This hotel is modern, clean and very well located. Everything works and is of a good standard. The breakfast is superb and one of the best I have had in a while. The room was warm and comfortable and in good order.

One lady on reception we found to be a little less than friendly. Maybe it was her manner but she just was not warm and it seemed like you were a burben to her when asking a question. The hotel doesnt have minibars in room and there is a fridge with drinks at the lifts and also some snacks. I took some as this same receptionist shouted across to me how many I was taking. I felt like I was being accused of trying to take them unpaid. There should either be a vending machine where you pay or an honesty system where you state what you have taken at checkout (which we did and would do in all cases). To have someone calling across at you in a 4 star hotel is poor and I didnt feel it was fair.

Really good breakfast buffet and on request we got the most comfortable orthopedic pillows and a flattening iron. Excellent noise protection in the rooms, black out curtains, had a good deep sleep :)

Couldn't turn off or regulate the Aircon (you're just not supposed to). Couldn't shower without spilling water everywhere. No plug sockets next to the beds (!). Staff always seemed to be a little confused. Had to pay a deposit of 50€ cash because the card reader wasn't working. Mattress for my taste way too soft. I don't understand the color concept of the whole interior design at all. All mixed, some floral, some modern elements. Quite tasteless :/

Delightful spacious classic building which feels completely different to most modern cramped, soulless hotels. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast wholesome, location right beside Berlin Story Bunker museum and Anhalter Station. Far enough from city centre to feel too busy but close enough to commute around with ease. Neighbourhood felt safe and there were some decent restaurants nearby. Flexible payment with card or cash which was a relief. If I was returning to Berlin I would stay here again.

I was satisfied with the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, lobby spacious.

The hotel was in a good location and was comfortable and had a fridge which was great it is was very warm during our stay. The restaurant serves lovely food-the set menu was great value. Hired bikes direct from the hotel which made things very easy and the bikes were good quality.

The air conditioning did not work very well. Whilst the food in the restaurant was good the restaurant itself lacked any character and had little atmosphere. There was a sign that if we put out a note to say we didn't need a clean we would get a €5 refund off purchases at the bar but the voucher did not seem to be easy accessible-we had to ask reception for it and they didn't seem to believe us when we said there wasn't one in our room.

Great location next to Anhalter S-Bahn Station, 10 min walk to Potsdamer Platz. Wonderful breakfast - up to Movenpick standards. One dinner on-site was quite good too. After a bit of a rocky start, staff was quite accommodating and helpful. Our third assigned room was very comfortable and quiet. More on why this was our 3rd assigned room below.

We asked from two bed room and away from elevator and non-connecting. First assigned room was immediately next to elevator, a connected, had a third single bed and was a small awkward room. Awful room. Asked for better room away from elevator, non-connector. New room assigned. Why did we get awful room at first? This second room was on the surface adequate, but toilet was glassed in so any night use would light-up the room and there is no small night light in toilet. Also, sliding door to toilet was almost impossible to close. Toilet had deep tub without any rubber mat and was dangerous to use. Two bed room had only one coffee cup. So ask for room without glass toilet walls, and shower. After one awkward night, we finally obtained a comfortable room which was wonderful.

The location of hotel is a minute away from Anhalter station, right across the Story Bunker. I arrived way early before check-in time. They have a room for luggage storage and they were the only hotel during my European trip that would actually name tag the luggage so it felt safe. The hotel has high ceiling and it felt very spacious inside the room. AC worked perfect. Washroom was clean. They provide shampoo/body wash, liquid hand soap, hair dryer, movenpick coffee powder and tea bags, water kettle.

After I finally checked in late at night, I found the hotel room phone couldn't dial to the reception. The kettle was not working properly (it leaks and took a long time to boil, or maybe I couldn't work it out??) and they don't automatically provide toothbrush which I desperately needed and couldn't buy nearby late at night. So I had to walk twice to the lobby for service and it was frustrating because our room was the furthest. At last, the staff helped me getting a toothbrush kit and a functional (but still leaking) kettle. There is a fridge inside the room but no movenpick ice-cream inside it.

I like the area, the facilities, the room and the courtyard. It is really big property and you see it is well organized . The spaces are really well taken care of. Appreciate the options you have if you renunce the daily cleaning you have 5 euro voucher for the bar. The room was big with all facilities you need. I didn't have the chance to try the sauna but it was available daily from 5pm to 11pm , really nice! They have also a corner with tourists information (activities and tour you can do in Berlin).

Once arrived probably the room wasn't finished, there were pillow and bed liner on the chair from previous guests I supposed. We had to ask someone to pick that up, which took almost an hour! The staff wasn't aware about the upgrade possiblity for the guest ( I received an email and a message in booking.com). They told me I should contact booking.com but I said they should call Booking.com and know what they offer to guests. I asked for a plate of fruit for my arrival saying a bit what fruit I would like to expect and they said they were going to take care of it (8 euro) . The plate of fruit was 3 blueberry, one apple and 2 strawberry.......or this was already included in the room, they just didn't consider my request. The ventilator in the room was pretty noisy.

The hotel is in a good location, near train and underground stations. In walking distance of Potsdammer Platz, monuments and musuea, as well as Checkpoint Charlie. But also nice to explore Kreuzberg further. You have easy access (by metro) to other neighbourhoods. We liked Markthalle Neun (food hall), for instance, for afternoon drinks. As for facilities in the hotel, we didn't have breakfast or dinner there. We had a drink at the bar. Staff was very friendly and spoke english. As the ceilings are very high in the dining area, we didn't feel there was a lot of atmosphere. And there are so many options around the hotel that it's not a necessity.

Room spacy and bright, big windows you can open for fresh air. Small fridge for you to be used. Good selection at breakfast of all the usual stuff. Location is good, 2min from S-Bahn and Bus. But it is not very close (for walking) to main sights or shopping areas.

Upon booking I had requested an early arrival & check-in and had received a positive (probably automated?) response. But finally I could not get into my room earlier. Upon arrival room temperature was @ 25 ... I was wasting bit of energy until I noticed and turned it down. Staff could be a bit more forthcoming - while everything was settled very well once they attended to me, sometimes I felt that they leave you waiting without reason before addressing you. The 7-minute egg @ breakfast .... it was hard boiled i.e. 10 minutes at least. Upon check-in they told me they need to block a deposit of 50€ on my credit card. I had booked via booking.com and had not expected this Note that I consider the above as small issues - like suggestions for improvement - overall I had a great stay!

it was in a good location and easy to get around to places that I wanted to visit. Walking distance to Check Point Charlie and the downtown area. The hotel was clean, the room was very comfortable and I appreciated the chance to earn a voucher for not needing new towels each day - they covered the cost of breakfast on my last day. The chocolate happy hour was a nice surprise.

The curtains didn’t quite cover the entire window! The cost was more than I expected but I wanted to be in the same hotel as some friends.
