It was an enjoyable stay! The room was cleaned daily, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation, especially for young people, as there are numerous cafes, restaurants, and bars nearby. There's a fantastic bar right across the street from the hotel. The only downside was that the people at that bar were quite loud and boisterous until the early morning hours, so if you prefer to keep your windows open, it might affect your sleep.

On the first day of check-in, we encountered a staff member who couldn't speak English or French. He mistakenly tried to overcharge us for city taxes, asking for 150.4€ instead of the correct amount, 15.4€ and he doesn’t understand a word when we try to explain him he want to charge us too much. We paid in cash to resolve the situation, assuming it was an accidental error. Everything was ok at the end but it's wise to remain cautious in such situations and better to have cash with you.

A larger than average room for Paris with a window opening onto a quiet back street. Not every room has this so you should specify this when booking. The bathroom is clean and modern. cleanliness is exceptional. We stayed in winter and the room was warm without heating. There is no aircon in the hotel so it is likely the room could be hot/stifling in summer. The location is unexceptional and a bit far out from the centre with not much in the nearby main streets. However, we discovered at the end of our stay that around the next Metro, Parmentier, and beyond there is a wealth of authentic Paris living areas with lots of little cafes etc and excellent bargain shopping. At Parmentier head left past the metro and the tabac adjacent to it to the next major cross street (maybe 400-500m) and then turn right along a long shopping street with everything in it. The cafe near the hotel, Chez Gaston, is best avoided for food but it has a good ambiance for a drink or so. Our food there was pretty poor especially for Paris. Across the main street from Chez Gaston is an excellent Italian restaurant which needs booking. The hotel staff will direct you. Not much else great around in food or facilities. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style and is good quality and value for money. However, it is very limited in choice (it's the same every day) so if you are staying more than say three days (we stayed five days) the monotony of the same cheese, sliced sausage, packaged fruit and yoghurt, bread and croissant, juice, coffee, muesli became too much and we could hardly bring ourselves to eat. But bear in mind that this costs only E10 per person and in a cafe you pay nearly that for a coffee and croissant. In all a good value, fair quality budget hotel with no frills giving you what you need and a bit more so that it compares favourably to other similar hotels.

The buffet breakfast was monotonous. Despite being advised in the booking that the price included all taxes and charges we were charged very hefty taxes, much more than the usual city tax. When raising this with the hotel we were advised this was a Booking.com problem and the hotel could not/would not rectify he problem.

The location is excellent, the room size isn't anything posh, but enough to have a proper rest and to take a shower. Nice, full height windows helps too keep the room cozy. Nothing special but convenient. I can imagine that in the summer heat the room can be too hot though.

Please be noticed that besides the bed and the shower there is barely nothing more in the room. I truly didn't like the lack of the kettle or a glass, but you can easily reach the boling water in the breakfast area ( all day long ) same as a mug or a glass. The elevator mostly don't work!!!

Great location, close to cafes and subway stops. Staff were really nice and rooms were tidied daily.

The towels weren't changed daily. Also, the listing clearly states air conditioning available - this was not the case, just a table fan was provided. Luckily it wasn't very hot while we were visiting and the room has a reasonable sized window.

We had a great stay at Hotel des Metallos. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do in Paris, and close to lots of good restaurants and bars. By Paris standards, the room was a decent size and had plenty of windows which we could open to let a breeze through (we travelled in a heatwave!). We slept well and didn't find it too noisy. Staff were helpful and friendly, and looked after our bags for a few hours after we checked out.

The fan in the room was pretty noisy, so we couldn't use it while sleeping.

The hotel has an excellent location. Bus and metro stations in a walkable distance, amazing restaurants, bistros, bakeries and takeaways, also bars and beer places. The room was small but the space was well organized. Also it was really clean and tidy with everyday cleaning by the staff. Everyone in the hotel were helpful and nice, they helped us also and kept our luggage to a storage compartment after the check out.

We don't care about the room space, but the bathroom has the toilet seat on a really wrong place. The wall is less than a cm near and actually you can't sit... The road outside has some clubs and bars, so can be noisy in the early hours on weekend.

The location was great and a lovely stroll from the main tourist attractions. The room was small and compact but perfect for one and very clean. Good shower and comfy bed. Just what I needed for a short and inexpensive stay in Paris.

It would have been nice to have tea making facilities in my room but it was also really easy to pop downstairs to reception for that.

The location, room size and staff were really great. It was great value for the money. The windows in the room were such a pleasant, unexpected surprise. The location was perfect.

The pillows - I wish there were more than 2 in the double room, and that they were a little more substantial.

We really liked the location. Good starting point for lots of visits in the "rive droite". Metro station, excellent bakeries & restaurants around the corner. Our room was sufficiently modern and comfortable. Rather small, but it´s Paris, you probably won´t get a bigger room for the money.

The floor in our room wasn´t thoroughly cleaned. But if you have some additional shoes ready for the room, you´ll be fine. To be fair: Linen, towels and bathroom were fresh and clean.

Nice hotel in one of the prettiest areas in Paris. The room was not big but for one persone was nice. Close to tube stations and also many restaurants and bars in neighbour. I think the price was fair for Paris. Suggested
