I was on a family vacation. The hotel felt too business like type.

Friendly engaging and professional staff, room was spotless and decently equipped with good soundproofing providing a quiet environment, breakfast area very spacious and well thought out compared to some other hotels I’ve stayed at recently.

Nothing really except the evening menu is very limited compared to most Premier Inns in the UK I’ve used. Some reports mention the room air conditioning not being very effective, well we arrived during a heatwave and I found that as long as the curtains and window were closed the system worked efficiently enough with sounding too obtrusive.

The hotel is what you'd expect from Premier Inns - a comfortable night in a very pleasant clean hotel which is very good value for money. It is around 10 minutes walk from the train station which is handy, and then around 20 minutes walk into the old town which isn't too bad (trams run by outside so you could get in much quicker if you want to take one). The reception is nice and large and has a nice lounge and bar behind to relax in. My room was very nice and also bright with a huge window and it was a good size with a nice bathroom. The bed was comfy and large. Under the hotel is a large supermarket which was also handy, and although some walk from the old town there are still nice bars and restaurants in the immediate area. This hotel was really good and also fantastic value for money in a pretty expensive city. Highly recommended!

I didn't have breakfast as it seemed a bit overpriced, so I used the next-door supermarket cafe instead.

Absolutely, some of the best hospitality staff we have ever had the pleasure to meet. The front desk and housekeeping staff were SUPER. Many, many kudos to Thiago, front desk manager, who was amazing in his knowledge of Heidelberg. Thiago guided us thru check-in and then explained the city transportation system and the highlights of Heidelberg. Thiago's insights on Heidelberg's activities for the weekend, especially the Heidelberg Illumination spectacular, were priceless. We have NEVER seen a more well orchestrated fireworks celebration in our lives. (We are from California and experience the shows at Disneyland and Las Vegas.). Bravo, Heidelberg! It is a credit to the entire Premier Inn corporate structure when you have outstanding employees like Thiago, who go that extra mile and are so professional and welcoming. If corporate really reviews these writings, then this young man should be seen as a SUPERSTAR. The entire staff provided a clean, safe, fabulously enjoyable environment. Thank you to Premier Inn! We are sure to stay at Premier locations throughout the world AND return to Premier Inn City Centre, Heidelberg.

Everything was great!

Breakfast was good value staff were helpful and friendly

Our beds were below par and we asked to be moved which was done without hassle . We just wondered why they would have such poor beds in the room in the first place . The second room had much better beds but only 7 /10 compared with our our hotels on our trip which is surprising given Premier promote that the beds are their priority for a good sleep. The first beds were like hammocks almost . We are not complainers and this is the first time ever we have asked to be moved ! . Tea and coffee in the room was nice as other hotels on our European trip did not have that . Apart from the beds it was a great hotel and the location great . Just be aware there are two premier inns not far from each other so check the address before walking there!! For obvious reasons !

You can choose pillow! There are not only one small and flat than usual in other hotels. Here you can find a second one! Very good idea! The staff is super kind and helpful. I congratulate the designer and installer of the air conditioner because it is cleverly placed and works exactly as it should. This is very rare in hotels...

Close to our room, in the corridor, there was a door that was often used at night too, and everyone slammed it loudly.
