Room was decent sized and the bed was comfortable and plenty big. Aircon was a big plus as there was a heatwave at the time. Shower was fantastic, very good water pressure. Parking on the street next to the hotel is free for 2 hours and between 7pm and 8am (so if you park at 5 it's free all night).

Breakfast was a little minimal, there's a lot of choice of yoghurt but for everything else it's very basic for the price, could do with a few more cooked meats such as bacon or sausage, as far as warm there was only pancakes and eggs. WiFi barely existed; was completely unusable throughout the stay.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, making day trips to Karlsruhe city and the Schwarzwald region. The rooms were large and clean - our daughter was given an adjoining kids room which was connected to our bedroom via a door. Breakfast was good. The rooms were air-conditioned, which is a big plus for those warm summer nights.

Our room was 'open plan' which basically means the shower area and bathroom sink were integrated in the bedroom, without a separate bathroom door. This would have been a bit weird if you had your kids with you in the room but it was fine as our daughter had her own bathroom in the adjoining kids bedroom.

A good hotel. Rooms spacious and basic, but with everything you need. Air conditioning was good. The connecting rooms with children were nice. Breakfast was more than adequate. Very nice was the spacious underground parking, so we could safely leave our belongings. The town of Ettlingen is cozy with an old town center, with plenty of dining options.

I appreciated the friendliness of the staff. Furthermore the location was a perfect fit for my plans during that weekend. Also the breakfast buffet was excellent serving bio food and being served by very supportive and friendly staff.

Everything was fine from my perspective. In terms of the room, I prefer to have bathroom and bedroom more separated but it was okay and I was aware before.

The breakfasst buffet was wonderful and the selection perfect, so that really anyone can find something for their own taste. Staff were extremely friendly and didn't rush you at all - so taht I enden up chatting with some acquaintances for over an hour at the breakfast table. I love that the breakfast was until 11:00 AM!!! I thought the rooms were very comfortable and the A/C saved my life, because it was super hot while I was in Ettlingen. Also, I am usually a light sleeper and can't stand A/C noise - this hotel has a VERY quiet system, so that I wasn't bothered by the noise while still keeping it on!

I just have a commetn on aesthetics. While the hotel is new and well maintained, I found that the carpeting (on the 3rd floor where I was) was hideous! Also, in the room, the pairing of the carpet and the strange lady-bug PVC wasn't great. Just didn't fit with the overall decor of the room. But that's just my personal opinion and it in no way affects my overall opinion.

Breakfast was fantastic, and the family room was perfect for us. Thank you. Also, I want to thank the lady at the desk who copied a picture of my daughter and me at the Elvis concert. I will copy it for my friends far and wide. THANK YOU.

It would be nice if we did not have to check in over and over to get WiFi, but in the grand scheme of our enjoyment, this inconvenience was minor.

Breakfast and services , great service at breakfast and great service and nice and honest people at cleaning.

On the site they are dog friendly and when you come at IBIS you find out that it is not allowed to bring with you a small dog. So at least don't write dog friendly on the site.

Very good location, just off autobahn and near town center ,for restaurants but the room was quiet. Breakfast was also very good.

A plug for the sink so as not to waste water. Parking was a bit expensive.

* An absence of parking places near the hotel entrance. There is an underground parking, but you can not park your car near the hotel doors when checking in.

Proverbial German cleanliness, excellent fit and finish, good buffet breakfast, smallish room, unfunctional bathroom layout and design, hotel parking charge could be less, or public parking 5 min away.
