Everything was a delight and in excellent order The situation was charming and accessible set, as in a 'mews' arrangement..The room had all that we needed; a bed , a small kitchen & shower room. The reception staff were so welcoming and kind; we would certainly like to stay there again, in fact we will.

Hotel d'Horloge provides self-contained studios that were ideal for our week in Paris. It is positioned between two nearby metro stations that provided easy access to the city or further afield. It is on the fringe of the tourist area but is surrounded by cafes and restaurants with good food to meet all budgets. The studios are tight but well equipped with hot plates and all facilities. Beds are comfortable and rooms are warm. If you are our age (70s) go for the ground floor. The layout is marvellously quirky with studios on the ground and first floor facing each other in an open narrow cobblestoned courtyard. It is built from a 18th Century fire station with stables downstairs and quarters on the first floor. Security provided by enormous wrought iron gates monitored from the office. The staff are its strength, nothing is too much trouble. If you are staying a week in Paris and are happy to travel to Printemps by metro without having to change, this is the place.

It's exactly as it says on the tin.

The rules stated that the rooms are cleaned daily if you stay for less than a week, but mine was cleaned only once over the several days of my stay, and only when I asked for it directly. And even then they didn't replenish the coffee and tea in the room. What's the use of having a coffee machine in the room when you have no coffee to put in it.

Clean room with small kitchenette. Toilet, sink and shower in-room. Bed/pillow is comfortable and long/wide enough for 6'2" (187cm) male with wide shoulders. Friendly staff. Outside area is gated 24/7 for security. Close to two different metro lines. 20 min walk to Notre Dame. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Price is on the edge of reasonable as it has a tiny kitchenette (stovetop, sink, pots tableware, venting.) I would go again if I couldn't find anything cheaper (as I don't use kitchenettes while on vacation.) If you are there on business for an extended stay (5+ days) and all you want is a place to hang your hat and a tiny desk ... I would say it's perfect. Reception open until midnight.

Narrow stairway to second level. Bathroom can be tight if you are over 6'2" (187cm) and not skinny. Hotel is 30 seconds off a main street. If you are arriving during the day, no problem. If you arriving at night, you may not feel comfortable, I saw some sketchy people 'hanging-out' at 10 PM near the hotel. I had no issues, but I know my wife would. Recommend you take the M2 metro (not the M3 metro.) Price is on the edge of reasonable as it has a kitchenette. On the off chance you have a car, there is no parking on-site. Reception closes at midnight (don't be late for check-in.)

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the Metro and many shops and restaurants. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.

The kitchen could have been better equipped so that you could prepare food. Even though there was a stove, there were not enough utensils to prepare things.

Good location about 10 min walk from Oberkampf. Apartment small but reasonably modern, very clean and with everything you need for a short stay. Bed was very comfortable, shower had good pressure, kitchen has working hobs, microvave, kettle , coffe maker and a a good selecton of pots and plates. The apartments are in a gated street and felt safe waliking around day or night. Reception was very helpful and friendly.

Wifi was a bit slow at times.

The unexpected increase in tourist taxes - indisputable - should be communicated before arrival. The accommodation had been booked for months and communication is important for customer satisfaction. It's a shame, because we've been several times and we like it. You will improve next time, we're sure :)

The hotel is nice and cozy, the staff is very helpful and the location is convenient. The place is safe and clean enough. Overall a great stay if you will be out and about in Paris.

The rooms are very small - that's normally not a problem, just something to keep in mind. There is no breakfast area, no smoking area or a common room to spend time with your co-travellers - the place will be best for people who will simply sleep there.

Location-close to metro lines 2 and 3 for easy access to all sites in Paris. Kind and helpful staff. Very attractive, clean and comfortable accommodations in a safe location. Looks just like photographs. Would definitely stay there again!
