I liked that we were given the opportunity to choose the floor to stay. we were very pleased to have a shower and toilet in the room 26, as well as a microwave, fridge and kettle. we didn't expect the room to have all these amenities.

It's a shame that there was a lot of mold in the shower. also the drain in the sink was clogged, making it difficult for water to flow through. and when we first checked in, the room was a little dusty. There were also not enough hooks for clothes and towels in the room. I really hope that these shortcomings will be corrected, because we would like to continue to stay at this hotel and will recommend it to others

Very clean and heated room. Good bedding. I booked a room with a private bathroom and it was great, very clean and the shower was of good quality. The location is the best part, considering the amount we paid, as the metro station was just 3 minutes away, so it made our trip a lot easier. I was apprehensive about booking given the series of negative reviews here, but I was surprised, the room was really good. For those who criticize shared bathrooms, I suggest you pay for the room with a private bathroom, that way you won't have any stress. I recommend this hotel for those just looking for a place to sleep, it doesn't have luxuries, but it provided exactly what we needed. Thank you Hotel Richard, you made our stay in Paris perfect!

The bathroom shower door was practically entirely made of glass, not giving much privacy for taking a shower. We suggest closing it completely.

I travelled alone for two nights and loved my stay, the receptionist was so kind, the location is super practical, and the room was better than expected, I thought it wouldn't have a shower but it did! Also the fridge, microwave and kettle trio was super (more than most places I've stayed in actually), definitely recommend !

The only downside was that the room was a bit hot (I went in the heatwave though) and the stairs looked a bit precarious but other than that it was definitely worth it.

I booked a room with own shower and toilet, it was small but clean and renovated recently - it felt nice to be there. I chose it for its location, metro Voltaire 100 m away and Bastille within walking distance. Shops, cafes, restaurants - all close by. Definitely recommend for those who come to visit Paris and will spend their days outside anyway :)

I would have preferred normal blankets instead of the thin blanket that was available, but it was ok too. Next time I will bring my sleeping bag ;)

The hotel is very basic but is very close to the subway and bus stations and had a lot of shops, bakeris and coffes and restaurants around. The room was very clean and the personal is very attentive. I forgot my kindle book in the room after sign out, and call them. They keep it for the week and I took it back on the way back to my country.

The rooms are small and has the very basic but are clean, for short stay the hotel is really worth for its price.

Great location. Great for just a bed and bathroom! If you want more then this is not the place for you. This has a bed, small table and chair, sink, toilet, and shower! The necessities. Highly recommend for travelers by themselves that want to just sleep and spend the rest of the time out of the apartment. Very close to the metro by like a 3 min walk!

Only negative was the size of the shower but I knew it was France and they are known for small restrooms ahahh!

The room was perfect, much more then what we were waiting, It has hair dryer, bathroom and shower inside the bedroom, good space and good view at the window, the bad was comfortable and the staff offered daily new towels!!!

It hasnt breakfast! and has no lift, but i dunderstand its because Paris center is an old place and the buildings are all old, but the inside ladder was repairing, then i think next time i book the place the steps would be renewed!!!

The location is quite central, very close to the bastille and in an area that looks very alive. It is very well connected with main metro lines and it has a mcdonalds in the corner for late dinner just in case. We found supermarkets, coffes and bars nice and near. The guy of the check in was very helpfull, the other not so much.

The bathroom inside the room is divided between wc with a door, shower box with a curtain and the sink is in the space next to the bed. I mean, I get it's the french style but you couldn't close the door of the WC because not even a kid can fit in that cabin. HORRIBLE!!!! The rest was everything good, ah also the wifi doesn't work quite good either.

Great location, and cheap. Certainly no frills. Definitely the place you pay for when you're a broke traveller. Room was pretty bare bones and fridge was non functional. Our room was just a step up from a dormitory. Definitely get what you pay for. As we were out enjoying Paris most of the time, we didn't really mind that our room wasn't the nicest but Paris is expensive and it is what it is!
