The hotel is well appointed and decorated with period furniture; everything was very clean and the hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The location of this boutique hotel is perfect to many, many sights and activities in Munich within walking distance and public transportation without being with all the tourists (though I am a tourist :) It is lovely to be able to have a run in the nearby English Garden before breakfast. Buffet breakfast could be eaten in the beautiful and zen like garden area or taken inside. Coffee or tea appears to be available during the day but must be served by the staff. The staff was nice and upon request providing us with a water kettle during our stay. (Please let the housekeeper know I put the container with cotton balls in the closet near the comforter to make more room on the bathroom counter 😊)
Air conditioning would be wonderful for the rooms facing the street; it would cut down on the noise from trams and allow you to completely close the curtains from any light. We were still able to sleep as the trams do eventually stop for the evening). This is probably not as much an issue during the winter and spring/fall months. This is also not an issue for the rooms facing the garden as we had a second single room facing the garden and it was cool and quiet even during July. The bathrooms are small but very, very clean!

Overall it was a lovely hotel, with really lovely staff that were happy to help out. There was no kettle/tea/coffee in my room but they were happy to provide me a kettle and some coffee cups (I brought my own tea). I had a garden view room and it was extremely quiet, I couldn’t really hear my neighbours on either side - the only noise would be from the corridor with people coming and going but this was minimal. I had a late flight out of Munich and was a little disappointed that there was no option for late checkout other than booking another room for another night, but they did let me store my bag in a locked room while I went out to enjoy my last day. The old town was about a 15 minute walk away which was pretty easy, otherwise the tram stop is very close by and there is also an underground/metro entrance very close by. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Thanks!
The hotel is in a bit of a quiet residential area which is nice but it is a bit quieter. The street itself is fairly quiet, as an over cautious solo traveller I was keen not to be walking home late at night! I did walk home in the dark a few times although early (latest 7pm) and felt safe with people around. For the price I would have expected some tea/coffee and a kettle in the room. There was also no safe in the room. No option for late checkout (although bag storage as I mentioned).

The hotel is lovely, with quaint furnishings in the rooms, a lovely lobby library sitting room with an interesting history. We enjoyed the scrumptious deserts with tea in a nice garden patio in the evenings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nicely located within 10 minutes walking to the old city centre, the Park and Marienplatz, which allowed for many walking trips to local attractions with ease. The location offered many restaurant choices within walking distance as well.
We arrived after a very active River/bike cruise and were hoping to have a few nights to rest up before our journey home, however with no air conditioning that was not the case. It would be lovely in the cooler months, however.

The hotel is located in a very nice area of the city (and apparently a quiet one, but maybe it was because of the dates in which I was there). It is not far from the main attractions of the city, and there is a subway station just a few meters away. The building is nice, and what I liked the most (and that is the reason why I say that it exceeded my expectations) is that they give you presents!! You get a free book on your bed when you arrive (for me it was Thomas Hardy´s "Woman Much Missed"), and since I was there over the Easter weekend, they left for me a nice Easter box of Lindt chocolates. They also had more chocolates at the reception for the hotel guests, by the way. The staff was really friendly and gave me some nice recommendations for places to visit, as well as for lunch and dinner.

The hotel location is within walking distance (~15 minutes) of both the English garden and the old section of Munich. It is a quiet, safe neighbourhood. We also loved the charm of the older building, and the rooms were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also received a free upgrade, which was a very pleasant surprise!
Breakfast is not included, and it is pricey (~16 euros). So, we went to a local cafe or bakery each morning, which was nice (and quite affordable). The bathroom is on the smaller side, and there was no mini fridge or hot water kettle in the room. We were surprised about the lack of hot water kettle to make tea since this is standard at most hotels.

A very elegant white entrance in a quiet street in Lehel. Attention to detail, a thoughtful decoration, period furniture give this very much atmosphere of a Boutique hotel. Welcoming and helpful staff, beautiful room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, this hotel is all very well appointed. We stayed in the standard double room, the smallest of all double room types, but still perfectly convenient and still nicely arranged within the hotel style and good value for money. Lehel is a beautiful and very quiet area, very close to English Garden (great for a run or a walk) and the city center is very accessible via a short walk or by tube and tram (station less than 1 min away so all tourist attractions are less than 10 min away). Good restaurants and shops close by.
It's a double room but for some weird reasons Booking would not let me extend the number of guests from 1 to 2. (and it was written single bed in the confirmation despite clearly showing a picture of a double bed and stating double room in the title!) The staff was very helpful and we could manually amend this on arrival. Still a bit of stress as I was not 100% sure i had booked a double bed/room due to the confusion in the confirmation.

Old-fashioned charm, personal touch, lovely quiet garden out the back, excellent mattress and shower, lovely location close to the English Garden, museums, opera, city center. Always nice to find one German and one English small paperback on the bed as a welcome gift.
I didn't have any trouble, but potential guests should be aware that the rooms are not air-conditioned. Each room comes with a fan, but for those used to aircon it won't suffice.

This is a small, boutique hotel. It is absolutely lovely, filled with fine antiques and tastefully decorated public areas. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The Junior suite was especially nice located on the interior side of the building, with a small balcony off the room. And as mentioned the staff were friendly, VERY helpful and welcoming, a step above other Munich hotels where we have stayed.
The TV (CNN) didn't work, requiring staff assistance. WIFI in the junior suite worked only in a specific area of the room. These are tiny technical details which are easily corrected and a minor hiccup. While the hotel for us (seniors) was a bit of a walk (to Marienplatz), there is public transport very nearby.

This hotel surprised us with its charm and great location. It is beautifully decorated, the staff were super friendly, service was excellent. Tram stops and underground station are only a few minutes walk away and walking to the city centre takes only about 15-20 minutes. There are nice cafés and restaurants near by and a beautiful little terrace in the back. Excellent breakfast! Very good value for money in Munich.
Rooms are a bit on the small side but cozy and comfortable.

This was simply an unexpected gem, the kind of hotel you expect to find in Vienna. I thought "Mozart" as I entered the room. While ornate, the room was perfectly functional and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was thoroughly modern, albeit "bijou" (total footprint of the suite is your typical 15sqm). Fast wifi.
The lift is small and slow. Overall, the hotel is not terribly accessible for wheelchair users. Room keys are still of the hardware variety that Mozart used to leave at reception. No a/c - which is probably fine most of the time (old building). My room faced towards the street and the tram that goes past may disturb light sleepers.
