We had read the reviews that the rooms are small, but we didn't bother since all day we were out. The room was a bit small but perfect for a cpuple like us, It was cute, cozy, clean, comfy and super warm for those cold days we stayed in paris. The staff was super friendly and nice with us. The location was perfect as it was literally seconds from the metro station. Not next to a basic attraction, but you can always take the metro to anywhere! We also loved the different lights on top of the bed and the mirror of the toilet.

The only thing we wanted to have is more options for breakfast. Another thing that bothered us was that people from other rooms were making noise with their door or at the aisle at 2am, but this has nothing to do with the hotel or the staff.

I found that the room was small but perfectly formed. I was in room 35 and would suggest that particular room is best for a single person, I noticed on the emergency plan (fire escape) that other rooms looked to have a bit more floor space. The bed was a double and comfortable, there was a small space to hang clothes & a few shelves, a small desk and a small bathroom. Everything I needed for a weekend stay. Location was only 5 stops on the metro from Gare du Nord which was perfect for me arriving on the Eurostar.

It could have been a little more space to move around in the room, but I fitted my suitcase at the end of the bed & could bring it onto the bed when I needed to access it.

Mindblowing location (like 80 meters from the Metro station), very friendly and nice staff, everyone speaks good english. Rooms are clean, there are 4 pillows, the bed is pretty comfy. I could leave my bags until the evening train. Extra point: I forgot one of my belongings and team carefully took care of it until I was able to pick it up in couple of days (I just called the hotel directly and it was sorted immediately). The breakfast is a pretty versatile: cereals, yogurts, 2 types of ham, cheese, croissants, coffee/tee.

I had a couple of small issues, but those did not affect my impression of the hotel. Bathroom door was not closing properly and sometimes was opening by itself - was fixed by a smashed plastic bottle. And the soap dispenser in the shower did not work right (the soap was there, so it was not a problem). I've missed some fresh air in the room, but I was able to cool it down with the AC.

The hotel is located directly next to the metro, as close as it can be, and a few restaurants with terrace. Clean room, small but very functional and refurbished, friendly staff. I did not have the breakfast, but the little buffet looked good and also had some cold cuts and cheese besides baguette, butter and jam which would be the regular Parisien breakfast. Breakfastroom was on groundfloor with daylight. I used to stay at another hotel which was this time fully booked, but will stay at Mary's next time.

For me the pillow was too thick and hard, but that's a personal thing.

The location is absolutely excellent. The hotel is really good for the price that you find in Paris. It was really clean, they changed our towels every day and cleaned the room and they have a 24-hour reception. Every member of staff was absolutely kind and all of them spoke English. The elevator was not working but they offered helped but, as my husband did it by himelf they gave us complimentary drinks. The room is quite small but perfect to stay a couple of days.

They could leave an extra towel for the hands, but we asked and they gave us an extra big one. You could hear other guests as the rooms are quite small but it wasn't a problem for us really.

Such a great location convenient for the république metro. We stayed overnight as a stop gap travelling from the Alps to Gare de Lyon before catching the Eurostar the following morning from Gare de Nord. Mary’s hotel république is perfectly placed near the metro and between these two stations. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. It was clean and comfortable and the room was big enough to accommodate myself, my husband and our two children.

The toilet/shower room didn’t have anywhere to place a toothbrush, wash bag etc.. A shelf and some hooks would be handy.

The location is fantastic- 2 mins from the metro and there are plenty of nice places to eat nearby. My kids especially liked all the computer game stores on the same road towards the Republique square. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfy and modern.

The jokers above us, who make loads of noise late at night.

The staff was unbelievably friendly, the rooms were tiny but very modern and clean (and had good ac!) and best, of course, the location! Super close to the center with a lot of public transport options in front of your door.

The bathroom could maybe profit from a hanger, the room does have some shelves and hangers but no closet (which is perfect for 5 days but might be annoying if you want to stay 2 weeks)

Friendly, accessible staff. Modern room with good bed, lighting and curtains. Not large room, but was spacious enough to be used just as a base camp. It seemed all clean. Bathroom was clean and modern (nice shower, sink and toilet). As with any hotel, the walls were a little thin, but everyone was politely quiet. Central, well-connected location.

Mattress, while comfortable enough, had a slightly annoying groove. Two things you should note: 1. You cannot take your key with you when you go out - you need to hand your key in to reception whenever you leave (you can collect it from the 24h front desk when you return) 2. No guests allowed (and, especially in single rooms, there probably wouldn't be space anyway)

The hotel was spotless and it smelled clean everywhere, inside and outside the rooms. Very nice and convenient location as well. Staff were very hospitable and kind, they were welcoming when I had to do some work on my laptop in the reception area before and after check-out and they kept my luggage all day until it was time for my train. Although check-in time was at 15:00, my room was ready earlier than expected and they let me check in at 13:00 rather than keep me waiting till 15:00 for no reason.

The place is rather basic and the rooms are pretty small but no real complaints honestly. Everything else makes up for it.
