Fitness room needs some renovation, more weights covering also women weight lifting

the room was large and comfortable and clean. There were free bottles of water provided for each of us. We also received a certificate fro 2 free cocktails in our room! The hotel was a pretty short walk from the train station and about an equally short walk to the old city.

Our room was right across from a city utility site. When we opened our windows there was quite a bit of noise coming from the facility. This meant we had to keep our windows closed which was a bit disappointing, but the air conditioning worked well and all was good.

Staff were extremely helpful and kind from reception to the lovely concierge, (sadly, I don't recall her name) who assisted me with transportation before my departure. The rooms were very clean and spacious.

Was a bit of a walk to the center of town and the Christmas markets, but I enjoy walking, so not much of a bother. NH are very well set up for business groups onsite and there were two such groups while I was there. All was fine, but sometimes I felt like I was at a work conference rather than being on holiday while at the hotel.

Large well-appointed room with a nice bathroom. The whole hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. We parked our hire car in the hotel's underground car park which is an additional cost - this is fine but for a nice hotel like this I'd normally expect this to be included for free especially as it's their exclusive car park.

Our room was a little warm even with the slightly noisy aircon running, this was fine as it wasn't a particularly hot weekend but could be an issue if the weather was warmer. It's a decent 30 min walk to the old town of Heidelberg, this wasn't a problem for us but worth mentioning.

We were travelling with our large dog Percy and the hotel staff were lovely and accommodating. The reception staff were particularly great and this made our stay relaxing and enjoyable, as did the lovely lady concierge. Breakfast was excellent and varied and we appreciated a table being made available where we could have Percy with us. We loved all the little extras like the water and sweets at the entrance, the complementary drinks in place of room service, the take away cups for coffee after breakfast, the terrace from our room and the general spaciousness of the public areas. We would definitely return again and wish to thank all the staff - they are a great team.

The property was quite impressive. The way they incorporated the old part of the building with the new, using glass paneling was visually quite stunning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. Our room was great as well. Nicely laid out with an extra chair and desk to work in the evening and overlooking a quiet residence next door. Great bar as well for a late night beer with my wife. Loved this place! We’ll 100% be back when we’re in Heidelberg.

If I had to critique something, it would be nice if parking was included in the stay. At 21€ a night, a bit of an expense to consider if you arrive by car.

Eco friendly is taken to an extreme measure although they provide you for free with anything needed but they miss basic stuff that you see in 4* hotels like : slippers in the closet , one small complementary water bottle , cotton for makeup removal , etc . One has to open their app and order from a nice long list of available things offered but you need to wait . I ordered a bath robe so I can go up to spa , waited no one came , called the room service they said ok , waited for another 20 mins someone gave me tooth brush but no robe and when I asked them they said oh I’ll go look for you then came again sorry we are out of them .

The location of the hotel is very close to the city center. It is on a main street and accessing it might be a bit tricky with ongoing traffic. But once you are inside, it suddenly transforms into tall celling green quiet and peaceful place. The staff are polite, efficient. Our stay was quite smooth and went without a second thought! The breakfast was also nice - standard continental breakfast. We requested for a family room - the room was big and spacious and the extra bed was just perfect! Very neat and clean.

Maybe just one thing - the shower is in the bath. But that is not the issue. The issue is that the shower glass that is meant to stop the water from splashing outside, does not have a rubber stopper at the bottom. Which means that water slips out when one takes a shower. So there is wet floor. This is a hazard for young children and older people who might stay. We stayed in two different rooms and both rooms had the same issue. Worth a thought here.

Very attentive staff at breakfast. Exceptional breakfast--lots of choices and plentiful. Beautiful gym with a view of the city. A bit of a walk to activities but close enough to historical city center and train station to walk. Turn down service was a lovely surprise with the best chocolate on the trip! Short walk to laundromat.

Air conditioning not particularly good. Room was warm and never really got cool.

A few blocks away from the main tourist attractions of the old town, and access to the castle. Walking distance to the main train station or short bus ride. Quite neighborhood. Verry close to the river Neckar.

Staff is not very engaging, but nevertheless professional. Restaurant attached to the building, but not affiliated with NH served mostly Italian fare. But plenty other options within walking distance to property, and 3 bakeries less than 2 blocks away.
