I am not satisfied because there was one night that supposed to be refunded to me because of the strong storm that forced us to stay in and even there was an emergency alarm about not going out in the storm in Amsterdam 5th of July Booking said that they will contact the hotel about that night but the hotel refused to refund it to me I gathered with the hotel management and the said they are willing to negotiate with booking about that night but they didn’t contact them in the first place ( Booking ) note that I got a message of booking says that the refuse to give me a refund !!!

Location was exceptional! Very close to the shopping street and christmas market. We also liked that there was a bar and a cozy lounge with board games and a soccer table. Very clean and nice rooms. We liked that there was the possibility to stream Netflix, Youtube,… to the TV.

Staff was not very friendly. Both check in and check out went quickly without a small talk. The beds were too hard to our liking, but that’s rather a personal problem. Our room sometimes smelled like sewage. We believe this was caused by the ventilation system. From 22:30-00:00, the rooms & hallway was quiet, but starting from 01:00, there was a lot of noise coming from down the hallway and the floor above us. All the other times of the day, we did not hear anything. No idea if the noise was caused by staff or rather other guests and we were just unlucky. The hotel offers free wifi but it’s a very weak signal, especially in the evenings.

The Moxy is trying to be a trendy hotel and kind of works but also kind of doesn't. The room was very basic but modern and clean. Temperature was good with individual room thermostat. Room service was excellent cleaning the room well every day. No wardrobe, no tea making facilities, there was a hair dryer. Bathroom clean and functional. Location was good, a 15-20 minute walk to the river or the posh shopping area, locally there are some excellent Japanese dining options. The Messe exhibition space is a 20 euro taxi ride away.

What didn't I like, every 2 steps there was another sign or graphic trying to grab your attention. The lifts (elevators) were hidden behind graphics that made them look like old fashioned doors. The breakfast was a bit of a scrum trying to make something from a fairly average selection of stuff. You then had to find somewhere to sit which might be on a bean bag or a small counter. For 15 euros essentially I had a coffee and a croissant. Ultimately I would go back again, I just wish they would tone things down a bit.

Hotel Moxy is very well situated near/in Düsseldorf's "Little Tokyo", just a quick walk from the historical center and train station. The hotel is nice and modern, with a "urban chic" decor. Staff at the reception desk were very helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable, in same kind of decor. It's all very fuss-free, but it works! Everything still looks very clean and well maintained, the bathroom in particular, I have to say, was spotless like I've rarely seen. The hotel bar and reception area looked pretty decent too, good if you've got a bit of light work to do on the go. The area around the hotel has a TON of cool places for food, too. All in all, a nice hotel and would probably return there for another trip in Düsseldorf. I would give the hotel an 8.5 but it seems I can't finetune my rating, so there you go!

- I could check-in early - The bathroom had shampoo and cond, which is nice bc I was travelling light - The tv and wifi were working nicely - They had nice air ventilation - And a little sofa with extra 'pillows', which I personally like :D

- The bathroom door would close automatically, one time at my hand, bc the light switch was outside, not major, but I am just not used to that.

Great service at the bar, fantastic location and very clean rooms. I wish they had some kind of clothes hanger or a slim wardrobe in the room. When on business travell living off the suitcase is not a choice i would bent for... Pls have make shift wardrobe or hanging stand provided for business travel 🙂

We had problems with the parking garage, the machinery didn’t work so we had to call someone to open the gate whenever we wanted to enter or leave the garage

Excellent location for city centre and the train station, both were 5 mins walk from the hotel. Great breakfast in the hotel. Interior design is next level, it is so cool and chic. Great for people who like art, design and fashion! Free foosball in the bar too! Good, spacious rooms with a lovely big modern shower.

Nothing! Its more expensive than others in the city, but worth it.

receptionist who checked us in had a quite cool/cold manner. I was expecting a welcoming drink, which was mentioned in many comments, we did not get any. I had one cocktail "got moxy"at the bar in the eveing for 9 euros, the cocktail was disappointing.

Everything about the hotel was good ( i didnt try the breakfast ). However the price i paid for the rooms - booked months ago - suggested that as a brand new hotel they werent aware that a large trade fair was taking place. The pricing closer to the event - over €400 per room per night was a scandalous rip off and should their algorithm for that same trade show next year hike the price to similar extortionate levels, that will be the end of any stays at this hotel.
