The room was quite small but very cozy with a wonderful view. The location is good, around 15 minutes walk from the town center. The hotel is located on a hillside so you have to climb up a little on your way back from the town but it wasn’t a problem for us and the view compensated for this effort. Breakfasts were delicious and the buffet was very rich. There were no dishes in a room but you could easily go downstairs anytime, make yourself a tea or coffee and take it to the room. The owners were really kind and helpful.

- Check in was easy - Parking Facility was great (Electric Car), they charge for the electricity but the parking was free - Room was quite and very clean -comfortable bed, free bed for a 4 year old kid -bathroom was nice and clean - breakfast has less varieties yet delicious

- they have a Sauna & Jacuzzi facility but because officially it was a half working day on Monday for that hotel (Ruhetag), the Sauna was SHUTDOWN :( (generally, Sauna is open only between 15:00 to 20:00 hours). I felt it strange because we pay full money for all the facilities but we get only what they like. After a long day in the freezing temperatures, me and my wife wanted to use the Sauna. Otherwise no complaints !

Great location, great view, great breakfast and complementary travel tickets for the local area as well! The family running the hotel were super welcoming and made us feel at ease.

Very charming hotel on a hill with a beautiful view. Walking distance from the city center. Breakfast buffet was great. A variety of choices and there are some great views from the dining space. Rooms were cute, bathrooms were nice. We booked it 20 minutes before we arrived and they were ready for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located up the hill so the view is spectacular. From the train station we took the bus to the hotel and walked the last 100m to the hotel. The walk is uphill so a taxi from the train station is recommended. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The hotel was very clean and quiet.

Loved traditional character of the hotel and room. There were lovely, attentive staff who were present but stayed in the background. Fantastic views from our room and from the breakfast terrace. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Free use of local bus services by means of a card from the hotel is excellent and we used it to visit local attractions.

After long walks, the final walk up the hill to the hotel was a bit of a challenge, but it’s Bavaria and it was a walking holiday so we got over it!

10+++ I have stayed at this hotel a few years ago. They do a 10 ++ / A+++ job. I think they have the best hotel view overlooking the valley and town. Most rooms overlook the mountains and valley/city. The owners are just wonderful. Great hot water. Elevator. Nice wooden Bavarian wooden feel to the room. VERY CLEAN. Parking directly on side. Enough electrical outlets. Very quiet location. Great WiFi. GREAT, I mean WONDERFUL Breakfast!

Our room was off to the side & had a most private balcony. I love sitting there & admired my peek view of the River. Our room was like a little cottage with all the light wood decor. At our nice breakfast we were able to view the “Eagles Nest” from the terrace. Breakfast was very good. The hotel provided us with a “discount” card which we were able to use. Adequate parking. THANK YOU!

Nothing really. However, the rooms are a little dated but nothing spoiled the incredible view from the balcony.

Friendly, comfortable hotel with magnificent views over Berchtesgaden and to Mount Watzmann. Good breakfast too. Quiet and pretty street.
