Location and friendly service

Friendly and helpful staff, location right by the subway, the rail station and an AVIS location. Also the neighbourhood is lively with bars, restaurants, bistros and scores of well kept small stores of all kinds - including a grocery right next to the hotel. It's a real, lived-in neighbourhood.

Too lively , late in the night - knots of. (young) people laughing and talking late in the night. Pleasant or annoying, depending on one's need for sleep :) The Wi-Fi is bad, so be prepared to hotspot from your phone.

The location was excellent

The location was the best part for me. It can not be any more central than this. It is right above the metro. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Although I was using Uber for the most part since I had my family with me. Most major attractions were 10 to 15 euro Uber away from the location. Very trendy area and tons of restaurants all around. McDonald's next door, Starbuck cross the street. Very good value for the money.

There was not anything I did not like. The hotel was old and dated, but they kept it clean. Also, bathrooms are bigger than most new hotels. Lift is 2 person max, but it is probably standard in that area and was kind of an attraction for us. I only saw those on TV :) The only part that was a bit inconvenient was that there was no shower curtain on the tub, so taking a shower was a challenge. By the way, I wanted extended check out at 1 pm and sent the request thru booking.com app, got confirmation thru app but on the day of check out the reception said that confirmation if from booking.com and not from hotel. If I want to go past 12 pm, it will be 20 euro/hour. Therefore, I left at 12 to avoid the fee. So double-check if you have to extend check out. I would stay there again.

The location is excellent 10/10, everything is a few steps away (metro, train, shops, restaurants, clubs, bars, etc.). The strategic location of the hotel. Everything is just nearby, you don't need to walk far. Also, the transport connectivity is a bonus, the metro is right at the entrance of the hotel, and the train is just a few minutes away.

The only disappointment is the room's ventilation, the air in the room was too heavy and the AC was not working, I had to leave the window open for fresh air. if the hotel can fix the ventilation system (or maybe this is the problem for the room where I slept) I would have given it 10/10.

I am going to sound like a shill for the property, but let me assure you that I did not know what the Hotel Terminus Montparnasse looked like until I arrived. As you can imagine, the rooms are small (which for me is perfectly fine because I travel only with a carry-on and a laptop bag. The bathroom is fantastic and the decor is very cute (obviously the bathroom is huge in comparison to the room, but that's neither here nor there). The rooms are impeccably clean and have absolutely everything you may need (yes, even a very tiny desk to write or work - I am an academic, I need a desk, period). I slept like a baby particularly because the room had controlled heating which allowed me to sleep and not freeze at night. They also provide an additional blanket. The breakfast was scrumptious and for 10 euros, and as a buffett, it was absolutely incredible. I had stayed at other hotels in Paris before but this one really hit the ball out of the park for me. The service is impeccable and the wifi very strong and reliable. 100/10 would recommend.

I don't think that there is anything I did not like, but obviously the elevator is small like all the elevators in Paris. Though the building is very old, it's extraordinarily well maintained and I did not feel unsafe at all in the area. You can walk to the Eiffel Tour (bear in mind it's a 30-40 minute walk, though). Very close to Gare Du Nord, so relatively easy to get to.

Great location, good restaurants in neighborhood. Very easy to get around - subway entrance/exit is just in front of the hotel (although there was no ticket machine in here, so possibly stock on those). Room was cleaned every day. I liked the stay.

Hotel is just above the subway tunnel. Cant comment on the higher floors, but staying on the ground floor was a bit shaky. However the shaking actually turned into a gentle, soothing, rocking while going to sleep (and once asleep it doesn't matter anymore). So actually that shaking is a plus.

It was a decent hotel in a good location. the lady at check in was really nice and welcoming. she was helpful with giving some information about their local public transportation. the breakfast was okay but not worth it for me. The room was clean and worth the price.

The bathroom tub needs an update. They don’t have a shower curtain so it was also very wet and slippery after showers. We saw 3 different staff and 2 out of 3 were not as friendly or helpful. The connected rooms were separate rooms connected by a separate door with a different key than our room keys and we had to keep turning it in. The other 2 staff that weren’t as friendly we’re irritated at us for turning it in and asking for it back whenever we would come and go - but that is what the other lady told us to do! ALSO! I filled out the survey had asked about converter plugs and yet they didn’t have any and was rudely told to go by some nearby.

Service, room, location and price are amazing for a budget trip to Paris. A metro is right in front of the hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful to answer everything we asked. Room is small but very clean and have all the necessities. Totally worth the price. Would highly recommend.

We didn’t know there isn’t elevator to the room we stayed but it is okay for us because we didn’t have heavy luggages, but if you have such concern, I’d say better check with the staff when you book the room.

Excellent location, a short walk from the Gare Montparnasse and with a metro at the door. The clerk at reception, Joseph was excellent, welcoming and was most helpful in arranging for a car to collect me the following morning for the airport. The lady at the desk the following morning was equally friendly.

The lay-out of the building meant that although my room was on the first floor there was no lift access and it meant carrying a suitcase down one stair case and then up another staircase to get to my room,
