The location is perfect just a 3 minutes walk from the Main Railway Station, also ideal if someone arrives by car as there is a 24 hours multilevel parking just around the corner (only 12 euros-day). As there is no road in front of the hotel (just a local train) there is no noise. The room was nice and clean. The bed was ok but the pillow was big and somehow hard for me as I prefer a soft pillow, but it doesn´t stoped me to have a good sleep. The bathroom has ample space with a big and well lighted mirror and a bathtub (in my double comfort room). Breakfast (06:30-10:30 on weekdays and until 11:30 on Sundays) is more than ok with a good selection of pastries, cold and hot items, different coffee and hot chocolate to choose, water with and without gaz, juices, philadelphia cheese (both classic and with herbs) etc but after 08:45 the personel does not refil what is empty and also the breakfast room is a little bit small for all the guests coming almost the same time, usually around 09:00. All the stuff (reception, breakfast, house keeping) is smiley, polite and helpful, especially at the reception which make me feel welcomed. Its a real bargain when the price of a single with breakfast is around 40-45 euros-night, up to a max of 60 euros-night.

The free wifi (without password, which means that you need a VPN to be safe) is very slow and not working well, if not at all at some times during peak hours. Keep in mind that the Hotel consists of different buildings connected so guests have to walk a little bit from the one and only elevator and there are some steps going down as buildings are at different levels which may not be suitable for people who they can´t walk easily and totaly unsuitable for people in a wheelhair especialy without an escort who can lift them. It sounds as a disadantage but it´s not a big deal, having in mind the low price, the good breakfast (when its included), the nice room (both renovated and the classic ones) and the perfect location.

Breakfast was fantastic, superb choices, food quality was great. Visitors from a wide variety of backgrounds appeared well catered for. The breakfasts were some of the best I ever had!

I'm being picky here - I had to queue one morning for breakfast. That really wasn't the hotel's fault, it was just because of the amount of people that decided to have breakfast around the same time that morning! (The lady in charge of the breakfast area was quite "sharp" with people, however.....she organised that breakfast room with military precision)

Comfy beds, room was clean. Great size for the price.

I did find some hairs in the bath tub area but its fine. In general the room was very clean. Oh actually, unforunately, there wasn't a electric socket near my bed for charging, or easy access to one near the room's desk?! So I charged my phone in the bathroom. Also I couldn't connect to the wifi and the staff should have told be right from the beginning that if it didn't work via normal process, then I could have entered a simple code in the browser. They had a sign about this but it was not clear, or in the room.

Big and comfortable bedroom. Breakfast buffet was good. Both evening and morning staff were friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is conveniently located very close to Central train station, with 24h reception desk.

The accessibility inside the hotel was uncomfortable. I stayed on the 6th floor in one of the buildings. Even though that building has an elevator, to get to it required going up a set of stairs and down another, and cross many doors. I had asked for an easy-to-access room given some circumstances but perhaps there was no availability. Maybe they do have accessible rooms but if no stairs is really necessary, I would be sure to confirm this explicitly

It's a great location if you travel by train as it's just by the station. The center is a quick 15 minute walk away. The family room was loft style and a great size for our group (4 people). The room was bright as it had skylights. The beds were very comfortable and large. The staff at the reception desk was super friendly and helpful.

There were no blinds on the skylights and other windows, so if you wake up due to light, then that was a bit tricky. The breakfast system could be more efficient as there was a lady guiding you to a specific table instead of just an empty one.

Very handy to train station, restaurants and bars. Best pillows ever. Great breakfast.

Only one chair in a room for two people. An extra step is required to log Apple devices into wifi. We were only told about this step when we told reception that we couldn’t get wifi in our room. It would have been good to have been told about this step when they told us the wifi password.

The central railway station is just few minutes to walk, it was just perfect for me. The reception was friendly, the room is big enough and clean. The old town is walkable to reach. Breakfast was ok. My flight was night so I can store my luggage at the hotel. Will love to come back.

Could be better the hotel give a number when they help to store the luggage to avoid unnecessary wrong luggage or stolen.

Everything about the Novum Madison was good. They had proper room keys for a start, the rooms themselves were spacious, the bed comfortable, the bathroom good too, I had no complaints. And I loved the breakfast too. As for the location, spot on, right in the centre of town... and close to Da Bruno, a very good Italian restaurant on Karlstrasse.

Nothing was wrong, I liked everything about the Novum Madison.

It is located very close to the main station. The break was very good. The room was big and comfortable.

The breakfast was till 10:30. And at 10:28 the staff started to send the people out of the breakfast room. I did not like this behaviour. I have not seen this in other hotels at all. At the other places, the passengers still can sit a bit longer and no one forces to take them out! The room was a bit old-styled.
