Hotel Lux

The room was a standard size, clean, and in a very convenient location. Only about 3 blocks away from the main plaza (Marienplatz). Everything you needed was within walking distance: food, souvenir shops, dessert places, S Bahn subway locations, etc.

There was no elevator (which we knew to start with), but walking up and down three flights of stairs after a long day is something to prepare for. Also, it is above a bar/restaurant, so although they give you earplugs, I used my standard white noise maker, since my husband snores...which worked better. They don't tell you to enter through the bar and you "check-in" at the bar itself. That was confusing, but it was a great stay.

Super friendly staff, nice interior, great location, delicious breakfast, tea and kettle in the room, earplugs and sparkling water. The hotel is beautiful decorated with dozens of mirrors, books. Breakfast was fresh and varied. They make really good coffee! Highly recommended!

it was little bit hard to take luggage to 4th floor without elevator, but we knew about this specificity so it wasn’t an unpleasant surprise. reception is at the bar, we arrived on Saturday night and it was quite confusing to get with a big luggage into a full bar to get checked in.

Stuff is friendly. Location is good in a close proximity to the old city center. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is feels renovated recently and well equipped. Good value/money rate. Breakfast quality was good.

- The room has two levels and a capacity for 4 people. It's logical to assume the families with two kids as the major audience for such a room profile. However, instead of one double- and two single beds, there are two double-beds (a normal one and a sofa-bed). Very inconvenient for the kids of different age and gender to sleep in one bed. Funny enough, our friends stayed in a smaller room in the same hotel and they had two single beds for their kids. - There is a movement detector on a staircase in the room that switches lights on whenever anyone moves around. Very in disturbing in the night! - There were no bed lamps downstairs - only main light is available for the entire room. - Breakfast if too expensive.

The breakfast was excellent. Really delicious. There was no buffet but when you tell the cook what you want they will serve you a delicious customized plate that gives you a great start to the day! Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The bathroom door in my room couldn't close and the building had no elevator. The carpet was a bit musty and I could feel the springs in my mattress, which was not great.

Excellent central location. All staff were brilliant, but special mention to lady who was day reception, breakfast chef etc! Bedroom and bathroom comfortable and clean. Good to have drink making facilities and ironing board (and ear plugs).

Bathroom very small, although in good working order with plenty of hot water and toiletries provided. Understand pressure on space in old/city centre location. Disappointed that only tea and no coffee provided in room.

The location was perfect and the room was very spacious and had free water bottles! It's on top of a bar so easy to get drinks. And the staff was so nice and helpful.

If you open window the noise from the street was quite loud even if I was in a quiet room. No elevator so you have to be prepared to take luggage upstairs. Bathroom sink was very small.

Excellent location … just a moments from Marienplatz. Brilliant when getting train from airport and really central to see all the beautiful sights.

Rooms were a bit warm … but the weather was exceptionally hot! It reached 35 one day of kur stay. Staff supplied us with fans and we’re all really lovely.

we need to highlight the extraordinary friendliness and helpfulness of in particular Antonia and also Maja. We had a medical problem on day two and Antonia was really, really helpful. She went above and beyond and made our stay something we will remember with joy. Thank you very much Antinia, you are the best!!!

We liked everything.

It was a great property, location was wonderful. I was a but worried as I read reviews about the noise from the bar and we were travelling with our 5 year old but we were on level one directly above the bar and had no issues at all with noise. The bar was so lovely and a nice please for a drink. Staff were extremely helpful.

The location was perfect and the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly 👏

Ensuite size was extremely small (nothing can be done due to the building layout) and the twin beds were not very comfortable. These are small insignificant issues in my opinion as the likes far outweighs these and I would definitely recommend and use this hotel again.
