The hotel is old and dates back at least 4 centuries giving it a certain 'olde worlde' charm. Whilst presenting the modern conveniences of wifi and a lift, with a seating area and free coffee during the day. The reception were all very welcoming and kind. Especially when I locked my key card in my room. And when, due to peace, calm and comfy bed, I overslept and missed breakfast I was offered a coffee and something to eat me to tide me over before my train. The location is also very central to the Latin quarter, so perfect for sightseeing or dining out.

Quaint and clean. Beds are very comfy. Concierge Jean Camille funny and friendly. Location perfect. Breakfast fresh and delicious.

Stairs were rickety - but we managed

The staff were friendly and helpful. Each room is completely different - cute and charming since it's a converted mansion. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The location is so perfect! Literally just off the busy street so all of the access and none of the noise from the traffic close to all the best eating locations, all methods of transportation including the train to come and go from the CDG airport,

Nothing negative comes to mind when I'm thinking back on my stay with this hotel.

Terrific location-easy walk to metro, food store, restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Quirky room definitely had character. Did not know, when I booked, that breakfast was included, so was quite happy with that.

The elevator was the smallest I've ever seen, but my daughter loved it! The hair dryer sparked, quite impressively, on our last day. It was reported and staff went to investigate it right away.

If you love art, history and the 17th century, this is the hotel for you! Our room was quirky and cozy, and oozing charm with colombages ( half-timbering) and sweet provincial wallpaper. The whole of the little boutique hotel is filled with pieces of framed artwork that looks like they came from a French aunt’s attic and lend a charming atmosphere. The staff were all extremely pleasant and chatty and oh so helpful. The croissants were among the best we’ve ever had and the café crème machine was available day and night. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, with numerous restaurants à deux pas.

Mattress needs an upgrade. The elevator is a minuscule hoot, but if you can suck it in, you’ll fit.

Hotel is located in a great spot, everything is near, all the spots to see are just from a short walk. Airport train from CGH stops near hotel, so no need for a hassle with the metro system. Neighbour is calm at night.

Well the water from the shower was constantly changing temperature from cold to hot. So the showering was kept to the minimum.

Not a boring chain hotel! It has character and history, quirky in a good way. Friendly staff, a great breakfast, a perfect location for exploring the centre of Paris and lots of cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Very Paris! I would go back any time.

The elevator is tiny and the stairs are steep...could be challenging for people with mobility issues or too much luggage! But it's the nature of a charming old building. I am in my 70's but I travel light and managed well.

Convenient location, stone throw away from the Seine and a metro stop. Lots of landmarks within walking distance. The room was quiet at night as it didn’t face a main street which was great, and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

The elevator is very small, the walls are very thin - it felt like the people talking in the hallway were inside the room. The carpets in the room could be replaced. The breakfast was tasty but very simple (only choice of food was cheese/ butter/ jam/ yogurt/ croissants/ baguette).

It’s a rustic vintage style hotel. Lovely staff, clean rooms. Great space for Paris. Fabulous location. The only down side is that the bathrooms are dated. But overall an excellent stay. Whilst you have to take steep uneven stairs to your room, they have a goods lift for your luggage!

Was looking for a classic hotel experience in the center of Paris. Hotel du Lys was perfect. Was even surprised to find our room had a small balcony. Loved it!

Not a place for people who have mobility issues. Elevator is really tiny. No seriously. Even by European standards. I've never seen smaller. Stairs are uneven and look hundreds of years old. Adds to the ambiance, but if you are not steady on your feet, you need to stay on the first floor.
