Everything was good

Great location, cute rooms, kind of quirky in a good way, excellent staff. Hamid greeted me and gave me good suggestions. He was awesome. It had a nice garden in back that was underused--green, quiet, pretty. And I had a balcony, basic, but nice. It's close to the train station, but just far away to get away from the dirt, etc., of the train station. It's not superfancy neighborhood, but short walk to historic town and shopping. Right by Little Tokyo, with great restaurants. The place at the corner was good--Chinese Lantern.

From the first moment we arrived and said hi to the receptionist to the last when saying bye to the housecleaning staff on the stairs - EVERYBODY where exceptionally pleasant, smily and welcoming. The place is spotless and really well decorated, the mattress was really comfy, the breakfast was well thought through and delicious! This is the first place in a very long time when someone asked - 'how did you sleep, did you sleep well?' The location is beside Little Tokyo and a pleasant walk to old town. We definitely will be back. Thank you!

This hotel provided a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a very quiet area, even though it is just a few minutes walk from the train station. It is also within walking distance to the old town and shopping centre, with a bus & tram stop and plenty of restaurants round the corner. Breakfast is superb with a very wide choice, which came as a surprise in such a small hotel. Staff is very friendly, especially the Italian couple who served breakfast during our stay. It was a real pleasure getting to know them and chatting with them.

Nothing at all, but if I really had to mention something, it would be that a shower would have been preferred over a bath. It would also have been lovely to have breakfast on the terrace in their back garden, but unfortunately the weather was cold and wet.

The room was great and mostly cool in spite of the 33 degree heat outside. There was air conditioning but we rarely used it. The bed was very comfortable. The ensuite was well designed and had an excellent shower. The breakfast room was very attractive and there was a wide choice of breakfast items including eggs and bacon cooked to order. The hotel has easy access to the station and many Asian restaurants.

The best thing about Sir and Lady Astor are the people working there! They are lovely and warm and do everything with a genuine smile! The breakfast was awesome and plenty in a very lovely breakfast room that reminded me of a little British townhouse. I had an issue with my room - which was swiftly dealt with in a professional and kind manner. The location is easy to reach from the train station, but still quiet and nice.

The mattress was worn out and should be replaced.

Very beautiful and comfortable with storage space, and also amazing extra supplies such as a sewing kit in each room. The hotel can hold your storage before check in and after check out. The location is excellent as it is less than 10 minutes walk from the central train station and also in the area of Little Tokyo.

The cleaner opens all rooms early in the morning to clean them, leaving all the doors open. It is extremely easy to have your things stolen by other hotel guests, or steal their things. We complained and were told that the only way to avoid this is if we ask for our room not to be cleaned. We were surprised that with so many amazing features and services, that the room did not have a coffee/tea station.

The breakfast was healthy and fresh! I really wished i could have stayed longer. The location was also central so that was excellent. It is only confusing if new. the also, the room was clean.

I wish there was coffee/tea in the room especially if you arrive late. So, either the hotel provides it downstairs or they can make sure it is there in the rooms. Either way, guest be aware that this isn't there so you can just get your own at the shop before arriving if this is your annoyance.

If you need quick access to the Düsseldorf train station the location is unbeatable. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Rooms are spotlessly clean, beds are made up with luxuriously soft white sheets and there is a tiny cake plate with a slice of cake to welcome you. Breakfast was tasty, including homemade waffles and scrambled eggs.

It's not in the most beautiful area of Düsseldorf, but the hotel has created a cozy and charming environment.

I had a lovely penthouse room with a balcony, spacious bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean. I brought the room breakfast option, it was so worth buying, every day brought a new taste sensation from the juiciest blackberries to salty German bread which could be eaten with a wide selection of cheeses. The hotel is near the station, down a side street so a bit quieter. It’s near to Little Tokyo and not too far from the Alstadt. I recommend staying at this hotel.

It would be really nice if the room could have tea making facilities or a fridge. There is a 24 he reception and it’s to get drinks from their.
