The property is extremely cute, in an older, half-timbered building that is absolutely adorable. The steps can be a challenge, circular and a bit unlevel, but that added character and is expected in an older property. The bed was amazingly comfortable! Really slept well. The room was comfortable, warm but not hot, and if need be, the windows opened easily for a quick cool down. The sliding door to the bathroom did not provide total privacy, but I can see the benefit of the space it saved in a rather small room. All tv channels were in French, but no one comes to Strasbourg to watch tv. Fantastic location, with shops, bars and restaurants all close by. We did day trips to Colmar, France (30 minutes by train) and Heidelberg, Germany (95 minutes by car). The Strasbourg cathedral is from 1170 and is breathtakingly gorgeous. The Christmas markets were very festive and fun to see. The area felt extremely safe, and we saw no signs of any trouble. Most everyone was extremely friendly. The Academie de la Biere is 100 feet from the hotel and offers good food and a great selection of 15 or so beers on tap, with my favorite, Kasteel Rouge being one of them.

My suggestion to the hotel would be to add hooks in the bathroom and offer a channel or two in English if that is possible. Those minor points aside, it was a fabulous stay in an adorable property with friendly and helpful staff located in a magical city, especially at Christmas time.

The hotel is in a most picturesque area, and the outside courtyard looks over a canal with views of the Cathedral spire illuminated in the distance - very lovely. Our room was charming, comfortable and very clean, and staff were helpful and friendly. The building is old and characterful, so we didn't miss a lift. Breakfast was plentiful and good.

The door to the bathroom wouldn't remain closed, which was inconvenient, since it continually slid open while the bathroom was in use. A hook or something similar might have prevented this. The reception is not continually manned, which was slightly difficult, since we were driving a long way, and had to ensure we arrived before a certain time.

Super Location very convenient for the Christmas Markets and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is in a charming old building and has a lovely atmosphere. Our room was warm the bed was large and very comfortable. All the staff were extremely helpful and kind.

Lovely room, quaint setting and ambience.. Very clean and serviced every day. Location was excellent and within easy walking distance of markets and town centre. Good bars and restaurants nearby.

A bar in the premises or tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice.

It is obvious from the beginning that the hotel is fantastically located - next to the water and walking distance from amenities. We were even able to charge our car in the parking lot suggested by the hotel. Then, the staff were very friendly, accomodating, and attentive. They accomodated our two small children seamlessly. The room was spic and span; clean, large, and well-equiped. We managed to fit our family of 4 were accomodated in the form of bedding and facilities without any issues

The staff was really friendly, and helpful and spoke English and German as well. The restaurant is excellent and the food is delicious. The rooms are small but comfortable.

Thin windows and walls...you hear every noise and people talking. I also wish there was a better option for parking the car.

Wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a old house in the old town, so that made it that much more wonderful, but the room was modern and well equipped. Comfortable bed and linens. Right near anything you could want in the Old Town/Shopping area. 5 Minute walk from a parking garage. Would love to stay there again.

This was a perfect little Inn for us. It's only 750m from the Gare and close to lots of small restaurants with home cooking, including one in the hotel itself. The room was large and lovely with lots of character in the historic center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had everything we could ask for and a great way to start the day.

The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave.

Le Chut was a perfect getaway for my fiancée and I. From its quaint, beautifully decorated rooms to its caring, welcoming staff, we felt right at home for a couple of days. At the edge of the Centre Ville, it’s truly a gem that can directly lead you to the best parts of Strasbourg. It overlooks one of the canals too, and provides very Romantic scenery for any couple. A true gem

The lack of aircon is really a problem during hot summer days. No elevator, so prepare yourself (and your luggage) for a narrow spiral staircase.
