Hôtel Tandem - Boutique Hôtel

This is out second stay in this hôtel, we love it for so many reasons, but mostly: - The staff : very friendly and helpful staff. Very professional and they do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. - The Breakfast: best breakfast we had in France. - The location.

Nothing to highlight, everything was perfect.

The room has air-conditioning!!! This saved us as it was over 90F during our stay. Otherwise, room is small but very comfortable. But the best features are (a) the location (literally just opposite the train station, yet quiet at night) and (b) the breakfast (which has to be the best hotel breakfast I have ever had in the US or Europe). They have pet parakeets and bikes to rent. It is a fabulous hotel, with a short walk to the main sights of Strasbourg.

A/C was a bit noisy at night; apart from that, nothing.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Breakfast was a delight! Location excellent as we were travelling by train. Congratulations on a wonderful property full of great staff.

The hotel is nicely located in front of the main station - just a couple of minutes walk. I booked a room there because of all the raving reviews about their breakfast - and it didn't disappoint! We were all (four of us) very happy with everything on offer. The room itself was nice, with big windows; the bathroom was quite spacious and clean.

We travelled as a family of four - two adults + two children. I booked the room that was suggested and to be honest, don't think it was suitable for four people. It was very tight with the sofa bed, we barely had space to walk around. Do keep this in mind.

This hotel made our Christmas Market Trip even more special. The staff were so helpful, everything at breakfast was handmade and the room was very comfortable. We really loved the filtered water machines and how quality and sustainability were built into every part of the hotel. It was also very nicely decorated for Christmas so even after the day out at the market, the festive feel kept going.

Some details could use some refining to make the room more comfortable. For instance, there is no space to put your toiletries in the bathroom because it is so small. Even space for two toothbrushes was a struggle. The TV only had 2 channels in English, both news channels and subtitles and dubbing didn't work. The TV was also incompatible with casting and had no streaming available. We would have loved to get back from the markets and thrown on a Christmas movie while winding down.

The hotel was well situated, close to the station and the centre. It was quiet, clean and modern. All interactions with staff were good.

There was something a little strange. We returned to our room after being out all day and left again in the early evening (around 18:00) to pop out for something. When we returned, there were small Easter eggs in the bathroom, which we're sure were not there before we left. While this is a nice gesture, it would appear somebody entered our room outside the normal cleaning hours, which is a bit intrusive.

The location was very convenient, just across the train station, metro and bus stations. At the same time, it’s a nice area and minutes walk to downtown. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in all shifts and areas, reception, restaurant and cleaning. The rooms with little surprises like bottles of fresh water and snacks. Detail oriented. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary, with about 10 freshly baked pies and cakes every morning. Lots of options for vegetarians. We came by car and were recommended a public parkhouse just 5 minutes away, it was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay!

As it’s a petite deluxe hotel, there is nothing to complain about. Smaller rooms and a small elevator are expected in a smaller hitelnin an older building. But the rooms are renovated and very nice. So, no complaints!

The staff at the Tandem were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast each morning was exceptional and they catered very well for my gluten free request. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had anywhere. We asked for extra pillows and also mugs to use in our room and they provided these easily and quickly. We wanted a hotel near the station for ease of arriving with luggage and the hotel was ideal for that. The hotel has rather a quirky feel to it which we liked.

Apparently the reason they only supply paper cups in the rooms is because guests keep stealing the mugs which is very disappointing. Although it was out of the hands of the hotel, there was a huge area of demolition/building going on adjacent to the hotel at the current time. The noise of work there began at 7.30 am which was not a problem for us but might be for some.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were engaging and very helpful. The room was really comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent and fulfilled us until our evening night meal. We hired bikes from reception and had the most wonderful bike ride for hours. It was cheap and very easy. The location was perfect as it was so close to the train station and old town. Strasbourg you were beautiful.

The weather, unusual rain for this time of the year but it didn't spoil our time in Strasbourg. Nothing about the hotel as it ticked all the boxes for our stay in Strasbourg. One of our favourite places that we stayed in on our European trip
