We were welcomed by friendly staff who kindly took our cases to the second floor. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and there is plenty of it, extremely good value. Our rooms were big and and the beds firm and comfortable

Being on the second floor, the room which was on the top floor was really hot, even at the start of May. I can only assume all the heat from the kitchens and restaurant goes upwards and it was unbearable at times. We did have fans in our room which were a godsend! The windows were not really big enough to help. There was a lack of plug sockets and I had to unplug my mini fridge to charge my phone.

We warned the reception desk at the hotelwe were going to be much later than our announced arrival time due to unforeseeable traffic jams on the Austrian motorways between 5 and 9 pm !! We needed to ring back a few times as we noticed the traffic situation worsened ...but the man at thez hotel reception was very understandind and forthcoming...and calmed us by sying he'd wait until 1.30 in the morning untilwe would arrive. Finally, we left the Autobahn at 8.45 pm and decided we would try and grab dinner somewhere and by the end of the dinner then hopefully the traffic jams would have been solved...which was the case !! :-) We then called back to the hotel and let the same nice man at the reception know we were arriving around 12.30 am.... upon which her replied we shouldn't rush and take no risks speeding to get to the hotel earlier !! If only all hotel receptionists were like that !! It really tkes off the stress one has already built up because of all the trouble on the road !! Upon arriving at the hotel...the same nice man gave us a warm welcome, said I (the man of the couple) still looked quite fit and asked if I'd like a glass of red wine !! If my partner had not been so tired and worn out..I probably would have accepted the offer... The a colleadue of him hearingus talk of a the birhday of our son we were going to be celebrating in Belgium the next day jokingly suggested to open a bottle of prosecco to drink to our son"s health .... What a nice way to end a rather stressful day !! The next morning, a rich breakfast awaited us in a classically decorated dining room... reminiscent of the old Roman villas... table cloths and napkins in linnen.... I mean ..the works !! Italian staff was really making us feel at home. Upon checking out, the same nice man from the reception suggested - upon learning we'd been staying in Pula, Croatia, that he has friends over there and could arrange, if the situation so presented itself, for accomodation !

Good location. we have received room in Attic floor. it’s a spacious room, but with little ventilation. No lift. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast is too basic which should be improved, Car can be parked in the premises which is good. Wi-Fi is available, but we handle got signal in the room. This should be improved.

It’s an old building so no AC although a portable unit was there but it would of keep us awake with the hum.. No curtains at one of the windows !

Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable (including the bathroom). The common areas were well kept, and the restaurant was outstanding. Breakfast and onsite parking (free) were also great. The hotel is a few minutes drive to the old town.

We liked everything!

Everything, it's a beautiful Italian oasis, with friendly staff and exceptional good pizza, was like we were back in Italy. The breakfast light, but we very good products.. coffee, the best! Room and bathroom big, my husband wants to mention, if it's possible to add some curtains or shades to the windows 😊 Thank you for everything

Nothing to fault

the location was perfect for our bike trip. the character of the hotel was just what we were looking for. Very attentative staff and we were lucky to enjoy live entertainment on Friday evening. Great atmosphere. Food was excellent

We discovered a little gem! Rarely we have come across a place that feels like home. Maybe other travellers have different feelings, but for us, it has been lovely. A must do: eat at the restaurant! We tried many things from the menu and we have not been able to find something to like less. The staff is very kind and friendly.

Beautiful Italian feel. Great food at reasonable prices. car locked behind gates overnight.

It was a very hot day and there was no air conditioning. However they provided a fan and the rooms has very high ceilings so it was not too bad. It was 38 degrees outside so air con would have been preferable.

Good position if you travel by car. Very large and nice room, the bathroom was also large, but its lay-out could have been better. There is a restaurant downstairs, but this didn't bother us.
