bit noisy and if I was sharing the room with someone it, would have definitely woken them up in the middle of the night if I needed to use the bathroom.

The hotel is a very convenient option for tourists. There are multiple metro stations on different lines and also a bus stop. For an additional fee you can rent a parking lot. We had a separate bathroom and kitchen with all necessary supplies, which is incredible for this price. The room was very clean and quiet at night. We would gladly stay here again.
