Unsöld's Factory Hotel

Very nice and stylish hotel. All staff is friendly and helpful. Room was good size with very good shower. Excellent location!

Seams like they don’t have large beds, but two single beds pushed together which is misleading from the room description. We asked to fix beds as they were constantly moving away from each other - that was done immediately by the staff however it was still slightly uncomfortable to sleep.

Very nice hotel within ten minutes walk of Marienplatz. Excellent breakfasts.

While the following list is quite long, I should note that these are minor issues, and it's difficult to find a better affordable pet-friendly hotel in the centre of Munich. Still... rooms, unfortunately, have no AC. Shower setup, while functional, is quite cramped. Underground parking is very, very tight -- though it's great that it's there at all. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is very non-touristy, though both the Old City and the Englischer Garten are only a short walk off. Note that the hotel is deep in the Umweltzone -- you'll need a green sticker to drive there without the risk of a fine.

The staff of the hotel made this hotel exceptional! All staff members are curious, friendly and very professional. The location of this hotel is truly FANTASTIC! It an easy walk to all key museums and art galleries as well as the English garden, old town and all key places of interest. The hotel has a great modern, urban design that relates to the historic origins of the building. There is convenient parking in the basement of the hotel. The hotel is dog friendly :) The breakfast is buffet-style continental with reasonable amount of choices.

The parking arrangements were a little messy and despite having reserved parking well in advance I was told to vacate the parking spot for one day of my stay. That seemed a little disjointed and was probably a minor error.

Great staff. The team solved my request quickly and in full. Also, they gave some great recommendations on events, sights and the city. Comfortable location. It is close to the Wave and English Park, both great attractions. Further, there are a few bakeries/coffee shops/restaurants that look local. Great to avoid stepping out directly into the crowds of tourists. It is a bit further from the city centre but within pleasant walking distance. The single room is nice and clean. The bed is comfortable.

Single room space. The shower in the single room is tight but manageable. The room is sufficient in space. However, I would choose a bigger room if you intend to spend some time there.

Clean. Comfortable bed. Easy communication with staff. Location was good (within 10-15 minute walking distance to city centre.) My room was facing the inner courtyard so no outside noises were heard. Staff were able to securely store my luggage before check-in and also after check-out before my night time flight.

No tea, coffee or kettle in the room but you can request a kettle. No tea though. No mugs in the room either but you can bring one up from the coffee station in the lobby. No slippers. Bathroom very small but functional. Toilet kept running water after flushing but if I pushed the flush a couple of times it stopped. Unsure of person above my hotel room was just heavy footed, but I heard all their footsteps above me.

Gorgeous hotel inside! We loved the ice theme in the bar and lobby (the place was an ice factory before). Very friendly and helpful staff. We didn't eat breakfast there but the dining area looked very nice. Our room was fantastic, luxury beds, immaculate modern bathroom, nespresso coffee maker in the room, sweet balcony overlooking the street, the place was way beyond our expectations at that price. Great value, location, facilities and staff. Close to old town center and English garden. We had a few draft beers and wine at the bar, excellent and reasonably priced, served with crunchy complimentary wasabi peanuts. I did a lot of research before selecting this place and I was so happy we chose this hotel for our stay in Munich.

The parking garage is very tight for a large car, we had an SUV. Might be easier to park on the street.

The hotel and rooms are in perfect condition. The rooms are large and the furnishing are high quality. The beds are very comfortable. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is in a beautiful part of Munich in an area that felt very safe with close proximity to bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants.

There isn't anything I didn't like. No complaints or concerns.

had a room with a bath as requested on booking. great location and very friendly, helpful staff. option to not have room cleaned and have wine instead (although we didn’t realise we needed to sort separately so we’re expecting it to come to the room).

would have preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together. bit too warm in the evenings (would rather that than too cold though).

Great location in quiet neigborhood, walking distance to Odeon. Lehel U-bahn station at 200 meters. Nice Vietnamese restaurant next to it. Quiet inner courtyard to enjoy nice weather. Close to the English park where a lot of wave surfing action can be enjoyed. Online check-in and check out were convenient. Very clean.

Temperature was still ok, but I can imagine it gets somewhat warm in the room in the middle of summer w/o airco

The location was very good, away from the noisy centre, but only 10-15 min walk to get to the action. There was a very good shower and plenty of space for clothes. the hotel had a chilled vibe and the staff were friendly. The outside seating area was nice to relax in and have a drink, as well as seats around the bar and comfy lounge area.
