The location is perfect--close to the train station, close to a nice walking area of town, but also close enough to jump on the freeway to go south to Innsbruck or north to Ettal or Oberammergau. It's so quiet at night, I didn't need earplugs (and I'm a sensitive sleeper)! The bathroom has all necessary amenities, and the minibar beverages were complimentary as well which was a beautiful touch. The spa services are wonderful, the restaurant was wonderful--honestly, going half board here was the best decision I've ever made because the four course dinners were heavenly. The underground parking gave me true peace of mind as well. The bed was also an awesome size for a solo traveler - bigger than a normal single for sure!

Great on both! Friendly & helpful staff, a great location for walking the town & going to zugspitz! Plenty of drawer & closet space, we should have called desk for another luggage stand as we had to place one suitcase on floor of closet, little hard to keep bending to get to it, maybe desk staff could ask if another is needed, still we could have asked. 😘

Pillows were really flat but we did ask & staff brought us two big & fluffy pillows which really made a difference, another thing that could have been brought up at check in.

All the staff was fantastic & very polite & hospitable except the gentleman at the front desk by the name Herr Fatur . Sorry to say but he was extremely rude & rough in speaking . There was a small issue we had with our price reference to single or double which eventually got sorted out but this gentleman insisted 3 times please go to another hotel ?? We were shocked to hear this over & over again . A staff like this can really hamper the reputation of ur fantastic hotel . Kindly look into the matte

The room was fairly good size, clean and an elevator was available. It is located close to the center and stores are easily reachable. A second pillow was provided immediately upon asking for one.

Unfortunately, the second evening I was placed in the Stadl for dinner. I was the only guest eating and it was a bit chilly. There was only a free big table in the restaurant but not given to a single person. I had to ask for my gluten free breakfast three times on the second day. The breakfast team was not very coordinated which is something never experienced on other trips. That was very unfortunate but for business travelers with appointments annoying.

Wow. From the very beginning I just loved my stay here. incredibly friendly staff who made the check in easy peasy. underground parking - this was tight but we were lucky to have no car beside us one of the days and I think the staff plan that out on purpose so that was helpful! the facilities - pool, sauna, fitness centre (including kettlebells, a rower, medicine balls etc) - all well kept and ready useful. The sauna area has a cold plunge pool too which is great for hot/cold therapy. the room - such a huge suite with a Mountain View and balcony, mini fridge with extra glassware, enormous amounts of storage, complimentary water, robes for the entire family including child size robes!, large bathroom with rain shower. I found the bed too hard and the pillow inadequate but I called the front desk and the added a mattress topper and brought another pillow and it made for a much more comfortable sleep on night two. There were multiple face towels and I’ve never seen that before! lots of towels and extra toiletries. There was even a Jura coffee machine in my room and one outside of the fitness room. I was spoiled during my stay with the coffee. breakfast - wow! they bake bread and pastries daily and they are incredible. great selection of hot and cold and even Prosecco every morning. we all loved the breakfast hotel bathroom in basement has hand towels and extra sanitary items Upon checkout we received chocolates and they filled up our water bottles with ice water for our gorge walk too! The location is excellent. walking distance to many restaurants. The hotel even has a Michelin Star restaurant right there but we didn’t eat there. there are two elevators for three floors and I found that to be more than adequate - we didn’t wait once. The entire hotel has a family feel and I did NOT want to leave all the friendly faces. I would absolutely go back and highly recommend this place

This is a gem of a hotel. The location is perfect for the Garmisch area. The staff were friendly, competent, and wanted to help. The facilities were 1st rate. The rooms were large, well decorated, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Our room had a nice view, and I am guessing that many rooms also have an amazing mountain view. The spa was amazing for a small hotel. Underground parking is a bonus. The restaurant served an amazing 3 course meal to us, and it was very reasonably priced. In all the value for money here was very high, and the next time we come to Garmisch we will most certainly stay at the Hotel Zugspitze.

Nothing. Our experience was wonderful. Maybe they could have moved a few clouds so our trip up the The Zugspitze yielded better photos (kidding), but seriously, the experience was very very good.

The room was very sizable, and the view from the balcony was unbeatable! I arrived in Garmisch in the late morning, and was able to drop my bags and personal items off with the VERY friendly and accommodating staff at the front desk. It was a very nice surprise when I checked in late in the evening that my belongings were already waiting for me in my room! The breakfast was incredible, and the hotel is just wonderful.

Huge room and everything was really comfortable. We were really disappointed that we were only there for less than 24hrs. Breakfast was amazing and staff were always super friendly. Location was perfect for walking to the downtown area.

It was fairly expensive, but we knew that at booking. Our room did come with dinner but that dinner didn't include drinks. Might be a standard practice though. Underground parking was really tight.

The staff were exceedingly knowledgable and went the extra mile for us. We had 4 minutes to catch a train and the found a hotel van to take us even though the hotel does not normally provide shuttle service. Their price fixe 4 course menu was excellent and very reasonably priced.

We had birthday celebration at the property and booked several room, with various sizes, in total to allocation dozen of adults plus many kids (so this review represents multiple bookings all-together). The reservation was simple, and rooms were assigned very accurately. We have contracted property upfront with all the instructions and they were friendly and accomodating. They also helped us with cake order and delivery. We also asked them for common dinner arrangement on the evening and they made it possible by giving us a nice private area at the end of the restaurant, plus they did assigned a dedicated waiter to take care of us. The waiter, Lilia, was fabulous, knowing many languages and easily managing our very international team, listening and consulting on choices, suggesting a great wine and being very open heart and carring. Big kudos for that! All rooms very comfortable, wit mix of design between old-fashion and modern, seems like gradual upgrade is going through interiors. Pool facilities aren't extensive, but was OK to use. The views from the rooms were nice, especially from the Suite terrace (huge) overlooking the streets and mountains. Check-out next day was smooth and efficient.

The parking isn't easy - you can try to find street parking, or go into garage (which is what we have booked), yet to get to garage you need to have a special code that you get upon check-in. Yet to get to check-in, you need to park somewhere. In theory, you can use a temp place infront of the hotel, but as we came with multiple cars, it was very lengthy and inconviniet process. The breakfast next morning was cumbersome as they didn't knew how to serve a big table in the way they usually do so, and until a management hasn't got involved, we were seating and wondering how do get served.. They resolved that though, yet I would appeciate a more proactive thinking ahead - especially as they did the dinner very smoothly a prior evening.
