reception staff were really friendly and helpful. We really appreciated being able to leave bags at the Mandala on our last day because we had a late flight back. The breakfast and breakfast room were outstanding - a great choice of food and a beautiful setting. There are lots of great eating places within a 5 -10 minute walk. We particularly enjoyed the Paulaner, a Bavarian bar/ restaurant around the corner, the Viet Bowl and an Israeli restaurant called Wielands. The hotel bar is also a very pleasant environment. I would choose to come back to this hotel on a future visit - it was comfortable and quiet and the studios are so spacious.

There wasn’t anything not to like. If I was being very picky I’d say a walk in shower rather than a bath with a shower in it would have been nice - but that’s only because my knees are a bit creaky and my balance isn’t brilliant.

Perfect location right at Potsdamer plaz station but also easy walk to many sites, Brandenburg Gate, Topography of terror, checkpoint Charlie to name a couple. We had a good sized room with ample space which after a long haul flight of 22 hours, it was wonderful to enjoy the space, along with a very good sized bathroom. We did not get the opportunity to enjoy the restaurant for dinner but certainly rate highly the breakfast options. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend the Mandala hotel for a Berlin trip.

A combination of a high-class hotel and an apartment. It is an excellent place to spend a few days or stay longer, thanks to spacious rooms equipped with small kitchenettes. The bathrooms are great and comfortable, so is the fitness room and Spa area. The breakfast is exquisite, and the staff encourages guests to try hot dish and drink options. The entire team is very helpful and professional. I also need to add that it's a great hotel for runners - it's next to Tiergarten, and you can quickly get your clothes ready for another run (the hotel provides washing machines, dryers, and detergent).

The interiors of the hotel, as well as all the restaurants, museums, and public buildings in Berlin we visited in April were excessively heated, which contradicts the energy transformation necessary for ecological and geopolitical reasons. I do not blame the hotel for following common practices, although it was inconvenient for us, especially at night when it was too noisy to sleep with open windows and too hot even with the radiators off. I would appreciate more natural temperatures.

Not the ideal location for tourists because the hotel is in a commercial neighborhood. But it is incredibly close to the Philharmonie, where we were going to hear concerts. This is a serious plus. The food in restaurant Qiu was terrific. However we found the 35 euro per person charge for breakfast a little high since we generally have only coffee and bread or toast for breakfast, so we had breakfast at a coffee shop across the street. I would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at an Executive Suite. Very clean, well lighted, exceptional sleeping quality with high quality pillows, blankets, etc. Location is fantastic and the staff very kind and professional. Very good breakfast, with high quality food (not that kind of breakfast with tons of options, but none with the expected quality). There are a lot of attention to details and the guest feels like home. Internet works pretty well.

Booking through an agency in my experience generally gives you the level and standard paid for, however not the better room a hotel is prepared to offer. For instance previous reservations made through an agency I found rooms were below expectations. On this occasion we paid for a premium room thinking it would come with a view…and it did…an almost brick wall! (a building wall just meters away!) To the credit of the Mandala staff and manager this was corrected following a brief discussion, we were upgraded to a room with a more than acceptable view at an additional impost. A suite which we loved and represented good value. The staff were generous with advice to us first time tourists in Berlin. The restaurant and bar were convenient and most of all the breakfast over the nine days was the best we have experienced ever. The wait staff seemed to predict your breakfast needs and efficiently made it happen. The buffet too was substantial and displayed first rate produce. In our spacious room there was a small kitchen which included a microwave and a coffee machine. In dealing with me, all staff deserve a raise!!!

Minor pedantic point…the layout in suite 903 was awkward as the both wardrobes were separated by the bathroom. However the view of the central area compensated.

Excellent hotel and restaurant. High standards of service and cleanliness. Superb location for anyone wishing to explore Berlin with easy access to S and U bahn plus nearby shopping centre with good choice of shops, restaurants and museums. Very happy to highly recommend this establishment. All staff from reception, housekeeping and particularly restaurant were courteous, helpful and professional. Great breakfast choices.

The choice of background music was truly appalling and intrusive. Far from creating a relaxing atmosphere it really grated.

the room was a little on the expensive side but was really amazing. it was similar to a one bedroom apartment, with small kitchen, living room, separate bedroom and large bathroom. The views from the room were also fantastic. The hotel is located just a 2 min walk from the metro and train stations, so transport to the airport and around the city was very easy. The hotel is also situated near some wonderful coffee shops and a large food hall, which was fun.

Excellent sized room, comfortable and clean. amazing location for seeing Berlin. staff were super friendly, and even noticed it was my birthday (I guess from the check-in forms?) and when we returned to the room that evening there was a bottle of Prosecco being chilled, with a lovely note saying happy birthday.

very little. if I was being picky, the tablet for ordering room service, etc, had a dead battery, and needed to be used on the charger.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room, I’ll definitely stay there again. We enjoyed the gym, the spa rooms etc.

Only a couple of gripes, breakfast at €35 is really too much, I didn’t use the hotel for breakfast at all. Secondly, the room had a desk, catering for a single business traveller, but if you have two people staying in the room you probably want two comfortable seats, not one and a desk chair.
