Very very friendly staff. Ultimate experience with the breakfast, great swimming pool and sauna and hamam, great cigar lounge, bar and lounge also excellent. Reception team is excellent and valet parking is also great.

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich is an exceptional hotel (and I underscore here exceptional) centrally located in the heart of Munich with easy access to public transportation and a short walking distance to many sights and museums, including the Bavarian National Opera House. Also close by are several restaurants serving Bavarian and international cuisine. The Schwarzreiter Bar & Restaurant in the hotel offers fine dining with great daily menus and their signature Wiener Schnitzel which is simply delicious and excellent. I recommend eating here as well. Also recommended is the hotel lounge, dating to the mid-19th century. It is the hotel hub and a favourite spot with locals and residents for afternoon tea, cocktails or a snack with piano music. The hotel has lovely staff, from reception to housekeeping. All were very helpful and super friendly. The spa with pool and fitness room on the top floor cannot be beat with superb views of Munich's skyline. The breakfast offers a rich, varied buffet, with ala carte breakfast choices, to meet all palettes and the Maitre d's: Christine and Christian are true professionals who meet any wish you may have. Rooms are tasteful and well-appointed, with spacious bathrooms, beautiful linens and towels. Bathrobes and slippers are offered for spa visitors. This elegant hotel has beautiful decor equipped with all modern amenities, offering old-world charm at its best.

The hotel is lovely, the lobby has a nice atmosphere and is perfect for an afternoon tea. The staff was very nice and helped me every way they could after my flight kept being cancelled. Some of the reviews mentioned the room was a bit small, I feel the pictures actually don’t do the room justice, the room was lovely, it was not extremely spacious but this is a city hotel and it had all the comforts I expected from a Kempinski. A special thank you to the concierge who organised alternative travel arrangements at the last minute.

The hotel was definitely busy especially with all the flight cancellations, it was difficult to find space to sit in the lobby at times and there was a bit of a queue at reception. It was also impossible to call the hotel directly outside of normal hours - which I realise is now the same for all big chains - you just end up calling a service number for reservations. I miss the old days of being able to call and speak to reception easily.

This is an outstanding traditional hotel that has become a hotspot in Munich. It is super well located in the heart of the old town of Munich. Easy to walk to many sights and sounds. Service at all levels is superb - from the doorman to housekeeping. SUPERLATIVE breakfast! Great care and attention are given to many details, which make guests feel very special and at home at the same time. Wonderful linens, bath towels and duvets. The fitness and pool on the top floor cannot be beaten with the spectacular city view!

Excellent staff very helpful. Good quality and selection for breakfast. Spa was nice and well run by the friendly spa staff. Maintenance staff were very responsive in fixing the shower. The hotel has a luxury lobby and excellent service there.

The room was not as large or luxurious as you would expect for 700+ EUR per night. The shower needed fixing because the touch buttons didn't work properly, one curtain was hanging loose from its rail in places, which I fixed myself, and the duvets were not great quality, one even had a hole. For that price a larger room, with bath and stocked minibar would have been nice.

You can feel the quality when you take your first step into the hotel. Check-in was smooth and fast. They gave us the necessary information, offered a welcome champagne and showed our room. The room was quite spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The variety of buffet at breakfast was satisfying. We ordered hot items from menu and they served it to the table. The general hospitality was very nice. The location of the hotel was very central. We easly reached all the landmarks and christmats markets by walking.

The lobby bar was too small and too crowded. It was not easy to find an empty table and sit. And also the service was too slow.

Location is prime in all respects. Breakfast is good, especially the host, accommodating guests. Sweet and caring lady.

In reference to room comfort , there is a lot that could be improved- bed comfort, duvets, pillows, cleanliness, noise. What we really found irritating is the noise of the floor staff ( cleaning, room service, banging doors in the corridor, never ending knocks on the door from the supervisors and staff checking the mini -bar, etc.) . Furniture is outdated. Lamps are terrible.

The rooms a tad bit small and could have been bigger for that price. Also I did visit their suits and don’t believe they have been recently renovated- they don’t fully live up to the standard I expect from the four seasons.
