The concept and design of this place is amazing. The vibe of a space travel is there. Decor, lighting, music - all aspects were thought of. Animations of various planets in multiple places are such a great touch. The ceiling light that "runs in front of you" after detecting you coming. If you like the space theme, you will enjoy this place. While there is no private bathroom per se, you can have your own room with a toilet and shower, locked and private while you take your time. I would say it's actually quite private and convenient. It was also quite clean. Having a single card to open all things is quite convenient. And the location is very central.

The place needs some love. The escalator/steps to get to the hotel (inside the building) needs a vacuum or broom. It's just full of dirt and trash which spoils the whole impression. Few capsules are missing the side panels which works against the atmosphere. The place desperately needs a better "space bar" where people can make tea/coffee, eat and just hang out. Such lounge zones are very typical and useful for hostels. I wish I could turn the lights on in my capsule without the need to get fully in. If I came for just a few minutes, I would rather avoid to get into my capsule in the street clothes. But to get the lights on I have to insert the card into the socket, which is at the very back of the capsule itself.

Read the reviews and wasn’t too sure at first as people complained about the pods being too hot…glad I didn’t listen!..the pods have air coming into them and I felt great the whole stay(in the summer heat)..very clean, lost of bathrooms, superb design, pods felt very private and not like other hostels…loved it here and wish more countries had this!

The escalator to the hostel doesn’t work(if your fit it’s ok just a little annoying)..that’s all

The staff explains everything at the beginning. The lockers are big-enough and are possible to lock without buying an additional padlock. There's quite a lot of separate toilets with showers, no queues. A clean towel is included! Close to the center - most things are within a walkable distance (Alexanderplatz ~15 min, Brandenburgen Tor & Reichstag ~25 min, Central Train Station ~35 min). I have not used the safe inside, but a standard one from most hotels is there + you can close the capsule of course. Tip: Two in-capsule's USB ports are good-enough to charge the phone overnight, but I'd estimate 1,5 A/5V tops. It was beneficial there are normal plugs in the toilets to charge with the faster wall charger, if you need that.

I can complain on 2 things - the diodes on the buttons inside the capsule are very bright and it may be hard to sleep without an eye mask. The materace is good-enough, but not very thick - no paradise for those who like it soft. +I discourage using the "table" from the wall at night - it makes so much unfortunate noise. :S PS: I was confused at the beginning that the building number matches, but no sign of Space Hostel. Please make sure the place is more visible from the outside. I spent 45 minutes on the phone nearby and at least 3 groups of people were searching for it more than 5 minutes. If you have troubles finding it, seek for "TEDi" shop.

- The accomodation was located just a 15 minute walk to Alexanderplatz - You’ll get an unforgettable moment sleeping there, you really might feel being in space - Public transport was very good (Spittelmarkt, Hausvogteiplatz or Stadtmitte as nearby Metro Stations) - Potsdamer Platz and Brandenburg Gate are a 20 minute walk away - Modern bathrooms and clean capsule - Friendly and helpful staff - Supermarket (LIDL) just around the corner

- The toilets were quite dirty because of the water from the shower (Would be appreciating to provide a wiper or mop for the floor) - You can still hear everything outside of the capsule, unfortunately the capsules make a noise when you want to enter or leave them - There are buttons for the light in the capsule which remain illuminated during the night

The capsules are very spacious. At 6ft 3 (1.92m) I could still sit up in a single capsule and watch something on my laptop. The bathroom set-up is great. Yes, they are shared, but there are around 12 individual rooms, each with a clean toilet, sink and shower. Once you lock the door behind you, that space is yours. They also seem to be cleaned daily around 7am. Lockers are very roomy for a suitcase and jacket.

The steps to the upper capsules were a bit too much to the side of the door, making it harder to get in and out. It was hit and miss getting a bathroom where maybe the shower light didn't work, no shelf for toiletries, or the sink-tap sensor was not sensitive enough. Not a fan of single use towels but there really wasn't any way of drying them due to the closed spaces in the capsules. Also not sure where you'd dry a rain jacket if you needed too. To activate the lights etc in the capsule, you have to insert the card into a machine on the side. It was impossible to reach without climbing into the capsule. This was annoying if you're already out and standing on the floor and have forgotten to remove the card. Without the card, you're not getting back in once the doors are shut!

Generally, this is just an excellent option to stay if you have limited budget for your vocation to Berlin. Both for solo or group stay, this is faily best variant for such money. Clean towels everyday, good location, hot shower and clean bathrooms. Honestly, didn't expect all that together for less than 50 for a night.

It might feel quite surprising for some people that capsule don't have any kind of heating system installed and only have vents. On the one hand is more comfort temperature for better sleep, but on another there is quite lot of time needed to warm it up. For warm lovers it could be tough at first

Really good location. The capsule was spacious and could easily stay the 5 nights there. I enjoyed that there was individual bathrooms that made it feel that little bit more private. I would stay here again.

The mattress and pillows could do with an upgrade as they were a little thin. It can be very noisy early morning and late night, unfortunately there was a staff member who had a 20 minute conversation (This person was been shown around but then turned into a general conversation) with another person staying at midnight right by the capsules which was very loud. When I popped my head out the staff member didn’t seem phased on how loud she was.

It was incredibly clean. There are many individual toilet/shower stalls. The capsule felt spacious and cozy. It is in the same building as a drugstore, a delicious kebab place, and a yummy bakery. Also, there’s a bus stop right in front and an underground station a few blocks over. It’s a great location and is walking distance to many points of interest.

There’s a line for the toilet/shower in the morning and at night, even tho there are many. I’m a deep sleeper, but when they turn over the capsules in the morning, it can get noisy. I was able to fall right back to sleep as it was in the thick of my jet lag. The outlets are outside of the capsule, so I can to lay awkwardly if I wanted to be on my phone while it was charging.

Great location on Leipziger Strasse, at a walkable distance to major tourist destinations like Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Museum Island. I arrived at around 21h00, so it was dark, and I had some trouble finding the place - the sign indicating the hostel is discreet. It is located on the first floor of a building complex, and you can go up by elevator or climb up the broken escalator. The space itself is clean, with some funky blue/white colours. Quiet is maintained at all times. The bathrooms were all complete and individual (which definitely adds comfort), and cleaned 3x/day. Staff was, though not particularly welcoming, helpful when needed. I felt that there were a few moments of "lost in translation", as different members where more comfortable with certain languages than others. The capsules themselves are spacious (if you're 1.65m like me!) and comfortable, and accessible through your own personal card. You also have your own medium-sized locker for your items. There is a common luggage room for larger luggage, accessible to all clients, that has video surveillance. It was a comfortable stay and I would consider returning - it is essentially a quiet and unobtrusive place to stay, perfect for solo travellers or couples.

The place could do with a comfortable common area with tables and chairs, should people wish to hang out, eat or get some things done on their laptop - but admittedly this might not be in line with the concept of the hostel.
