We stayed in a standard studio (room 509) from 27-30 November. It was very quiet (no nice view, but it didn’t matter). The purpose of our stay was to visit the Christmas markets which were located just around the corner and dotted throughout the city but all within walking distance. We arrived by train and did not need a car as everything is located just a few steps from les Citadines (10 mins walk to the train station), lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, public transport. The room, bathroom and kitchenette were all spotless clean (a big thank you to the housekeeping team) and very comfortable. There were lots of electrical sockets and mirrors - very useful. We did not take breakfast as there was a kitchenette so we purchased croissants from the bakery a few steps away and made our own hot drinks. Washing up liquid, sponge and tea-towels were provided. They also provided complimentary tea/coffee down in the reception area. There were umbrellas to borrow at reception if it’s raining - much appreciated as the weather was quite drizzly - but it didn’t matter ! They also provided paper maps indicating the location of the Christmas markets.

The wifi was free but not secured - apart from that, everything was great and we would definitely be happy to stay here again !

Excellent location. Private underground parking (15 euro). Great fridge with big freezer. New furniture in the room. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as all city entertainment.

Very uncomfortable narrow bed. It's hot in the room in summer. The room has its own kitchen, but we were lucky that our neighbors didn't cook anything - without this, there was already little fresh air in the room. And it is not clear why there is a kitchen in the room, if there is no dining table... Underground parking seemed to us narrow for large cars.

We really liked the location, the property was close to everything we needed. We were provided a room with a balcony, which was great. The room was clean, had enough space for cooking and eating. Bathroom had a bathtub. We had a dishwasher and tablets for it. The staff was very polite and helpful with everything. There was a Billiard table available at the lobby which we got to use and was cool. Tea and coffee was available for free in the lobby too.

Although the kitchen had almost all necessary utensils, it would have been great to have salt and pepper and maybe cooking oil as basics. We didn’t have anyone clean the room or change the towels during the 4-day stay.

Excellent central Strasbourg location, 10 mins walk from Cathedral and all main sites. Nice sized, clean apartment for family of 4. Friendly helpful staff. Good value for money.

Absolutely baking hot in the rooms on the 2 August nights we stayed even with fans on and windows open in the room. One lift was also out of order so there was a long wait every time we wanted to leave our 6th floor room. Beware also if you are driving here with a large vehicle, the parking garage has some VERY narrow passages and we found it challenging even with our Mini. The larger Audi arriving just after us spent 10 mins navigating one of the corners! On balance the location is so good we would stay again but not during summer months.

Shared room with my daughter and 2 friends. Kitchenette was well stocked with utensils, and open-up beds were easy to open and comfortable. We were able to get decent coffee and tea from the cafeteria, which was nice in the morning. Staff was friendly and location was good.

Windows overlooked a terrace that had garbage on it (a slipper, a sock) that made the view unpleasant and feel slightly unsafe since anyone could climb up to it and enter room easily through large windows. No air-conditioning of any kind, but luckily it wasn’t so hot. The fans were helpful, but one of the rooms was just big enough for a large bed, and the placement of the outlet made it difficult to put the fan in a good place to use properly.

Comfortable and good sized apartment, well-furnished. Well-equipped kitchenette, good bathroom. Room was bright although not most attractive view. Wifi excellent, good sized desk, plenty of sockets and charging points. Bed was large and comfortable. Very good complementary coffee in lobby area. Well-located near tram intersection and on edge of Old Town; 10 min walk from station or two stops on tram.

Nothing significant! The hotel does seem to attract groups of students etc, and they can be noisy. I would avoid taking a room close to the lifts due to loud announcements.

The location is excellent, it is close to the main Cathedral square and it is located within the historic district. We travelled with 2 x small children and the Cathedral, river area, and restaurants and shops, and a playground, were all within walking distance. The hotel staff was attentive and professional, and the morning breakfast was delicious. The hotel also facilitated parking access in advance of our arrival, the reception desk emailed the parking access code which enabled our access to the residents-only street adjacent to the hotel.

The appartment had 2 bedrooms and sofa bed in the living area which was huge. It had everything you could possibly need including a tv in each bedroom, diswasher, washing machine, full size fridge, 2 separate bathrooms, separate toilet. Citadines is located very close to trams, shops, attractions, Chrismas markets etc. Breakfast is available but we did not have it, preferring to use our well equipped kitchen. There were 2 bakeries within 5 mins walk and a supermarket 10 mins away to fulfill our culinary needs. I loved it as did my 2 40+yera old sons.

The location was ideal and room spacious enough for a family of 4. Also free flow of hot chocolate and coffee.

Upon check in we had a not a very accommodating male receptionist who downright rudely told us we can’t check in because the room capacity is only meant for 2 pax and not 4. This is after I have communicated via email prior to my arrival to reconfirm there will not be any hiccups with the room capacity. I was with 2 young kids during the Christmas week at 8pm at night and he just refused to find us a solution despite a communication error on the hotel end. However I’m pleased to say the manager stepped in and sorted our stay and even changed our room to a bigger suite for the following night. He was assertive and accommodating and we were very happy of the way he managed the situation. Kudos to him.

Lovely apartment-like rooms and an excellent location for exploring Strasbourg. Very nice front desk interaction with the host - also helpful in recommending nearby stores and restaurants. Excellent rate for parking!

Not much, honestly. Parking access is very challenging if one is not used to some European parking space sizes and maneuvering. In hot weather the rooms can be very warm (as during our stay) but with smart use of windows and the provided fans not bad at all.
