The hotel is beautiful, and the reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a separate building opposite the main hotel which was very quiet and had a great view of the only swing bridge in Strasbourg. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold items to choose from and as the weather was good, we were able to eat outside and enjoy the view. The main restaurant was closed until 6 September so cannot comment on the dining facilities. I would recommend staying in the separate building to the hotel as it was nice to be able to come and go without having to walk through the main hotel.

The valet parking is very helpful, but the charges are not clear. We are sure they said €24 per night but we were charged €40 per night. If this was made clear, we would not have opted for valet parking.

Just about everything .. absolutely gorgeous setting, room, quality of facilities. We didn't try the breakfast, but I am sure that would have been good to. VERY comfortable, large bed. Quiet, great sleep, good airconditioning. HUGE bathroom and HUGE walkin shower. Strasbourg is delightful.

Only one thing - in Room 351 the toilet was right next to the window. There were netting curtains, but no blind. The toilet was in the (beautifully) large bathroom .. but when the light was on in the bathroom, we didnt know if we could be seen by anyone outside. There were no actual buildings with windows, but there were public walkways and stairs up to another set of accommodation. I am sure that anyone passing did not want to know if we were using the toilet !! so .. we were left feeling we had no privacy .. and whenever we used the bathroom at night, we invariably brushed out teeth by the lights from outside ! we certainly did NOT turn on the light when using the toilet !

The staff were incredibly helpful and gave good advice on where to eat and where to find shops etc. The position of the hotel was really good for visiting the most attractive part of the city. The hotel was spacious and well-designed, highlighting the past use of the site (as an ice maker). The room was very comfortable.

We struggled to drive to the hotel; that was largely down to us - we missed a sign - but the instructions could have been a bit fuller.

lovely proprietors, helpful, engaging. the room was lovely and a good mix of old and new. The balcony was perfect! Very close to an awesome chocolatier and fromagerie, best cheese and chocolate we've ever had!

A fridge in the room would have been lovely (for our cheeses) and glasses, rather than paper cups. We only stayed two nights so did not worry about asking for fridge access/glasses which I'm sure would have been accommodated if we'd asked.

The staff we're absolutley amazing and attended to our every need. We stayed in the pavillion building in an annex type room and the view of 'Petite France' was beautiful. The room was clean and modern

Only down side parking is very clever use of space but not too practical we was on a tight time scale to get back on the road and had to wait for 6 cars to be moved out the way before we could get to ours. However saying that the staff did this swiftly and did apologies for the delays.

The rooms were great, very comfy bed with firm pillows, lovely shower. All extremely clean and well-equipped. Location couldn't have been better, overlooking the water and the other gorgeous timber buildings.

Maybe I missed it but the hotel should clearly advertise the cost of breakfast, €29 each! It's a good spread but not that good. Then the breakfast staff (of which there seemed too many) weren't overly friendly and moved as if they were still half asleep.

All staff that we encountered at this hotel were outstanding. The reception, concierge, housekeeping and Terrace Bar. The room was terrific with a lovely view and a lovely bed & bowls for our dog. Additionally our room was quiet and exceptionally clean. We were celebrating our Anniversary and we’re made to feel very special with a personal note and Anniversary Fizz. We spent both nights drinking Cocktails and eating at the Terrace Bar which is fab for people watching and has a great view over the water. The hotel is conveniently located and is a very special place indeed. We will be back!

What a delightful hotel in a privileged location. We had 3 rooms in the Pavillon annex (451, which we liked the best and 452, 454) all of them being clean, spacious and comfortable with all having lovely views. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would certainly recommend a stay in this upscale hotel in the beautiful town of Strasbourg.

The breakfast buffet option is pricey

Perfect location in the very heart of Strasbourg. Good quality rooms. All staff members were very nice and helpful. Special access by car (enquire about exact indications before arrival).

This whole Pavillon hotel is across the pedestrian street to the main hotel and building. Therefore for breakfast and lobby you need to cross the street. Not a problem, but would’ve been nice to know it ahead.
