Great value for money and excellent service . I wasn’t looking for pretty or super central so expected less for what I ended up getting. The hotel and rooms are basic but have everything you need ( great AC!). The hotel sits next to a busy street, gas station and grocery store, but no street noise can be heard from the room. Breakfast is an extra €10 p.p.p.d. And offered a pretty decent buffet. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk along a busy street to the station and center of town . What really stood out was the helpful staff in the hotel. The front desk went out of their way to help us with questions and services.

Location from the train station was good.

We asked for a double room but we got a family room with a single bed above the double bed. Since we are both in our seventies this was not ideal as my husband, who is tall, had to be very careful getting up in the night not to knock his head in the bunk above the bed. I had a metal step ladder facing me and had to be avoided when I got out of bed. Did we really have to have to be given a room like this when we had asked for a double room?

Easy to find. Clean. Everything we needed for an overnight stop on our travels. Much bigger than expected. 2 connecting rooms, with 2 doors in between rooms so we could just walk between both rooms without going into the corridor (ofcourse only able to open from inside your own room). Staff already checked us in and sent us the door numbers and entry codes and let us know via booking.com chat so we didn't have to worry about what time we turned up.

Location - the neighbourhood. Homeless people and racer boys gatherings at the petrol station near by. However, all safe and untouched - the Ibis grounds. Parking all safe as well and plenty of spaces.

Everything. Simple concept and format that suits travellers like me that just want the basics with no fuss but delivered in a consistent, reliable way. IBIS do this every time at all their price levels. Even at the Budget level, rooms are always warm, with comfortable beds and a generous supply of quality towels. They have maintained the excellent standards of the breakfasts in the hotels that I visit in Germany, a very good start to the day for a very reasonable price. I think it was €7. I frequently use their Budget hotel in Augsburg and the staff are always excellent, especially their breakfast staff who deserve a big thankyou

Nothing. In my view, IBIS are a great company who get the important things about their business right. Howewer, the formerly simple and straightforward straightforward entrance to this Augsburg IBIS is now a problem, thanks to the local government roads department of course. It used to be an easy journey from the city bypass straight to this IBIS, something I'm sure many travellers appreciated after a long drive. Now getting into this hotel has become much, much more difficult especially for travellers arriving at night. Well done, you local politicians. Something else that you have made difficult for others.

It was a good value for money considering the fact that the hotel is located close to the city centre. I never have very high expectations when I book Ibis Budget, so in that light everything was completely fine, including a really good breakfast, above Ibis average I would say

A washbasin next to your bed is something I’m never going to understand, but, well, I knew what I had signed up for ;)

Very clean and everything up to date Amazing staff, always happy to help Nice option of an automated check in and check out if needed Early check in at 2 pm and late check out at 12 pm is a real bonus for families with children.

A small kettle in the room would have been helpful but the reception staff were amazing and helped with the boiled water for the milk for our little one.

The room was super neat and clean. We need a parking and it was provided there. The gas station was right besides the hotel. It was fairly close to central train station (Hauptbahnhof).

We had a late midnight check-in and we did not know that we should pay with credit card and there is no staff there to help. Also, as I booked the property mentioning my late check-in, they asked me to send my credit card information to secure my booking which made me to feel unsafe about the information I had to share with them.

the room was very comfortable & staff very helpful as to where main places to look @ - there is a small supermarket across the road so any extra snacks needed -

breakfast should be charged a little cheaper which would make the stay ideal - also possible is a little further from main station than expected but not to big a problem

Liked the rooms, late check-in times, rooms together and friendliness of the staff. Kids were really happy with the rooms, bed was comfortable.

There were lots of spiders all over the room, would be a good idea to remove those. Shower was a bit small, although it functioned great there was no room to dry off.
